God Yet Lives

*Kite slowly opens his eyes with a groan, shooting a sphere of flames so compressed, small and fast it's almost invisible to the naked eye from his wheel into Gevurah's hands and the creation of his fire sword, causing it to explode whenever it reaches it and hoping the hydrogens being used to make the sword would feed it larger.*

*Once the sword dissipates, he smacks Kite's weapon out of the way, then reaches out to start choking him.*

*Kite's eyes slowly close as he seems to lose consciousness.*

"Are you having fun over there?" Yue seems to arrived on the scene.

*Gevurah erected a dome of fire around them &, as he was strangling Kite, his hands started to glow.*

Kite: <(...Hado...#54...Haien.)>

*Kite shoots the Nullific Flames Kido point-blank into Gevurah's torso.*

Yue watches.

Kira began moving towards the fire as well, as fast as his wounded body would take him.

Atsuko frowned, "Well if you plan on getting involved you may as well leave me here. I'd be happy to help out but in my condition I'm dead weight."

"Role playing?" Noct asked confused.

Atae looked up at the woman who was there, "Who are you?"

*From an outsider's perspective, the dome of flames dissipates not long afterwards. Gevurah has vanished & Kite is lying on the ground, his face covered in blisters from the neck up. Lilith lands nearby & disables her Hollowfication.*

"What in the world happened here?"

I was dispatched to investigate your squad to establish the means & possible motive as to why your Captain betrayed the Soul Society, as well as to discover exploitable weaknesses in her Zanpakuto. I believe on Earth they refer to studies such as this as "forensics.">

"Okay." Noct said, turning over onto her side. "Well, I'm kind of tired. Mind if I turn off the tv and lights?" She asked, pointing the remote at the tv with her finger on the off button.

"So, have you found anything, or did you just get here?"

Kira appeared on the scene and rushed over to Kite.

"The fight must have ended... the air is still pretty hot, though."

"He got his ass kicked by Gevurah as far as I can tell" Yue walks over to Kite and checks to see if he's still alive. He then looks back towards Lilith, "Are you going to be alright? You know, with your mother... and all... actually dumb question."

<You are not involved with the investigation, & consequently are not privy to that explanation.>

*She walks out.*

~A few hours later~

*Kite & Mortal wake up in the Squad 4 barracks, Kite with bandages all over his face. Also there are Noah, Nel, Unohana, Urahara, Senthose, Aroma, & anyone else who decides to be there. Lilith is nowhere to be seen.*

S"Look, it's simple. You can either give me a sample & free reign to act as strategist, or you can solve the problem yourself. You don't really have much leverage to negotiate with here."

Urahara<We have the Kido to safely escape from Hell.>

S"True. Of course, as chief strategist, I get to decide who gets it."

Urahara<How can you be certain she'll come back?>

S"I have many other things to prepare before a counterattack can be raised. What's one more?"

"No, it's fine. I'd planned on going to bed too. We can talk more about this tomorrow. Maybe on the way to pick up Lulu."

Atsuko is presumably also in the Squad 4 barracks with a cast or something like that.

Kira was sitting nearby to the main group, listening and tracing some scar lines on his shoulder with his fingers.

OOC: Not sure how they went from talking to "waking up" but whatever.

Mortal looks around and says nothing, as does Sab, cuz what useful insight would they have in this situation?

Atae, apparently left to her own devices for hours, cleaned up Squad 4 as best she could, thanks little to Chessed, who did nothing more than say she was doing an investigation, then left saying she couldn't say anything about whether or not she even started the investigation, leading Atae to wonder why she bother speaking at all.

Noct nods, "Good night, Euryale." She said, turning off the tv and lights, then going the fuck to sleep.

Yue is sitting on an empty cot off to the side fidgeting. He didn't want to interrupt the planning session just to ask Nel the questions he wanted to ask nor did he want to disrupt it by putting in his two cents.

*Kite groans loudly and sits up, looking around.*

Kite: <Not to be cliche-ish or anything, but what the hell happened?>

*Senthose peels back the bandages on Kite's face. Then hastily puts them back.*

S"We found out you're going to need more reconstructive surgery, that's what."

Unohana<Mr. Senthose-->

S"Chief Strategist Senthose."

Unohana<--Chief Strategist Senthose & Captain Urahara were just negotiating the terms of an alliance. Standard procedure is to administer the Substitute Soul Reaper Badge, but as Chief Strate-->

S"Just call me Senthose."

Unohana<--As Senthose so helpfully reminded us, he has no reason to accept a submissive position to the Soul Society. Still, it seems we have reached an agreement. He, Captain Urahara, & myself will be planning an invasion to Hell to occur some time this winter. And it seems as though Lieutenant Psyche will be given the Kido to transport the invasion team out of Hell.>

S"Of course, I'll have to get some things from the Living World, but that will have to wait until morning."

Noct shifted in her sleep, "No... I don' wanna go to hell, leave me alone..."

Mortal stood up, "So, what will we be doing until winter comes?"

"How do you know you're on the invasion team?" Sab asked, sort of hoping she wasn't.

"Because I plan on killing Keter."

"We train." Yue stands from his seat and walks over standing approximitely between where Aroma was and were Nel was. "We train and get stronger." Yue still sounded almost lost. He still didn't know what his purpose in life was. Why did he fight? What reason did he have? He wanted to ask someone like Nel who found a reason. He needed advice.

Yue's response was so blatantly obvious Mortal could do nothing but chuckle a bit, "That much I understand; I was asking if there was anything else that needed to be done."

"Recruiting more arrancar to our side maybe? I dunno" Yue shrugged.

"That is why I was asking Senthose." Mortal replied.

"That is why I wanted a sample of the Hell Miasma. Firstly, everyone will have to get used to breathing that. Secondly, I have reason to believe that it awakens hidden abilities."

*Urahara produces several bird cages with a skull lock & fire in them. Senthose grabs 3.*

"Everyone will need to keep these close to them. I will be delivering some personally. Beyond that, I've got some shit to take care of. I don't care what the rest of you do."

*A Garganta opens behind him to a forest somewhere.*
