| While I was an Anime Expo, I came across a booth for the upcoming steampunk webseries called TINKER. I've heard of steampunk before and seen some of the fashion, which I like, and so I checked it out. They're trying to make TINKER a brand, with a comic, video game, full-length movie, etc. It was cool, and it rekindled my appreciation for steampunk.
What's your all thoughts on Steampunk? We have RPs here that use it?

| Agreed, I love steam punk. Not as much as I love cyber punk, but that is neither here nor there. | |

| It looks really cool, i had always thought it was an anime so never got into it. Now that i figured out what it is, I'm loving the genre. Do any of our RPs use it strongly? I dont really want to make one, but would join one in a heart beat | |

| Angry God will have touches of it, but that is mostly in the Dwarven capital. The rest is mostly going to be fantasy. | |

| Hm...suppose I could make a steampunk dedicated RP, but it would take more research on my part to even know how to go about it, lest it just end up a copy of TINKER. | |

| Steampunk is a nice genre, to be honest. It's absolutely amazing for artists to paint and draw, although many arguments have bloomed, to say if xx shit was steampunk, or not.
Truly a beautiful genre.

| Whether something is 'Steampunk' or not is kind of irrelevant. You could legitimately argue that Final Fantasy IX is steampunk, and you wouldn't be wrong, but it also wouldn't address the fact that things can be more than one genre, in this case fantasy, and sci-fi.
Speaking of, it could also be said that Steampunk is just a sub-genre of Sci-Fi. I'd agree, but in reality it just goes to show the malleability of any genre, and that arguing that something is and is not a particular genre is quite dumb.
If you enjoy Steampunk, then you might want to check out TINKER, the RP that this thread spawned.

Unless it obviously isn't. Dragonball Z sure as fuck isn't a historical fiction. - Quote :

This presupposes that Azena will stop being dead.

If you look very carefully, you will see some quality art. It's like Pandora's box, except 90% shit.

| Too much hassle sifting through the shit.
Like finding decent fanfiction. If you look, you can find good stuff. But it's easier to just hit up the fanficrec page on Tv Tropes.
