*Roatha washes his hands & comes out of the kitchen as Euryale heads to the sofa, then sighs.*

"Bring the pancakes here, I'll eat them. Wasting Astarte's food isn't exactly helpful."

*Tirea stares at the wall*

<When is our game tonight?>

Mortal now kinda wanted to have one, but didn't know how Euryale felt about people eating her food. Instead, she simply sat down next to her.

"Yes, that is all," Gabe said, then she looked at Tirea, "Uh, good question. Does it say on that, Ven?"

Astarte took the pancakes over to them, "So, uh, the funeral won't be too long away. You're invited. Both of you."

*Euryale takes it, thanking Astarte. She then looks at Mortal.*

"You want some?"

*And then looks back at Astarte.*

"Oh...yes, we'll be sure to be there."

"Presumably the same time it always is."

Astarte went back to her seat.

Mortal nodded, though couldn't bring herself to do so with any enjoyment, what with the subject of conversation turning to funeral invitations. "Uh, yeah, we'll definitely go."

Since I can't think of a witty response to all that vagueness, I'm just gonna say Gabe finishes her food.

"Is there anything that you need us to do for you today?"

"What's this?"

*Ven bends down, picking up Keter's card off of the floor, which had evidently fallen out of Gabe's pocket.*

"Um, no, I don't think so," Astarte said. "I appreciate the offer, though."

"Oh, how convenient," Gabe said, "I forgot to mention, I met Keter today. She wants us, and Mortal and Euryale to help her on TV."

"We're here to help," Mortal said.

"Help how?" Astarte asked.

"We're going to bring back your father, what the fuck do you want me to say?!"

"Just, anything we can do to make your life easier," Mortal said.

"There isn't really anything that you can do," Astarte said. "Actually... I have lost track of a relative of mine, and it is possible that you might know where he is..."

*Tirea gets out Tarrok's card*

<Tarrok wants us to appear at a press conference.>

"I'm certain that we could look him up for you."

*Ven looks blankly from one to the other.*

"Well, um... my cousin is kind of bad news..." Astarte stared down at her tea again. "Last I heard of him he had lost his home to some kind of Purist attack and was going to stay with someone else for a while. I haven't heard from him since, and I can't contact him. I don't know what he does or who he is involved with, but dad always made it sound kind of criminal when I asked, so... could you please check to see if he has been arrested or something? Unless he is in custody I don't really have any means of finding him."

"What is his name?" Mortal asked.

"Uh, maybe we can do both," Gabe said.

*Tirea shrugs*

<Sure.>

"Hector," Astarte said.

"Hm. I don't know anyone by that name off the top of my head. But what we can do is visit the station after we leave, to make sure."

"When?"

"Thank you," Astarte said. "...I'm not... particularly happy to contact him or anything, but I think he should know..."

"Yea, I think I understand," Mortal said, sneaking a bite of Euryale's pancakes.

Gabe shrugged, "I don't know. I suppose we should call and find out. Oh, but I need to ask Mortal and Euryale first." Gabe stood up and walked to the front door, "I'll go ask them now. I'll be right back." With that Gabe went out into the hall and knocked on Mortale's door.

*Naturally, they don't answer.*

"I asked you if you wanted some."

*Euryale passes the plate to her.*

*A Metalbender opens the cell of the Terrible Trio, & manacles fly inside to cuff all of them.*

<It's time.>

"I nodded," Mortal said, taking another bite, "Anyway, I'm fine now."

Gabe heads back to her place. "They weren't there," Gabe said, walking back in, "I wonder where they could have gone..."

Astarte sipped her tea.

"Okay," Hector said, and the three of them stood up.
