Did you know that doesn't matter. The Euro is too. Hell, the Yen is seemingly worthless when you consider that it takes like, 1000 to equal 1 USD. The point remains, the USD is the world standard. The most reliable, and the most used.

Also, the bible bashers, and rednecks only populate the deep south, and since the south is not heavily populated it can be assumed that they really only make up about 15% if that. New York City has more in population than some of the STATES in which the rednecks call home.

That actually speaks volumes in and of itself. China owns US Treasury bonds, which are the most reliable "stock" if you will, in the world. When stock markets crash, people buy US bonds, because they know that the US always comes through. The US poor, is almost EVERY other nations rich. Also, the US is almost always in debt. It is how our banks were supposed to run, the idea being that with more people we owe money to, the more people that want to see us do well, so we can pay them back, only said fancier, and with details I'm most likely forgetting. I think it was Hamilton that came up with the idea.
