Something I wrote on account of me being bored

I hate the Irish.

I think Irish people tend to hate English more than themselves.

I'm a little Irish. I have blood coming from pretty much everywhere in that area of Europe (English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh, Scandinavian, German).

Strange that I live all the way down in Australia.

So weird that someone with British roots would live in a former British colony.

Pretty much every former colonial is every part of Europe.

No, my family didn't move down here until just before World War 2, we weren't a part of the original colonies.

Yeah, never mind is right.

I just find it a little curious that somebody with no roots in the southern hemisphere would be in Australia.
I've never actually been given a good answer as to why my great grandparents came here either.

I'm pretty sure I'm not Irish, unless I have an Irish ancestor, which is something I highly doubt. I have more British blood in me, though i don't have one of those English accents.

1. You don't get an accent from having ancestors from a county.

2. British = Pretty much England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

I know my mom descends from Spanish nobility and I think from France too, my dad's family I'm pretty sure is almost pure Portuguese.

Do you know of anybody called El Sid? I've always loved that name and it does seem to come from Spain/Portugal.

El Cid (with a C) was a Castillan historical figure, so technically he was Spanish, I guess.

By the way, this is really stupid but...
So, the other day I was talking about Magellan with a friend and I suddendly realized I knew two different historical figures to be the first to go around the world, which couldn't be possible. The portuguese Fernão de Magalhães and Fernidand Magellan. It actually took me a while to realize they were the same person.
