Claus: <Well I think I'd be paying more attention to the fact that I'm in a completely different world than what a random chick who could help me looks like. The mind takes care of that.>

"There's enough of us for three groups of two, and there's three paths."

BlackGabumon:<How do we decide who goes with who?>

"Simple! Tae and Allina went up the big staircase, so they're the most familiar with that area, Euryale and I can go through that spooky door straight ahead, leaving Tsuney and the new guy to take the left door. Any objections?"

E"Umm. Yeah. It would be who goes with whom."

T"I don't want to be alone with the new guy. I don't know anything about him. What if he's a sex offender, or something?"

Tae: <What?>

Allina: <I don't care. Let's go and kick her ass.>

Tae: <...Okay.>

Patamon: <Last one there's a rotten DigiEgg.>

Hawkmon: <...Let's go, then!>

Claus: <You guys can choose who goes with who, 'cause I don't know any of you.>

"It's been decided. And if you do turn out to be a sex offender, I'm sure Tsuney can beat you up."

*BlackGabumon hands Taiyo her digivice who stuffs it in her pocket. Holding Euryale's hand she begins to walk towards the door. BlackGabumon following beside her.*

*Tae and Allina proceed down the path at the top of the big staircase*

*Claus and Guilmon walk down the left path, still confused as hell.*

*Euryale follows Taiyo. Tsune follows behind them.*

E"What the--?"

T"I'm not going with some guy I don't even know!"

"It'll be just like IceDevimon's Castle! Can I bite your neck, Tsune?"

*Taiyo pushes open the door a cold gust of wind blowing some dust out. Inside is a long hallway that looks something like a mineshaft illuminated by torches mounted to the wall.*

*The end of the hallway splits into two paths, each with several doors on each side. In front of them on the wall is a large portrait of LadyDevimon lying on a bed of white rose petals.*

*Two Claus's left is a series of plain panned windows overlooking to courtyard and to his right is a gray, stone brick wall, a large heavy-looking wooden door a few feet away. The hallway resembles a cellar more than anything.*

T"The way you put it, I'm thinking splitting up was totally pointless, & we're all just going to run into Lady Devimon at relatively the same time. Also, no, you may not."

*A light surrounds Impmon again, this time much bigger than before. When the light fades, a black, devilish figure with tattered wings and various accessories on its body emerges. The figure grins evilly and rushes towards the Guardromon as Nate hides behind one of the craters watching.*

Allina: <So what, we're splitting up again?>

Tae: <I guess so. Which way do you wanna go?>

Allina: <Meh, Imma take the left one. See ya soon. C'mon, Hamtaro!>

*She runs down the left path and enters the last door to her right*

Hawkmon: <Who is-->

Tae: <It's Allina. Do you really wanna know?>

*They go down the right one and enter the last door to their left*

Guilmon: <Let's open the door!>

Claus: <Sure, why not?>

*He kicks on the wooden door.*

*Guardromon stops moving and fires laser beams from its eyes at Devimon.*

"What I meant was it's the three of us looking around a cold, dark, castle."

*Taiyo shivers and clings to Euryale's arm. As they go on the path begins to darken as some of the torches have either gone out or they're dying.*

*At the end of both of their paths is a turn. Both rooms look the same, like a bedroom that may have been nice at one point in time. The bed has a wrought iron frame with a row of posts at the head and foot of the bed. Above it is a canopy of cobwebs and at the foot of the bed is a tattered bench. Across from the bed is a vanity also made of wrought iron, the mirror is cracked. Straight ahead from the door is a window overlooking the courtyard.*

*The door barely budges and kicking it hurts quit a bit. His kicks knock some splinters on the floor. Opening it eventually, the inside looks like a stoarge room with wooden shelves and barrels on racks. The room's windowless and as a result has that damp smell to it which mixed with all the dust isn't very pleasant. Ahead is another door that looks a tad nicer than the one he entered.*

*Euryale & Tsune take torches from the wall, thrusting them towards Black Agumon, who Pepper Destroyers them both.*

*Allina and Patamon look out the window*

*Tae and Hawkmon quickly search the room for any signs of Hitomi*

*Despite the torches, it's still noticably cold. A path comes up to the left and the path they're on continues straight ahead. Taiyo looks at her digivice which shows three strong signals and one faint signal that gradually gets stronger as they go.*

*Allina and Patamon see the castle courtyard and that the "snow" is really coming down. What hits the window slides down leaving behind a black streak.*

*Aside from them, the room is empty.*

Allina: <Gross!>

Patamon: <Well, they aren't here!>

Allina: <Off we go!>

*They walk out and into another room*

*Taegan and Hawkmon do the same*

"Do we got left or keep going forward?"

*Their rooms are the same as the ones they were in before. Also empty. Every room in their respective hallways is a bedroom with the same furniture arrangement, the only difference is the amount of dust and wether or not the vanity mirror is cracked.*

*Euryale & Tsune shrug.*

B<Hey, with all of the dust around, shouldn't we just be able to find Lady Devimon's footprints? They should be pretty conspicuous, considering most of her minions seem to be considerably less...dainty.>

*Patamon armor digivolves and flies out the window as Pegasusmon, headed towards a higher window*

*Aquilamon flies out the window carrying Tae and searches for a higher window*

"There were footprints that looked like they belonged to someone wearing heels in the hallway. Allina, Taegan, and that new guy are searching up there and we can't just leave whoever's down here."

*They can see into the windows of [s]the highest room of the tallest tower[/s] throne room. There are multiple windows each with a wrought iron grate over them. Inside they can see the throne room is empty except for someone shackled by their wrists to the wall behind the throne on one side and on the other side of the throne is something inside a cage.*

???:<How dare you disrupt my beauty sleep! Darkness Wave!>

*From a balcony below Allina, LadyDevimon unleashes a wave of bats that fly up and swarm her and Pegasusmon.*

*Aquilamon blasts the bars*

Tae: <Who's that?>

*When attacked, Pegasusmon falls down but manages to land on the balcony, running inside to distance themselves from LadyDevimon. Tae looks down, but fails to stop him*

Tae: <LadyDevimon!>

E"But I don't want to miss the action!"

T"If we're going to search, we should search quickly. What's Black Gabumon's fastest form? For that matter, what's yours?"

*She looks at Betamon.*

B<Mmm...depending on how much room there is, I'd say either MegaSeadramon or Quetzalmon.>
