In Zanarkand

*The Behemoth gores Hitomi with its horns. Luna, looking really angry, spins the lance around Hitomi & swipes the Behemoth across its face.*

"Huh. I guess I didn't forget how to use this thing."

*Hitomi casts Curaga on herself followed by casting Protect on Luna.*

*Ark Copycats Protect on himself and leaps forward, cross slashing at the monster's face.*

*Quite incensed over being slashed in the face twice, the Behemoth punches Ark.*

*Hitomi casts Firaga on the Behemoth.*

*Ark's hurled back. He slowly gets back, groaning, and runs for the Behemoth again, slashing at its chest while trying to steal anything it might be holding.*

*It gains a large burn on its right shoulder. Luna stabs it in the other shoulder before it spins around, smashing all of them with its tail. This kills Ark and leaves everyone else stooped over in critical condition.*

~Ark has obtained an Ether!~

*Hitomi casts Curaga on herself and Luna.*

Ingrid cast protect and reflect on herself. Then Phantasm on the behemoth.

*Luna uses a Phoenix Down on Ark as the Behemoth disintegrates into Pyreflies. They're approached from behind by some jackass in Besaid clothing (which is to say almost nothing) with a backpack.*

<So glad you got rid of that Fiend for me, it'll make my job so much easier.>

"And who are you?"

<I'm looking to set up shop here in Zanarkand, but my name is on a strictly need-to-know basis. But just so you don't think I'm too shifty, what if I give each of you something for 90% off, as a token of gratitude? Just this once, of course.>

"Give me a grenade at full price and Flare at the discount." Ingrid said handing over her Firaga sphere in exchange for the Flare. "Also, take this fira shpere." She said handing that over. "And let me get a pair of winged sandals, and an Aeroga sphere." Ingrid equipped her new armor and felt like she was floating in the air. "I could get used to these things."

*Hitomi approaches Ark and tugs on his sleeve.*

Ark: <I'll take Silence Steel on both of my weapons.>

*He looks at her over his shoulder.*

Ark: <What did I do now?>

"Do you have an extra Grenade?"

*Ark reaches into his waistbag and takes out a grenade that he hands Hitomi.*

Ark: <There.>

"Thank you."

*She turns to the shady merchant and hands the Grenadeo over as well as the Curaga sphere.*

"Holy, please."

*Ark steps away from the merchant and stares at Hitomi's hands as she hands over the items. He sighs.*

*Luna steps up. Looking over all of her items, as well as what's in the shop, she closes her eyes & hums. Then she abruptly opens them.*

"Okay. I think this is right. I'll take Geomancy, 4 Phoenix Downs, 4 Mega-Potions, Use, and a Deathly Alloys. Discount on Geomancy, please. I think I'll pass on Steal, or else I'll be broke again."

*She frowns. That frown then breaks into a wide grin.*

"Hey, I remembered something!"

"What?" Ingrid asked.

*Hitomi blinks twice in confusion.*

[What?]

"I'm always broke! I remembered that!"

<That's...nice...a shame...? Help a guy out, would ya?>

Ark: <You remembered you had been broke before... that's quite some progress.>

*He smiles awkwardly.*

"I'm constantly reminded of that myself every time I visit a shop." Ingrid said, shaking her coin purse and barely hearing anything inside.

*Hitomi stands about out of the way.*

*After procuring her items, Luna walks over to them.*

"So, you say Yunalesca might not want to see us? What do we do, if that happens?"
