Luculent Reveries

*The tentacles let go of her wrists and retract back into the wall. Another tentacle, a larger one, emerges in front of Clee and darts past him towards Euryale. The tentacle starts wriggling in Mimiru's hand. A larger one emerges from the ground and bitchslaps her. Yet another larger tentacle emerges from the top of the dome and grabs Clee by the tail.. fin.. whatever, waving him around*

Clegus: <Hey!>

Allina: <...No!>

*Allina listens to Thiera and nods circling around Sephiroth so that he's in between the two of them*

Allina: <Hey, old man, come and get me!>

*Razz stares at the glyph/mist as the Keyknives appear around him*

Celes<The mythical Gods of Magic.>

*As she finishes speaking, the Goddess of War forms. Abruptly, without warning, she thrusts out a hand, blowing Razz's Keyknives back, where they freeze to the wall. She then, quickly-but-gracefully, brings her hands to meet above her head. A mystical sheen forms there & the acid billows towards the group as a wave. Nero teleports above her, slashing at her head, but she momentarily turns to mist & it goes right through.*

N"We're fucked."

{Yes. You are.}

<Hmph.>

*Sephiroth points a finger at her, firing a blast of dark energy. A wall of ice springs up in front of her & the spells neutralize each other. Sephiroth raises his eyebrows slightly.*

E"Maybe I should resummon my Keyblade? He may be far enough that, by the time he notices, I can free us & demolish his lair. Then, when he has no place to hide, we can team up with the King to kill him. I don't think he'd miss one...."

*She darts around, dodging the tentacles.*

*Mimiru squeezes the tentacle trying to wrip it in two.*

*Taiyo runs off jumping to another platform.*

Clegus: <Is it that really a good idea?>

*He manages to free himself and darts down to get away from the tentacle. Mimiru tears the small tentacle apart and it fades. A large ice spike breaks in through the tentacles from the outside*

Ariel: <Euryale, guys!?>

*Allina takes the chance to dash forward and shoot a barrage of tailed light orbs at him*

Allina: <Take this!>

*Razz's Keyknives disappear and materialize next to him again. He raises his arm towards the Dreameater and they rocket towards it, enveloped in flames*

"I don't know. WE'RE IN HERE!"

*Sephiroth blocks the first few light orbs, but is forced to drop his sword when Thiera casts Thunder on it. The orbs hit him full on. By now, Dream Zanarkand is decaying. Buildings are falling in the background, the ground is cracking apart, & the ocean is advancing on the city.*

*The Dreameater waves her arm, creating a wall of ice that blocks the attacks. Celes creates a similar dome, keeping the trio from being bathed in acid.*

Celes<I can disable her magic, but I can't do anything else while I'm doing that.>

*Cyan slashes, sending a bunch of waves that break down the ice wall. Lilith pulls her towards her with some kind of dark ray, but she turns intangible just as Lilith & Nero try to slash her.*

"It's better than the last plan she had."

*Taiyo stands on the platform with her Keyblade in front of her ready to attack or defend*

"Where'd it go?!"

*The spike shatters and the tentacles start wriggling about and dive back down into the ground*

Clegus: <Phew.>

Ariel: <Are you all right? Where is The Evil Manta?>

*Allina points her Keyblade at his chest and a shooting star flies from its tip towards him*

Allina: <Nice, Thiera! Sephiroth. You will pay for hurting Spira!>

*Razz steps back, looking around, searching for the Dreameater*

"We gave him our Keyblades. He doesn't know we can call them back at will, so the plan is to help King Triton ambush him & finish him once & for all."

*Sephiroth blocks it with a barrier. Thiera runs up towards Allina.*

Sephiroth<You are owed nothing.>

*The goddamn sun apparently explodes, blasting down a ray of light. It impacts the Blitzball stadium ruins, vaporizing it instantly & moves towards them. Nebula dust surrounds Sephiroth like an angelic aura.*

N"What are you people, idiots?!"

