| Setting The year is 0168 N.F. (New Frontier) and in the deepest reaches of space, a completely different era of technology has reached new heights. Space travel and exploration have become the new field of science. The races of the galaxy live mostly in harmony. Each species have their own homeworlds and species-specific colonies. Some colonies have been established with the sole purpose of inter-species housing to promote unity across the galaxy. Recently, one of these colonies, Rexil, has gone dark. Every rescue team from the colonists’ homeworlds that went to investigate Rexil have also gone dark. The planet has been labeled Hazardous and no ships are allowed access, except one. The Unified Galactic Alliance (U.G.A.) has sent the U.G.A.F. Zermic to carry-out a full military investigation of the planet and determine the cause of the blackout. The mission was voluntary, and many spots remained open that the U.G.A. was forced to hire out to mercenaries to give the Zermic a full crew. As the species of the world cooperate to determine the cause of this mysterious scenario, they will uncover a darkness they could never have been prepared for. Pandora’s box is about to be opened. | Player List Azena Ryder Farressien - Turian Sentinel- Spoiler:
Character Name: Ryder Farressien Race: Turian Age: 26 Gender: Male Appearance: Credit to GarrusArtemis on DA Class: Sentinel Weapon Loadout: M-92 Mantis M-15 Vindicator Personality: A true Turian, Ryder is loyal and sturdy in his duties. If he is ordered to do something by his superior, he does so without question. He takes pride in his marksmanship and tracking skills. His father is an admiral in the Turian fleet and he works hard to make him proud as well. Like most Turians, no matter how much fear overtakes him, he won't let it show, a trait that will be valued on this mission. Background: Ryder is one of the best operatives the Turian Fleet has to offer for this mission. He was raised by a prestigous admiral in the fleet and spent most of his time aboard a cruiser. It was aboard the UGAF Derallis that he received most of his training at a young age. He was discovered to have had a talent for biotics and now uses and Amp to use what little he knows and that his body can handle. Where he really shines is with an Omni-Tool. Engineers on the Derallis taught Ryder how to use his Omni-Tool for combat situations and even espionage. He excelled at the practice and now his Omni-Tool is his best friend when out on the field. Now halfway through his prime, Ryder has made a name as one of the best hunters. His marksmanship and tracking skills makes him invaluable in finding lost targets and high-profile enemies. On an operation on the pirate planet of Yregil he single-handly hunted down the Batarian crime lord, Ceris Larnik. While it made his name recognizable among the Turian Fleet, his has not secured his reputation like his father has. Most just attribute the feat to luck. Whatever the case, it was enough to get him placed on a 'very important detail'. Ryder easily thought it was a joke. He was reassigned to babysit a human Biotic with a mental degradation while she served on the UGAF Zermic. Now he will utilize his abilities to find the missing colonists on Rexil. If he is successful, and they uncover something big, his reputation will be locked for the rest of his life as a hero. Something his father will be proud of. He must not fail. He only hopes this Jade Montierro won't slow him down. Jade Montierro - Human Adept- Spoiler:
Character Name: Jade Montierro Race: Human Age: 23 Gender: Female Appearance: Class: Adept Weapon Loadout: Father’s Venom RevolverPersonality: Quiet and reserved, Jade prefers to keep to herself. Suffering from severe depression from her past, she is often classified as unstable. Due to her private nature, it takes her a long time to feel comfortable enough to open up, giving her a mysterious and concerned demeanor to others. When she finally does put trust in her surroundings she can put on a smile and be the old sweet girl she used to be. Her trauma has kept her a child-like state of mind that often leaves her at the brunt of jokes. However, she is not helpless and can easily take care of herself, she can just be naïve and seemingly oblivious to certain subjects and situations. Background: Jade was born to an Earth Fleet Marine and his wife, an engineer serving on the same ship. Early on she showed signs of Biotic abilities by causing objects around her to float. The Montierros had tried many times for a child and always miscarried or the baby died during the birth. Jade was too precious to give up to Jump Zero, as would have been mandated, and so they kept her away from the rest of the ship as often as possible. They claimed she was suffering from a strange disorder that caused her to fear contact from anything outside of her ‘natural’ environment, including people. They even had a close friend in the medical staff ‘confirm’ the diagnosis. Jade grew up the next few years deprived of friends and events. Her mother homeschooled her and her father did the best he could to provide her with what little entertainment he had on the ship, usually just vid feeds of cartoons. The secret world she knew soon went into a