In Zanarkand

*As the last head dissolves, the body cracks & shatters into points of light, Yunalesca falling out of it, now sporting a bunch of cuts, scrapes, and bruises. She lies on the ground, breathing heavily.*

<Leave this place. What do you expect to accomplish? Sin will be regenerated by tomorrow, and if you kill me, the Final Aeon will be no more. All of Spira's hope will be lost.>

Ark: <You wanted to kill us!>

[Dammit... I don't think we can finish her.]

Yunalesca<Are you that incapable of looking past your own needs?>

"I don't get it! We beat you down no less than 3 times! How are you still alive?"

Yunalesca<Technically, I'm not.>

"So if you're some kind of ghost, we just need to exorcise you?"

Yunalesca<I strongly suggest not taking that course of action.>

*She stands up.*

Yunalesca<Sin cannot be defeated by any means other than the Final Aeon. If you Send me, the only way to beat Sin is forever lost. And Sin cannot be killed permanently, because he will only take the Final Aeon and make his new body with it as a base.>

<Doesn't that mean that a world without Sin...doesn't exist?>

"I remember...he said that."

Yunalesca<Who said what? What are you trambling about, you silly girl?>

[I want to stab her so bad right now... but...]

Ark: <I believe there is a way to beat Sin without the Final Aeon! Even if the cycle continues, one day there will be a world without Sin. You witch.>

Yunalesca<Of course it's what you believe, it's what we've been encouraging people to believe, but that doesn't make it true.>

"So after everything that happened, Senthose helped with my journey & became my Final Aeon? ...And you sealed him. Well, let's see how YOU like it!"

*As she begins spinning her spear over her head, Yunalesca holds out a hand towards her, which dissolves into Pyreflies.*

Yunalesca<Stop it! Don't you understand? If you complete the Sending, Sin will be TRULY invincible!>

Ark: <Luna, I don't think I can let you do that! Sin will destroy everything without the Final Aeons to stop it!>

"You heard her, the Final Aeon can't defeat Sin, anyway."

*As she starts doing some spins of her own, Pyreflies come from the ground and the hallways, joining with her. Yunalesca's image becomes less & less substantial.*

<You'll doom all of Spira, & suffer the consequences for your sins!>

*Ark runs over to Luna and holds her spear to stop her.*

Ark: <Luna, don't. Think of thousands of people Sin kills... Until we find a better way, a few sacrifices for ten years of peace are better than mass slaughter every few days.>

*Hitomi sets Ark's legs on fire with Fira.*

"Yeah, I'm doing it."

*She wrenches her spear away from him, cutting his hand in the process. Then she stabs it in the ground with a sense of finality, & Yunalesca disappears as the room is bathed in a bright white light. Luna drops her spear.*

"What the--how did I get here? Weren't we under attack by Sin after we left Dream Zanarkand?"

"L... Luna?"

"Wait...now I remember...we killed Yunalesca after she told me Senthose is my Final Aeon...and I'd lost my memory for a while, there. But...how did I get it back?"

*Ark falls back on his butt, shaking his head and sighing.*

[Sin...]

*Hitomi stares at Luna, looking like she might break down and start crying.*

"L... Luna."

"H...Hitomi? What's wrong?"

"I don't know, but it doesn't matter. You're back."

"Yeah...I guess I am. It's good to see you, too. Now, gang, let's get out of this hole."

Ark: <Luna...>

*He seems somewhat unsure of whether to feel happy or sad, what with Luna coming back but also destroying the only way to defeat Sin and all. He follows her.*

*Hitomi wipes her eyes and follows Luna out. Rather than being at the back of the group she's a few steps away from being beside her.*

*Luna slows down a bit, so Hitomi can walk beside her.*

"I'm sorry I worried you."

*Soon afterwards, they exit the dome. Sin is gone &, with it, the monsters.*

*Ark widens his eyes upon seing Luna addressing Hitomi.*

["Gang"...]

"It's okay. Thank you for taking me to the book restorer."

"When did that happen? ...Kidding! Sorry! Anyway, you're welcome...you know, it'd be nice if we conveniently got an upgraded airship, or something."

*Ark follows quietly, staring at Hitomi and Luna's feet as they walk ahead of him.*

*Hitomi just smiles and continues to walk alongside Luna.*
