Not really, the Calm lands is where you got the Sun Sigil, as well as where the Monster Ranch was based out of.

The Caladbolg is damn near impossible to get and the Arena is optional.

Both of you seem to have forgotten that the Calm Lands are supposed to be where the final battle between Sin & Final Aeon takes place.

I'd say that's pretty damn important.

I always here that, but I got it on my third try. I guess I'm better than 80% of the people who play the game. Same thing with the Magus Sisters, and dodging the lightning bolts...

And I was going to say that, but I couldn't tell if that was Yunalesca's fight, or just A sin fight with whoever.

Not hard to get the Magus Sisters. They're just not really worth it.

It's also not really "hard" to dodge 200 lightning bolts, it just requires a level of repitition that I'm not willing to commit to. Especially, at some point, I'm bound to miss a dodge, or miscount.

The Chocobo Race, however, is impossible. I barely got any of the Celestial Weapons.

The only thing in FF that I can say was made out to be harder than it really was is Minerva, in Crisis Core.

The Chocobo Race was the best optional part! Oh, the hours I spent racing. Unlike the lightning thing, which I gave up on after the 15th. Monster Arena I'm pretty sure I completed, if only because I was bored waiting for FFXII. I wish I knew it was going to be shit.
