Mana Khemia RP

Story

Far above the world where normal humans live, there resides a floating island. On this floating island is a school known as Al-Revis Academy, a school where people go to learn Alchemy, an art practiced and used to create items from other ingredients. This school spawned many great Alchemists throughout the world, and eventually Alchemy became a common practice among people. During this time, humans eventually began to discover magical beings known as Mana. Mana eventually became a normal sight for Alchemists. All was well in the world, and everything seemed to be going perfectly.

One day, however, an evil Mana known as the Death Mana heard of this, and wanted to break off the relationship between humans and Mana. Some Mana protested, but were killed by the ones that agreed with the Death Mana. And so, the Death Mana waged war on the human world until one brave, unnamed Alchemist stood up against the Death Mana. The Alchemist defeated him, but at the cost of his own life. Recently, there have been rumors that the Death Mana has been slowly regenerating, and that he has been plotting to destroy the source of Alchemy teachings: Al-Revis Academy.


Alchemy

The primary teaching that takes place at Al-Revis Academy. It involves turning a bunch of simple items into another, slightly more useful item. Some classes at the academy may require you to gather items or make a certain item.

Mana

Mana are magical creatures that vary in power depending on what element they have. A water Mana would obviously control water, a fire Mana could control fire, etc. You can start with a Mana pact at the very beginning, or later on depending on which you'd prefer. Please note that you can also actually BE a Mana as a character if you so choose to, but you won't be allowed to pact with a Mana if your character is one.

Rogue students

Evil Mana disguised as students that the Death Mana has sent to infiltrate Al-Revis in attempts to kill the other students. They will try to stop you and will attack you when you're out doing your assignments. Most of them tend to wear black academy uniforms.

Beastmen/Beastwomen
A species that looks similar to a human, but they have animal features and tend to do a little bit better physically, but not so much mentally.

Character bio: Nate joined the academy because his Mana threatened to break their pact and leave him if he didn't learn Alchemy. Nate originally lived with his mom and dad at home, living a calm and tranquil life in the Forest, away from the outside world. Although Nate has lead a calm life, he trains daily to one day become a great warrior.

Mana bio (Optional): Encountered Nate in the forest one day and viciously attacked him, bringing him to near death. Amazed at Nate's incredible will to live, he decided to make a pact with him and has lived with him ever since. He also trains Nate in combat and is his weapon in battle.

I thought it would go without saying, but yeah, they can.

Appearance:

Character bio: Kelphy was born in a small coastal village. Her mother died giving birth and she was always an orphan, but she does pretty well on her own. She's social, nice and very polite, usually very cheerful and relaxed. Her whole village has had great respect for the sea and water in general for centuries, and the villagers have inherited water magic from their ancestors no one else knows. Kelphy has great talent and loves studying magic, reading all about it, but being a person that doesn't really like violence, she tends never to actually learn most of the spells. She can walk/run on water and fire highly pressurized jets of water at enemies for destructive purposes. Other than that, she has no special skills at the moment. She joined the academy to further hone her skills and learn about Alchemy, and is currently a Freshman.
