The Indelible Memory

Repressed memories; no... not quite repressed but locked away. Like the breaths of some sleeping beast lying underneath the surface of a deep lake these memories bubble up to the surface only to pop. Yet even the smallest of these popping bubbles leaves a faint ripple on the water. By itself these ripples are too insignificant to cause a lasting change but if the beast should begin to stir it's breaths would agitated the water's surface into motion. Perhaps if enough bubbles reach the surface something will take notice of the sleeping beast and wake it from its centuries old slumber...

The clock ticked slowly. Too slowly. Spring Break was a glorious time in Tristan City and most students who sat in their last class of the day at Tristan High were watching the clock slowly tick its way to the final bell. After that it was sweet freedom.

The kids languishing in last period history were no exception. Klein and Clyde were the two unfortunate souls being forced to suffer the southern drawls of Ms. Gibbon's history class. She had a voice best described as sleep inducing and thick with an accent that made Klein want to stick a power drill in each ear and drill out his ear drums.

He didn't want to hear the history of the tribes. They had no baring on his future. Why was he being forced to suffer through this shit?

He looked up at the clock... 14min left till freedom...

Meanwhile in literature class it was silently reading time giving Raven plenty of time to do inward reflection or to follow in everyone else's suit and watch the clock tick to the exact moment that school would be over.

In P.E the class was finishing up. Heading back from the soccer field. And girls were staring at Ari, again. If Klein had been around to comment he'd probably be envious of Ari's ability to glue every female's eye to him and keep it there. Considering the gym uniform's short shorts it was probably extra uncomfortable. No one likes gym uniforms except those perverted fat middle aged otakus who have a girls in gym uniform fetish. Creepy.

At Alsford Zeno would be in his last class of the day as well. Something about medicine no doubt. The professor was a blond haired thirty something year old man who wore glasses and dressed in cloths that went out of fashion when disco died. Unlike the hell certain students were suffering in a certain class in a certain school Prof. Marion's teaching style and way of keeping the class always interesting and entertaining meant that no one was ever bored.

And Aera would be... doing... something... perhaps cruising through the city in that nice car of her's?

*Ari is briskly walking towards the lockers room, keeping him eyes on the ground with his cheeks as red as can be.*

*Aera is indeed driving through the city after getting out of work early. She has been driving around just to feel the fresh air in her face, waiting for Ari's classes to end so she can go pick him up from school.*

*Clyde, of course, was at the back left of Ms. Gibbon's classroom, listening to her, but at the same time, not really.*

Clyde: <(This is ridiculous... why did I have to get stuck here?)>

*Clyde sighs and lowers himself, still listening to Ms. Gibbon blab on.*

*Raven puts down her book and sighs softly.*

Raven: <(This is the most boring book ever...)>

*Raven buries her face in her arms and puts her head on the desk*

Zeno: <Incredible... the treatments for cancer nowadays are truly astounding...>

*He scribbles down notes and smiles.*

Finally after what seemed like an eternity the bell rang ushering a collective sigh of relief from the whole class which quickly exited.

Klein was no exception as he nearly bolted out the door. He was going to enjoy his two week spring break as much as he possibly could.

The bell happened to ring whilst Ari was still changing. Bad luck really.

Class has ended bringing an end to the mindless drivel that Raven was reading. She could go home now and enjoy her spring break.

At the academy class had ended for the day allowing Zeno to head into the city if he wanted or go back to the dorms.

*Zeno decided to go the city for some window shopping.*

*Raven walks around the town looking for something to do*

*After getting dressed, he gets his backpack and walks out of the locker room and towards the school's main gate.*

*Aera parks outside the school and slowly heads towards to entrance.*

*Clyde got up and picked up his backpack, then left the room, waving goodbye to Ms. Gibbon before doing so.*

Clyde: <(Ahhh... finally done.)>

*Seridyn finishes off her soda and tosses the can aside. She walks out of the alley, hands in her pockets, eyes half closed.*

"Hi Ari! Bye Ari!" Klein waves to the young underclassman as he passes by him walking out the school's main gate and totally missing Ari's hot sister pulling up to pick up her little bro. Shame.

Ari sees Klein pass by him as his sister pulls up.

Clyde is fully hit with the joy of spring break... or rather hit with the back of a rather large senior whom he's just run into the back of. The senior whips around looking all pissed and shit with a face that says, 'Its fighting time bitch'

Random stroke of chance or luck Zeno, Seridyn, and Raven end up in the same area only feet from each other. What will happen I wonder?

*Zeno notices the others around him and nods to each of them.*

*Serydin shows a tired smile to Zeno.*

*Clyde takes a few steps back.*

Clyde: <Oh... sorry.>

*Clyde sees the man's pissed off face.*

Clyde: <Hey, I don't want any trouble here.>

Ari: <...B-Bye.>

*He walks up to Aera, who takes his backpack.*

Aera: <How was school?>

*He shrugs and she smacks him in the shoulder, chuckling.*

Aera: <All right, let's go home.>

*They head back towards the car and get in, Aera driving off.*

Aera: <You wanna go to the beach first?>

Ari: <O-Okay.>

*Serydin steps up to Zeno, a curious frown on her face.*

Serydin: <...Are you hungry? You wanna go eat something?>

Zeno: <Huh?.... Oh, sure. That sounds nice...>

*He seems a bit startled at the forwardness.*

*Serydin gestures to Zeno to follow her. She remains silent.*

*Raven watches the two, feeling as if she was invisible*

*Zeno follows the girl, still unsure of just what the hell is going on.*

*Serydin quickly spins around and glances at Raven.*
Serydin: <You come,too.>

*Raven's eyes widen*
Raven: <Me?>
*She slowly walks forward*

The senior cracks his knuckles when out of nowhere a hand grabs his wrist. A young man who looks to old to be a normal student but too young to be a teacher stands there looking into the senior's eyes with a dead stare. "You shouldn't fight in school. Even if its out for Spring Break" his voice is soft, regal, and princely

<"Oh yeah who says!?"> the senior goes to swing his fist but to the white haired young man seems to dodge with almost unearthly speed and fluidity. The senior stumbles and goes to swing again only to achieve the same result.

<"QUITE YOUR DODGIN!"> he gets angry and bum rushes the white haired youth who happens to be close to the window. He dodges effortlessly and the senior breaks through the window. A window that should have taken the blow and held but broke easily. The senior flies from the third story forward then plummeting and impaling himself through the neck on the horns of the dragon statue in the center of the fountain in the school's courtyard dying slowly, painfully, and gruesomely.

"You shouldn't run indoors ether its against the rules" he sticks his hands in his pockets and walks away as if he didn't even notice Clyde.

Meanwhile Ari and Aera arrive at the beach. Its almost empty even though it should be packed due to everyone getting out on Spring Break. There does seem to be a young boy standing in the water enjoying the beach. He looks happy with a big goofy grin on his face.

"Yay Spring Break~" he has the voice of an exuberant child.

Raven, Zeno, and Serydin end up running into an intimidating looking man that seems to be lost. In one hand he has a bouquet of blue and red roses and the other a slip of paper that probably has an address on it.

"Shit... I'm lost. She's gonna kill me" his voice is gruff but oddly disarming despite that.

Right around this time Klein also seems to show up in the area. Raven would probably recognize him as someone who has tried hitting on her before.

*Aera looks at Ari and they both shrug and walk out of the car and down the beach.*

Aera: <No one's around but that kid, you can go.>

*Ari nods and takes off his clothes, diving into the sea wearing his blue boxers only.*
