*As promised, the Mermaimon open a door shaped like a large oyster & take Taiyo inside. The "small" cell is a circular space bigger than her living room with a decor of blues & teals, featuring a 4 post bed, a dresser & mirror, a music box, one of those folding things you change clothes behind, what might be a mini fridge, a walk-in closet, & an attached bathroom with a bath that dominates most of the floor. They close the door behind them & drag her behind the changing thing, setting her on her feet. One unties the ropes around her ankles while another digs a blue toga sort of covering out of the dresser before proceeding to pull Taiyo's shirt up over her head.*

Azuma: "Maybe you shouldn't be doing the negotiating."

Under different circumstances, this would be like that dream she had when she was fourteen, but due to having been beaten by the Mermaimon and overall treated like crap, she's quite reluctant and not at all okay with being undressed by them.

*After a few moments, the gates slowly creak open & Antylamon heads inside. The first thing they notice is that most of the inhabitants in this region are Angemon & Angewomon, sporting various wounds, such as stitches on their sides, arms or legs in casts, & shredded or even missing wings. They look to Angewomon intently. The second thing they notice is a Pegasusmon swooping down from the highest tower & stopping to hover in front of them.*

Pegasusmon<Lord Jupitermon & Lady Junomon have been expecting you, & wish to see you immediately.>

*For some reason, the inhabitants of the square go back to looking downcast.*

*Well, she is nonetheless stripped completely & redressed, at which point the Mermaimon begin binding her arms in similar fabric, one of them rubbing it in some kind of wax so that it adheres to itself & won't come off easily. When the rest of her arms are bound, they untie her elbows & wrists & continue their work, forcing Taiyo's hands into fists before they wrap them up.*

Realizing that something's wrong, her teeth grit & her eyes widen before she becomes as stiff as DemiDevimon. Beelzemon glances at her briefly before turning to Dropbearmon.*

Beelzemon<Well THAT happened. You know those sleazy kinda tricks won't work on ME, right?>

Dropbearmon<Get stuffed, ya tosser!>

*Beelzemon whacks him against the tree, at which point Dropbearmon closes his eyes & grabs his head.*

*Assuming that SOMEBODY has Kylie, they fly up to the tower, where there is of course a window for them to go through, & of course inside are twin winged marble thrones, on which are seated Jupitermon & Junomon, of course. In fact, there are many such windows around the tower, so that light spills in & reflects all over the golden room, the only respite being the linear blue carpet & a few blue tapestries swaying in the windows.*

They of course travel up the tropical river to a pier where several different kinds of sailing ships are anchored, the oddest probably being an apparently half-sunken pirate ship. Various Betamon are loading & unloading cargo, & an Ebidramon scuttles down the pier, presenting his claw for Neptunemon to climb up on. Tsune climbs off Ikkakumon onto the pier. Regulumon tries jumping down, but breaks the wooden boards & falls into the ocean.*

Neptunemon<Fool.>

*Of course, some Betamon immediately fetch tools & rush forward, & Regulumon is eventually able to pull himself out of the sea & shake himself off.*

This doesn't make Taiyo feel any better, so she lays on the bed in some awkward pseudo-fetal position.

*Mermaimon promptly leaves the chamber & seals the door behind her. At this point, Taiyo will realize that the room is illuminated by light prismatically distributed from above, which leaves small rainbows playing along the walls.*

*Well, they start by wrenching out the broken boards, but the rest of the group is already heading along a path to the front of the shell palace (Ikkakumon having degenerated & followed Tsune), which features a tunnel set in the opening of a gold nautilus shell, the wall around it being a mosaic of blue shells of various types & sizes. High above, they can see a series of giant purple clam shells, which form balconies, & the palace is framed by at least 2 spiral shells that form towers, in this case red.*

Ts"Are there really creatures this big in the Digital World oceans?"

Neptunemon<Were the rumors of your defeat of MetalSeadramon & Leviamon greatly exaggerated?>

*So those 2 Digimon scramble up the stairs, bowing when they reach the top.*

*The Digimon salute, Armadillomon heading for the group & Hawkmon heading for the thrones, producing a scroll from within its feathers.*

Armadillomon<Excuse me, but the corridors can only handle Digimon up to mid-sized Champion level.>

*Hearing something rustle in the bushes, Beelzemon drops Phascomon & whirls around, using Darkness Claw to slap away a series of long knives before they can reach the humans. Phascomon starts to crawl away, but Beelzemon recaptures him in his tail.*

Beelzemon<Aw no ya don't!>

*A pair of Sangloupmon then emerge from his shadow, biting his arms & slashing into him with their blades.*

Beelzemon<Arrrrgh! You--you think that's enough to stop ME?!>

*Wings burst from his back & he throws the Sangloupmon into the bushes, snatching up the humans, stretching his other claw out to grab DemiDevimon, & launching up into the air, clearing branches with his Darkness Claw.*

Beelzemon<You take care of them! I'll back you up when your partners are safe!>

Azuma: "Are either of them knocking on your door?"
