Sins of the Father

*Senthose makes sure to stab Ingrid in the neck when she casts her latest flare. Using the explosion as cover, he rolls behind her & slashes at her back, blocking a strike from Luna with his other weapon.*

<Don't you see yet? It's all a lie! They want you to think they care so you'll willingly lay down your life for them! Help me kill them, before it's too late!>

Ingrid uses Curaga on herself, and tries to counter Senthose's argument, "He is insane. You can't trust him anymore. We only want what is best for you, and all of Spira!"

*Ark takes this chance to chase after Senthose and stab at his back before leaping backwards and casting Aeroga on him.*

*Senthose stabs him while he's flailing around in midair, then tosses him into Ingrid.*

<You don't know what either of those are! You-->

*He stops when Luna adjusts her angle & stabs him. She then rips the blade out of his side.*

<...I see. If you will not help prevent your own destruction, I know someone who will!>

*Bahamut descends from the sky & lands next to them, throwing Luna off-balance. He then casts Cura on Senthose.*

Ingrid gets up, and casts reflect on Senthose, then Meteor on him.

*Bahamut leaps over Senthose, taking the impacts of all of the meteors for him.*

"Bahamut, please, if you protect him, it means you're protecting Sin!"

*Bahamut starts walking over to her before Senthose detonates a Magma Blast, destroying it. Next, he calls Valefor down from the sky to hover behind him.*

Ingrid tries another Meteor, hoping this one will land on its target.

*Senthose takes the Meteor, in exchange for allowing Valefor to hang back & hit them all with a Sonic Wing. As everyone's status effects have worn off, Luna recasts Hastega as Senthose casts Big Guard & follows up with a Magma Blast on her & Ingrid.*

Hoping physics would somehow work Ingrid used Waterga on the magma blast, and dove out of the way of the attack. She then stood up with another Meteor on Senthose.

*Unfortunately, the spells do not work that way. Luna uses a Mega Potion before Valefor flies over & slashes her with its talons. Senthose fucking charges Ingrid's ass.*

Ingrid Phantasms him before he can get to her.

*Senthose charges through it & slashes at her as Valefor decides to turn on him & attack him.*

Ingrid ducks the slash (or sidesteps if a vertical slash) and stabs him with the pointy end of her stave while casting Flare on him.

*Senthose's body becomes enveloped in thick, gray armor of criss-crossed chitin, causing the spear to clank harmlessly off of him & the flames of the flare to leave black marks on it. The slash was diagonal, which he repeats from the other side. Once again under his control, Valefor pushes Luna out of the way with a Sonic Wing & flies around behind Ingrid.*

Ingrid dips to the side and uses an Aeroga to push Senthose away from her, she then turns on Valefore, dropping flaming space rocks on it.

Ark: <Valefor, don't listen to him!>

*Senthose is currently protected from magic AND melee attacks, so Ark just watches out for incoming attacks thinking of what to do.*

*Some of the rocks fall towards Ingrid after Valefor dissolves. After Senthose's armor dissolves, he doublecasts Cura on himself, the Reflect having finally worn off.*

Ingrid uses Quake on Senthose while running away from Meteors.

*Since I'm told it was aimed at his face, he slices it apart. A green orb forms between Ingrid & Luna & explodes into a thick cloud of gas, damaging them both & inflicting poison. Luna casts Regen on herself to counter this.*

Ingrid uses curaga on herself, then meteor on Senthose.

*Static.*

Senthose is at half health and 80% MP.

<Don't let that Scan message fool you into thinking you have a chance to win. I'm still far more powerful than you, I can outlast you easily. And there's still my Hypernova. One hit from that will certainly kill you all. I am not flailing around desperately against forces I don't have the power to destroy, like that fool Bevelle. Oh, but you had my help to defeat him, didn't you?>

*Senthose walks towards Luna, casting Dispel on her, & occasionally being pushed back slightly by a space rock crashing into him. As he walks, he makes sure to ignite a Magma Blast under Ingrid.*

"We don't need you!" Ingrid said, casting geomancy, which, since she was technically standing on magma, meant she launched a magma blast of her own at Senthose. She then cast curaga on herself.

<YES!>

*Senthose is hit by the blast.*

<YOU!>

*He fires off one of his own.*

<DO!>

*He fires off one more, killing Ingrid. His breakdown allows Luna to use a Phoenix Down on her, get behind him, & stab him in the back.*

"I have to summon, we need the defense!"

Ingrid got up, cast curaga on herself, then flared Senthose is his smug, pompous face.

*Luna touches the ground. A ring of fire sprouts up & then Ifrit emerges from the rock in front of her.*

<Haha! Nice try, but the explosion of Magma Blast is like that of Flare! Besides, you know what? You know what? HYPERNOVA!>

*Senthose blasts Ifrit with a beam of white energy, immediately destroying it.*

<Your weak, useless Aeons cannot help you now!>

*When the dust clears, Luna hefts an azure javelin over her shoulder & hurls it, striking Senthose in the chest. The resulting explosion is accompanied by another burst of static.*

Enemy Aeon is now at 25% health.