*She blasts Nero back with a large amount of lightning. As he falls towards the acid, Lilith entangles her in a dark thorns as Celes holds up her sword, a glowing aura surrounding her. Cyan somehow runs across the damn acid, catching Nero & returning him to safety.*

"Then we can get out of here. No offense to either of you two, but I hate it here."

*Taiyo jumps back to the first platform and shoots a fireball at the Dreameater.*

Clegus: <Okay then, he should be arriving at Atlantica any second now. Let's go!>

Ariel: <Yes!>

*The ground starts shaking violently and three tentacles, these ones about twice as big as the ones that made up the dome, dart towards the group as a very loud screech is heard, even in Atlantica. A group of scared dolphins swim past the group, fleeing*

Allina: <What!?>

*Allina runs in the opposite direction of the beam and shoves Thiera forward so as to force her to run too*

Allina: <Dammit. Dammit!>

*Razz's Keyblade materializes and he points it at the Dreameater, a beam of flames springs from its tip and flies towards her*

*Eventually, the beam disappears. Looking around, Sephiroth is nowhere to be found. But he drops down from the sky, stabbing Thiera through.*

"Ahhh! Do it now!"

*She turns intangible to get through the thorns & the fireball, but is hit by the beam. Then Lilith slashes her across the stomach.*

L"So she can't stay intangible for very long."

*This revelation is spoiled somewhat by her palm-striking Lilith into the wall.*

*Euryale swims after them.*

"What's wrong?"

"I'm gonna guess it has something to do with the tree-sized tentacles that just appeared in front of us."

*Taiyo continues running towards the Dreameater, slashing it.*

Clegus: <Or.. that.>

*Clee points at The Evil Manta's throne. The area its located on is rising violently on top of some giant black ...head? The dolphins screech and swim away, one of them slapping Euryale with its tail by accident*

Allina: <Thiera..!!>

*Allina looks at her and runs forward, swinging her Keyblade at Sephiroth's back, to explode on contact*

*Razz jumps forward and set his Keyblade ablaze, hurling it at her*

*His eyes widen as he explodes into red pyreflies. Thiera sets to work healing her wounds.*

T"Is...is he gone...?"

*Taiyo's shoes melt due to the acid. The Goddess of War dodges her attack, only to be hit by Razz's. Cyan slashes the water, somehow sending a massive wave at her, which she phases through. When she re-emerges, Nero slashes downwards, creating a massive explosion of darkness as his eyes turn red. When the explosion clears, she rockets towards Razz & Celes.*

"How many giant monsters are we going to have to fight?"

*Taiyo shrieks as her shoes melt before hurling her Keyblade at the Dreameater.*

*The three tentacles try to grab the Keybladers. A black hundred feet high female torso rises from the ground. It has green eyes with slit pupils but is otherwise pitch black. It remains buried from the hips down, its hands included. Its whole torso is wrapped in amazingly large rusty chains that constrict its arms and body and its hairs are dozens of thick tentacles, waving into the ground, the same ones that had been attacking them for a while. Two of them, however, are curved forward over its shoulders and crossed over its upper chest, seemingly covering something that emanates a red glow*

Allina: <He better be!>

*She falls on her butt, panting*

Allina: <Nice ..job, Thiera. Are you okay?>

*Razz rams his Keyblade into the platform, blasting flames downward propelling himself into the air*

"It's huge...how are we going to fight something like that?"

"I'll be fine. He didn't hit anything important. I'll need time to recover, though."

*At that moment, Tidus limps in with Auron, who's walking as stoically as he can manage. He's followed closely by Ramza on a Chocobo.*

Ramza<If only I were to have the time to tell of the adventures I've had since we last met. I apologize I could not come to your aid sooner. Where is Sephiroth?>

Allina: [I am still here. *Laughing.*]

*The Dreameater ignores the Keyblade digging into its back & grabs Celes, smashing her into a wall & knocking her unconscious. The acid is still burning at Taiyo's feet.*

L"Watch out. It may be heavily wounded, but it can use its magic now."

*The Dreameater grins coyly as a group of ice blocks appear & revolve around it. She blasts beams of lightning at Taiyo & Razz from her hands.*
