Noctis smiled a wide, and genuine smile, and hugged Astarte, "Someone's looking to get some cake."

"You have such a way with words," Mortal said, but Noct just ignored her.

Gabe reached out, a growing feeling of dread washing over her, and grabs the door knob. She stays that way for a few seconds, then pushes open the door. Sab let out a little squeak of fear when she did.

"Ahh, it's shadows!"

*She points into the room, where various dark forms criss-cross from the couch, the room divider, the curtains, etc.*

L"So, I guess we need to distribute this stuff, unless someone intends on strapping a pair of hunting knives to each of their limbs."

E"I didn't bring much, I was only expecting to buy a few things."

*She passes the money to Hector.*

*And Grimm is not on the road for very long before he hears police sirens approaching.*

Taiyo just kind of stands there with her first aid kit, mittens, and one of those chargable flashlights with the crank.

"That's alright," Hector accepted the money, going on to use his card to pay.

Astarte, not entirely understanding the implication, just returned the hug and smiled.

Grimm kept walking along.

Gabe tenses, but doesn't want to scare Sab and Aroma, so she takes a second to actually see what the shapes were caused by, wanting to make sure if they were mundane, or supernatural.

Assuming the elevator finally comes in, Mortal steps in, and Noctis follows, her mind dancing with happy thoughts.

*Eve and Cameron both pass their money to Hector*

L"Alright, now that everything's paid for, are we supposed to split some of this stuff up, or what?"

*Euryale & Lilith are hiding their new machetes in their backpacks.*

*One of the cars stops next to him, while the other keeps going. The officer rolls down his window.*

Taiyo only got enough things for her, although the first-aid kit could be used for anyone, but unless she shares her gloves she doesn't really have anything to split up.

Eve:<I have a bunch of stuff to pass out.>

Cameron:<Same here.>

*And so they do, Eve giving gloves to everyone who doesn't already have a pair, and a knife to everyone without one. Same goes for flashlights. Cameron passes out lighters and matches to everyone, and gives a compass to Eve and Lilith*

Astarte stood in the elevator with them, and assuming they were alone in it, spoke to Mortal, "So Mortal, you're doing okay? Nobody giving you trouble or following you or anything?"

"I don't know if we should open these boxes of flares and pass them around... yet," Hector said. "How about this, since we have two boxes, until we go on our trip I'll keep one, and Lilith keeps one?"

"I don't really know," Grimm said, wiping sweat from his brow. "I woke up way out on the road through the Black Forest and no idea how I got there. My cell phone is dead so I've had to walk this whole way back."

Gabe pats Aroma on the shoulder, "It is fine, just normal shadows here. Nothing to worry about." To prove her point she takes a step through the doorway.

"Just that one time at the gym," Mortal said, "I've been fine since." She smiled, "Thanks for the concern though. Unnecessary, but it is sweet of you to worry." She gave Noctis a thumbs up.

OOC: And as soon as this mess is sorted out, add all of this shit to your sign-ups, with changes made in glorious color.

L"Sounds good to me."

"That's good, then," Astarte said, looking at the elevator doors.

Hector passed over a box of flares to Lilith.

"I took some water from a service station," Grimm said, wiping his brow again. "I'm kind of delirious."

"Of course," Gabe said, taking a seat on one of their beds.

Sab walked in, still a bit spooked. Quickly she began to pack up, not wanting to stay there for long.

"Indeed," Mortal said, stepping into the lobby should the elevator open up there.

*Eve and Cameron wait for everyone to get done with their shit*

OOC: Because I have to specify that it opens.

"Thank you so much, Gabe."

*Aroma gathers up about a week's worth of clothes, the toothbrushes, combs, & other bathroom supplies, & waits by the bedroom door, looking around every few seconds.*

T"So, now what? We just go home?"

L"That's our only real choice right now, unless you think we can get in contact with one of these missing people."

Astarte followed out into the lobby, looking around for Sab, Aroma and Gabe, "They shouldn't be long, right?"

"We should probably just head home," Hector said.

"Oh, okay, that's probably a good idea," Grimm said, moving to the rear door. "I'll just hop in."

*Cameron nods*

<Could we stop at my apartment? I want to see if anything happened to Monu's stuff.>

OOC: Uh, yeah, kinda. For all I know a shadow monster might force them in there or some shit. I can't predict what the world is going to do.

Sab does the same, "Alright, I think I'm ready."

"Then lets go," Gabe said, "They're probably waiting on us now."

Noct shrugged, "How would I know?"

Mortal leaned against a wall, and began to wait.

OOC: You don't have to predict anything, you just have to assume that if I've gone 2 or 3 posts without saying that paranormal shit happened, then it probably didn't.

*They arrive in the lobby not long afterward.*

"Sorry about the wait."

L"Judging from what you've told me, it's probably all vanished. But that raises a good question, how do we make sure that no one will go after Tirea in all of this?"

T"I don't think that will. If they left her, that probably means that they didn't want to kill her."

L"Yeah, but you don't have to kill someone to make your threat known."

*That decision immediately turns south. Once he's in the car, the cops do a u-turn & keep driving past the gas station & their back-up, back towards the forest.*

Eve:<We found Stefan's cross though.>

Cameron:<I don't think we can be sure she'll be alright. We just have to hope...>

"Hello you three," Mortal said, pushing herself off the wall, and offering a wave.

"What were you doing?" Noct asked.

"Nothing, I was just helping them really quick," Gabe said.

"Did you wait long?" Sab asked.

Noct shook her head, "Not too long. Everyone ready?" A bunch of lesbians nod.

Taiyo: "I should probably stop by home too."

"Ready when you are."

"Actually, yeah, Stefan's cross was still around wasn't it?"

"What are you doing?!" Grimm demanded, already reaching for his pistol.

Driver<Orders from on up. You're not leaving that forest.>

*The officer in the passenger seat turns around.*

Passenger<You really think no one knew about the things that go bump in the night? Just accept your fate, Pal, & don't make waves. When someone tries to be a hero, a lot of innocent people wind up getting killed.>

L"Okay, maybe, but the hospital is still pretty far out of our way."

"I really want to thank you for letting us stay with you. I'm not sure what we'd do if we had to go through this alone."
