*Fortunately, the knight is blinded, & therefore misses in his attempt to slash Seraph across the back. Seraph finishes him off with a Thunder spell. He then digs the knight's gil pouch off of his corpse & tosses it at Astarte.*

S"You can have the Gil. I've not the need for it."

*A dancer walks up & asks if they want anything to eat or drink.*

Sorrel sighs and makes a mental note to punch the knight later when he wouldn't catch flak for it then rides off for mulonde.

"Would you like company?" Zac asked a bit quickly.

Iliad furrowed his eyebrows, "Have you forgotten already. This distraction has done nothing but take us off course. We need to return to Lesalia, and strike back, finally."

"This 'distraction' should have already proved that the information we received from that Templar may have been false," Zac said, "I refuse to take the life of another on hearsay. We have nothing to go on right now, but we may be able to help with this."

"I'd rather be idle than involved with anymore of this," Iliad countered, "If you really want to go with them, then go. I will return to Lesalia, and follow the leads on House Convolt on my own. Return when you are done, and we can finish this together."

Mortal was starting to feel even more pathetic now, "But that is what I'm trying to say, it wasn't self defense for me anymore. She was defeated... and crying. I couldn't, in good conscience, strike her down like that."

*Sorrel makes it to the Siedge Weald when a Black Goblin jumps from behind a tree & points at him, screeching in gobbledygook. Afterwards, a minotaur comes hulking out of the trees behind it & readies its pickaxe.*

OOC: Never thought I'd be able to use "gobbledygook" completely legitimately.

Mortal smiled, but was quick to dismiss what Euryale said, "It was probably foolish, really. There is nothing to stop her from returning to this life, and I've made it harder for her to find another way to live. I'm not saying I should have killed her, but I don't think anyone should admire maiming someone."

"Mortal, you take compliments like a champion."

Sab didn't really know what the hell to do, "I... don't know. I don't think I should go back to Mullonde, I don't trust the church anymore."

"Perhaps you should go with Iliad to Lesalia," Zac suggested, "You'll only find more danger if you travel with us, I imagine, and I know you don't want to be a part of that."

Sab bows slightly, "Thank you all for protecting me thus far. It was... a pleasure traveling with you, minus the times it wasn't." She then ran to catch up with Iliad.

Sorrel doesn't even waste time playing around and just outright uses Abyssal blade.

After Duke Goltanna declared Ovelia the rightful ruler, & himself regent in her name, he began to march the Order of the Southern Sky towards Lesalia. Duke Larg, in turn, placed Prince Orinus on the throne, & marched the Northern Sky to defend the Capital in his name. The flames of the Lion War had finally been ignited.

But what shadowy schemes & alliances did those flames fail to illuminate?
