Arcane Tales

*Jade draws her blade and charges through the gate, trying to keep up with the others.*

*They arrive at the square Kentaro and Kari had been at earlier than day. The tower of flames disappeared. This monster is roaring at the center, about twice as tall as any of them, floating a few inches above the remains of the fountain he has destroyed. The wooden benches and trees nearby have been smashed, everything burning in feeble black flames, and there's a jumping rope on the ground nearby. The monster holds an arm out and fires a sphere of black fire at a house, making it explode. No one else's there*

Allina: <What is that thing, a monster!?>

"That thing's not from this world that's for sure" Alto points out.

"It probably came from the world we just did" Creed adds.

*James throws his blade high into the air and jumps up to the monster's waist.*

James: <Disappear!>

*James catches his blade in midair and starts lunging at the monster's waist.*

Kentaro:<I wish I was that motivated to run headlong at a monster.>

*The two draw their guns and take a few steps back, Kentaro looking each way and that for adequate cover.*

*The monster backhands James and fires a barrage of dark blazing spheres at the rest of the group*

Allina: <My magic can only protect us from physical attacks, we need a plan!>


OOC: Limit Breaks coming up, sign up for one if you haven't yet and want to.

Creed dodge rolls to the side and Alto gets slammed with the attack knocking him back a bit but it only serves to fire him up as he bum rushes the beast and swings at it's midsection.

*Kentaro grbs Kari's hand and runs off firing shots at the monster*

James: <A plan?! No! We need to fight! Fight until we die!>

*James' sword lights on fire*

James: <As I said before, disappear!

*James slashes forward, causing a wave of fire to shoot forward at the monster.*

*Creed makes a deep cut in the monster's belly, out of which small black sparkles flow. The shots harm it a bit too, and it roars loudly, knocking everyone in the surrounding area back. Jame's attack and Soul's fireballs don't hurt shit, cause it's a fire monster, though the ice spears do seem to be quite effective, despite melting as they stab into its body. The monster creates a flaming will and firs it spinning at James before quickly floating forward and slashing at Kari and Kentaro. Allina casts a blue spheric barrier on the two, intercepting its attack*

*Kentaro grabs Kari and whirls her around wrapping his arms around her using himself to shield her from the monsters attack. He grits his teeth as he braces for the hit.*

*James has an aggravated look on his face as he dodges out of the way, the fire grazing his pants slightly.*

James: <Fire doesn't seem to work... ha! Finally an interesting opponent!>

*James runs to the monster and starts climbing up its tail, slashing it as he ascends it.*

*Since I said the monster was only about twice as tall as them and the tail isn't all that thick, as you can see by looking at the image, trying to step onto it just pushed it away. The monster wrapped it around James and threw him at Creed before resuming slashing at the barrier. Soul's attacks knock him back and he growls, obviously getting worn out. The barrier wears off and the monster sends a large firewheel spinning at the group*

"Kentaro? Nothing happened."

*Kentaro looks over his shoulder.*

Kentaro:<Something is now!>

*He lets go of her except for a hand and runs firing. Kari fires, her shots going all over the place.*

Alto bares the attack but get knockjs back by the one that follows. Creed moves in now from the side with a slash.

James: <This monster isn't a pushover!>

*James' sword lights on fire as he braces the oncoming attack.*

*The wheel hits the fire barrier blasting flames all over. They both disappear in the process. Allina falls back, covering her face with her hands. The gunshots continue on digging small holes in the monster's body out of which black sparkles flow. It groans when slashed and punches Creed in the face*

Allina: <It's leaking those black sparkles everywhere, we can't be too far from finishing it!>

OOC: Post your inventory in the side topic, please.

OOC: KK

Alto intercepts his fist with his blade. "Looks like you goofed. Creed Go for it."

Creed ran forward and leapt on Alto's shoulders using them as a springboard to launch himself into the air with his blade facing downward. The weight of his heavy blade brought him to bear on Efreet's head.

*The two stop running and stand firing. Kentaro with his arms held out straight, hands tightly around the handle staring down the sights. Kari mimics his stance.*

*James' blade stops burning as he rushes forward with it in both of his hands.*

James: <If you won't go away, I'll make you!>

*James sticks his sword into the ground in front of him. He uses the hilt of the sword as a stepping stone to jump up to the monster's face. He prepares a strong punch in midair for a few seconds and rushes towards the monster's face with all of his power put into a punch.*
