*Seconds after the announcement of the death, she hears Roatha shout, "Holy shit!" Also her phone ringing, on account of the fact that Tirea is calling her.*

*She continues to stare at it in disbelief, mouth agape.*

"I...I don't know what to say...thank you...."

"Good morning, Monu," Astarte said. "This is Astarte. How are you doing?"

"Is there a telephone I could use? I have a couple of calls I should make."

Mortal tends to agree with that assessment, and chooses to only respond with a simple, "Mm hm," in an attempt to kill talk of death in the morning and get back to cuddling.

Noct pats Ven on the back, and says, "Well, I'm going to go call Gabriel and Tirea and let them know I have the trophy. I think they would like to know." With that she heads down and goes off towards her phone.

Gabe can't help but giggle a bit at Roatha's reaction. When she hears the phone she spits out her toothpaste, gargles a bit, spits that out, and rushes to answer her phone, "Hello, this is Gabriel."

*Ven follows, still holding the trophy in both hands, because Noctis never took it back.*

{And the results are finally in: For Air Chair, Tenzin wins almost unanimously, big surprise there. For Northern Water Chair, Tarrlok wins by a large margin. For Earth Chair, Saxeus wins by a landslide...unfortunately, I have just received news that he has passed away, so the position will instead pass to the incumbent. For Fire Chair, Keter Aurora...loses by a landslide. For Southern Water Chair, Noctis Talea also wins by a very large margin. Finally, the position of Council Chairman goes to Councilman Tarrlok.}

"Uh... hello?" Gabe asked, "Tirea?"

Noct dialed Gabe's number. As she put the phone to her ear she looked at Ven, "You can put that down on the table if you want."

{Yeah. I guess we won last night.}

*Tirea yawns*

*Ven does just that as Noctis got a busy tone. Turns out people actually call Gabe.*

"As well as could be expected I suppose, quite tired," Astarte replied. "I'll come right to the point actually, do you still wish to work in the cafe?"

"Thank you," Dalia said, climbing out of the bed.

Fuck yeah, cuddles! Sweet dreams were had.

"Turns out Gabe is a popular woman," Noctis said with a chuckle. She seemed to hesitate for a split second, then said, "I guess I should contact Tirea as well." Noct then went about doing just that.

"Yeah," Gabe said with a smile, "Yeah, we did."

{Of course! Is it reopening?}

Tirea:{I'm glad. Do you wanna have a party or something?}

"Possibly," Astarte said after a moment. "However I need to know what kind of hours you would be able to work, and what kind of pay you can live with. Obviously it will be more difficult to run the cafe now and for a while there might not be much of an income for either of us... and I can't guarantee success. I just want to make it clear that I understand if you want to look elsewhere for employment, but if you still want to stay on I need to know how I can employ you."

Dalia went over to the phone.

{Of course I want to keep working at the cafe. I'd be able to work as much as you need to get the cafe up and running again. Would this be better to talk about in person?}

"Ideally yes, but I have a few other things to do after this, so we should probably sort it out now over the telephone," Astarte replied. "So about your working hours, you generally start around 11AM, I believe. How would you feel about coming in around 9AM instead and finishing work two hours earlier in the evening?"

Dalia first called her workplace.

"Uh, yeah, sure," Gabe said, "Just give me a second to make sure everyone can come along, or wants to... It has been a pretty eventful week, and some of our friends might not be in the mood for celebrating much of anything."

Noct frowns, hangs up, and stares at the phone, "They're talking to each other, I suppose..."

*Ven tilts her head.*

V"You assume that they would only be talking to each other?"

"I mean, who else are they--" Noct backtracked, "Well, it is just my guess. They were both busy at the same time, so I figured they would be talking to each other."

"This is Dalia Lao, a Firebending employee," Dalia said. "I'm calling because I have been hospitalized following the events at the Pro-Bending game, and I won't be able to work for about a week."

{Sounds like a plan. Should I come in today?}

"Thank you, I will bring a doctor's certificate when I return. Bye," Dalia ended the call and dialed the number of the Agni Kai she had arranged the meeting at the Arena with.

"I--" Noct stopped and looked at the phone, "One second-- Hello, this is Noctis Talea speaking."

"Great, I'll call you later and let you know what the plan is," Gabe said.
