Episode Three: Beneath the Deep

Lunamon:<Aw, that's so cute!>

*Eve uncovers her eye, blinking*

<Can you tell us what they all mean?>

E"This is stupid, I'm out of here."

*Euryale storms out, Guilmon following her. Roatha watches her go, then stands up himself.*

R"I think I'm going too. You come off as an asshole & a creep. Also, every time we ask something important, it's conveniently too complicated to answer. Plus if I stick around, I'm worried I'll get marked up more than a neo-nazi. Thanks for the food & the PDA thing."

*He takes his & Euryale's "PDA thing," & heads out. Of course, Dorumon follows him. Aroma just kind of makes a little "mm" noise, grabs hers, & scrambles out after them. Once again, Lalamon bobs along behind her.*

And so they're standing outside overlooking the town which is less snow covered now than it was when they first arrived.

The streets are fairly dark, most of the street lamps having not lit up and it just being late in general.

Wizardmon: "Those bearing Courage, Friendship, and Purity walked out in that order. You already seem to know which two are that of Hope and Light and I just said which was Love. You three bear Knowledge, Reliability, and Kindness."

He gestures to Eve, Cameron, and Kylie as he says their crests.

Azuma: "And the dealy Hitomi has on her gizmo?"

Taiyo wanders out, Renamon following behind her.

Wizardmon: "The Digimental. Artifacts from a time since passed that allow for a compatible Digimon to achieve a form that is often stronger than Champion, but not Ultimate. There also exists a..."

He freezes up again.

Azuma: "You all right?"

Wizardmon: "Yes."

*Roatha is leaning against the wall mashing buttons on his D-Terminal, the other under his arm.*

"...This tells me less than nothing, but with more words...."

*Kylie wanders over to the door and sticks her head out*

<I hope they don't go too far.>

Eve:<Is there some reason that keeps happening?>

Taiyo's D-Terminal vibrates, having just recieved a jumble of letters from Roatha.

Taiyo: "Guess you figured that out."

Wizardmon: "That what happens?"

Azuma: "Not going to get an answer about that, so uh...continue with what you were saying before. Or perhaps move on to making it happen."

Wizardmon: "It requires the command phrase Digimental Up. At that point, the Digimental is transfered to the Digivice and the partner Digimon takes on a new form assuming it's compatible. What is the mark on the Digimental you possess?"

Hitomi: "The same one Cameron bears."

Wizardmon: "Reliability. In its current form, your Digimon is not compatible."

Salamon: "I have to Digivolve so it'll work? That's dumb."

Wizardmon: "I did not create them. I only know how they function, not why. If that'll be all, you should all get some rest. Many of the town's residents have fled, leaving their homes open, so-"

Azuma: "So make ourselves at home in someone else's home."

Wizardmon: "To put it bluntly, yes."

Cameron:<So the crest doesn't necessarily match the Digimental?>

*Eve raises an eyebrow, but doesn't continue*

He does not seem to be aware...

*Kylie turns around and bows to Wizardmon*

*She and Lunamon then head out*

R"So how do we identify who the message comes from, anyway?"

Taiyo: "It looks like an email or text message. Your name is there saying you sent...letters."

Wizardmon: "That seems to be the case. Perhaps it means that the Crest on the Digimental is a secondary trait the user possess."

R"Interesting...hey, can I see yours real quick? Please?"

*He holds out his hand.*

Cameron:<I see.>

*He stands up and stretches*

<If we're done here, we may as well get some rest. Thank you for helping us.>

*Cameron and Biyomon exit the room. Eve stands as well but does not leave*

Taiyo: "I guess."

Taiyo hands it over.

Wizardmon looks at those who are still present like "What more do you want?"

Wizardmon: "Is there anything else you need?"

Eve:<What exactly is Mr. Zarek?>

*Elsewhere, Euryale opens her D-Terminal & wrinkles her nose.*

"What the fuck?"

Taiyo: Penis penis penis penis penis penis penis.

"Thanks! ...She raises a good point, here."

*He hands it back to her, turning back to the doorway.*

"Hey! Who wants to loan me their D-Terminal!"

Euryale: I know it's you, Roatha.
Euryale: Taiyo's gay.
Euryale: Why would she be telling me about dicks?

Taiyo blinks in confusion, staring at her D-Terminal. She then sends Euryale a message asking where she went.

Wizardmon: "He is a Digital Lifeform that was given human form. Other lifeforms besides Digimon exist in this world, but they are less common."

Eve:<I see. Who gave him human form?>

*Kylie looks at Roatha*

<Why do you need someone else's D-terminal?>

"...No reason."

Euryale: Not sure.

Euryale is at what could be the town square if the fountain with a stone Monzaemon at the top means anything. There's no light except for what the moon has to offer, not even from the surrounding houses.

Taiyo messages her saying she'll come find her, so Taiyo sets off following the signal on her Digivice.

Wizardmon: "His creator presumably. As for who or what that is, I am unsure."

Not likely to get any answers here.

Azuma stands up to walk out. Hitomi follows not long after.

*Kylie is still confused, and is about to offer him hers before Lunamon stops her*

<He don't trust him! He's up to no good.>

*Eve nods, and exits as well*

<Thank you for telling us what you know.>

*Euryale waits for her, like a good girl. Nearby, Guilmon & Dorumon start playing in the fountain.*

*He gets a good look at Lunamon for the first time & jumps back, holding his hands up in front of his face.*

"Gaugh! What are those things on your head?!"

The water is dreadfully cold. They'll probably get Digipnuemonia or something.

It is awhile before Taiyo arrives, Renamon is nowhere in sight, but she's watching from elsewhere.

Taiyo: "Kind of spooky out here."

Azuma: "Apparently we're spending the night in whatever house we choose to break into and make ourselves at home in."

Monzaemon enters the building, closing the door behind it.

*Lunamon looks up at Roatha*

<Your death.>

*She drags the still confused Kylie off towards Cameron. Eve leans against the door, unsure where to go*

"...Probably, if whatever they are is contagious."

*Euryale puts her arms behind her back & leans forward slightly.*

"I think it's peaceful. And in any case, I watched your signal approach. I would have known if something was wrong."

*Meanwhile, Guilmon is trying to warm up the water.*

Taiyo: "I guess it is pretty nice once you get used to it."

She stands a bit closer to Euryale.

Taiyo: "It seems like a fairly romantic spot."

Azuma: "Okay then, off to commit a Digital B&E."

And so the two go to the nearest house across the street. It looks like a stupid pink doll house.

Wizardmon: "I still don't see why you couldn't use the decsendants of the previous generation."

Zarek: "It wouldn't be a complete group as few of them had kids, soi the end we're still using new people and I'd rather not involve them in these matters again. They did their part over two decades ago. Let them be."

Monzaemon: "Why don't the Four Lords do anything?"

Zarek: "Vikemon and TyrantKabuterimon are occupied with MetalSeadramon and Puppetmon's forces. Gry-"

Monzaemon: "The Dark Masters are already making a move?"

Zarek: "I wouldn't call hassling those two making their move. Puppetmon is probably fooling around and MetalSeadramon isn't exactly the most cunning. If anything it's not happy about sharing the waters with someone who may be on even ground with itself."

Monzaemon: "And Gryphonmon and Ornismon?"

Zarek: "Gryphonmon says it's staying out of this for as long as possible. And Ornismon is just being difficult."

*Euryale looks at Taiyo out of the corner of her eye, a crooked smile playing on her lips.*

"...And you would know, wouldn't you, Ms. Love Crest? What were you going to say, back there? It was that you love me, wasn't it?"
