In Zanarkand

Ark: <So we're following my hierarchy plan, except not really 'cause it'd kill us.>

"Which I find a bit odd," Ingrid said in response to Luna, "If there isn't Sin yet... why do people need summons?"

"I don't know, actually. We could use someone to sort of be our guide...where is Hitomi?"

*Hitomi has wandered off into an alley where she feels a firm hand grab hold of her shoulder, large with square knuckles.*

*From between her and the wouldbe rapist, a large ice spikes erupts from the ground looking to impale the wouldbe rapist.*

Ingrid sees Hitomi using magic and gets a bit worried, Oh great, just what we needed, the attention of an entire city on us because Hitomi needed to attack someone with ice. Ingrid rushes Hitomi's side, "What happened?"

*The man turns her around after the ice spike breaks in half on his abs. He stands about a head taller than Hitomi, with untidy, about shoulder-length black-brown hair, bronze skin, & a J-like symbol on his chest. He's wearing shorts made of some kind of synthetic material, plates of armor over his left arm, & an orange sash thing over his right leg.*

???<Let's not do that again. You lost, little lady?>

*He looks back when Ingrid & Luna show up.*

???<Who're these weirdos?>

"No."

*She squirms free and turns around with a look that says "You're going to be set on fire."*

*Ark lands next to Hitomi out of fucking nowhere, glaring at the dude.*

Ark: <Who are you?>

[He kind of looks bad ass though. Though not as strong as me.]

Ingrid looks at the whale of a man and raises her eyebrows, Hitomi would pick the one man in this place who looks like he was chiseled out mythril to pick a fight with...

???<You got spunk, girl. I like that.>

*Luna creeps up behind him.*

"Umm...do I have spunk?"

???<Sure. Why not?>

"Eee!"

*Hitomi's look changes to one of confusion.*

[Is that a good thing?]

*Ark facepalms, slowly drags his hand down and off his face, and widens his eyes.*

Ark: <Do I have spunk?>

Ingrid lets out a very audible sigh, "Forget the spunk, who the hell are you?"

???<Looks like all you girls have spunk, 'cept this one.>

*He points at Ark.*

???<You're kidding me! You've never heard of the Great Jecht? I thought my name was known from Zanarkand to the south tip of the Bevelle Islands. Well, damn, guess I'll have to go carve my face into a mountain.>

*Luna is still swooning.*

Odd, you already look like you were carved out of one... Ingrid thought. "So Jecht huh, why is it that you're so well known?" She asked, trying to get some info.

Jecht<I'm the star player of the Zanarkand Abes, inventor of the Sublimely Magnificent Jecht Shot Mark III, & Zanarkand smart-types cite me as proof that man can fly to outer space. Maybe you ladies would like to see me in action some time? Can't think of any other reason you'd come to Zanarkand. No one ever comes here. Or leaves here, for that matter.>

*Hitomi begins to back away to leave because fuck this guy.*

Ingrid raises an eyebrow, "Is there a mk. I, and II?" She asked. "Wait, so others have visited here before? Do you know of anyone ever leaving?"

"(Seeyoulater...'Tomi....)"

Jecht<I just said I didn't. You're a bit on the slow side, aren't ya? As for Marks I & II, I guess you'll just have to come to the games & see for yourself. I can probably persuade Johnny to spare a couple of tickets.>

Ingrid let out a sad sigh, "That sucks." Ingrid said, "As for the Blitzball, I don't think now is such a good time for fun and games, in fact, we should probably get going." She finished, looking at Luna, who seemed to be love struck with Jecht's... everything.

*Hitomi turns and leaves. During this stint of wandering she makes sure to avoid alleyways.*

Jecht<The game's not 'til tomorrow, eager. Hey! I never got your names.>

*Luna puts her hand over her mouth.*

"Oh, gosh, how could I have forgotten? I'm so sorry. My name is Lupa. Luna! It's Luna. With an 'n.' But you know how to spell, I'm sure, I don't mean to insult you...ohhhh...I'll shut up now."

*He looks back.*

Jecht<Your friend seems to have ditched you. I don't think she's very polite.>

[The clothing becomes more and more stange.]

*She backs away and goes around.*

Ingrid let out another sigh, they were still getting nowhere, "I'm Ingrid, that is Ark." She said quickly, "Luna, we should get going, you know, important business and all."