supernova. Earth Fleet officials began sniffing around on the reports and put pressure on the medical officer. After a heated argument in which he threatened to reveal Jade’s gifts, the Montierros killed the medical officer. The resulting investigation led right to their door. As Earth Fleet officials tried to take Jade, her father physically fought back to stop them. A well-trained marine, he managed to take kill three of the officials before the rest were finally forced to gun him down. As best as her mother tried to shield Jade’s eyes, she saw the whole thing. The next moment she was hauled away to Jump Zero, the Human Biotics school. She actually managed to live a fairly normal life there. She made many friends and excelled in her classes as one of the top students. Then, at the age of 9, the news came of her mother’s illness. A few days later and Jade was alone in the galaxy. She quickly fell into depression and cut herself off from everything. She lost her friends and cared little for it. She still continued to be one of the best students, but mostly because it was the only way to take out her anger. Over the years, Jade appeared to stop maturing and kept the mindset she had when her mother passed, and even occasionally regressed to the age that her father died. This caused the kids to torture and bully her, only feeding her impressive displays of Biotics in class over the next decade. When the rest of her class was ready to graduate, Jade was taken into a room and explained her situation. She was truly gifted and would be stationed with a special unit where she could be of use while under personal supervision. She was now officially a weapon and nothing more. Recently, the colony of Rexil has dropped communication as well as any vessel that finds itself in the vicinity. Fearing severely foul play, the Alliance has mobilized and sent the UGAF Zermic to investigate. Jade and her personal supervisor, Ryder Farressien, have been assigned to the mission. She can’t shake the dreaded feeling that she will see more death than she is prepared for. Linox Benziti - Salarian Infiltrator- Spoiler:
Character Name: Linox (pronounced “Lie-necks”) Benziti Race: Salarian Age: 32 Gender: Male Appearance: Credit to Weissidian on DA. Class: Infiltrator Weapon Loadout: M-25 Hornet and Stingray Heavy PistolPersonality: Linox is a fast-thinker and talker like most of his species. Highly intelligent, tactical mind for battle, he puts the mission above all else. Though, it should be noted he is not ruthless, he always does his best to minimize casualties and provide the best results possible, but he is not afraid to accept the alternative as his only option. He is very light-hearted and loves to enjoy time with his friends, even if his mind is usually on his next big breakthrough. Brief Background: Linox is the perfect example of a Salarian. Even for his species, he his considered highly intelligent and one of the best scientists in the galaxy. His studies have led to the discovery of countless new species on far world planets and he has personally made advancements in technological fields such as weaponry and medicine. Even with a very short lifespan, Linox has set out to make a name for him self and accomplish as much as he can. At the age of 24 he was offered a position in the Salarian Tasks Force as a Field Specialist. A role that he shined in. His scientific expertise was invaluable on many operations and he learned to handle weaponry and combat very well. He specialized in stealth tactics, able to evaluate enemy formations, structural weak points, technological advantages, and even utilizations of flora and fauna, that could give his teams the opportunity for a successful mission. This gave him an impressive reputation across the Alliance Fleet. Naturally, when the UGAF Zermic put in a request for some field scientists to join them on their investigation of Rexil, Linox’s name was noted. Intrigued by the strange occurrences at Rexil, he left his research in the Attican Traverse and headed out to meet the Zermic en route to Rexil. Syn Moria -- Drell "Ghost"- Spoiler:
Character Name: Syn Moria Race: Drell Age: 18 Gender: Female Appearance: Credit to Windmill-Paper on DA Class: Ghost -- (Vanguard/Infiltrator) Weapon Loadout: Aegar Sniper Rifle and Pair of Black Sun PistolsPersonality: There are two sides to every coin. In Syn's case, she has a serious hunter side and a young girly side. Normally a cheerful young Drell that enjoys life and all its beauty, singing songs, and everything cute. However, when she is thrown into life and death situations, she becomes a deadly and calculating hunter that will take a life as quickly as she will breathe. A side-effect of her upbringing. Brief Background: Syn was born on a small colony world in the Horsehead Nebula. When she was 5, slavers came looking to collect. Her colony wouldn't go quitely and a devastating battle took place. The slavers ended up retreating, but not before killing her parents, everyone she knew, and nearly the entire colony. A Council Agent was sent to investigate the incident and track down the slavers. Syn first met the Agent, an old yet strong Drell, when she discovered one of the slavers had been left behind. Out of pure hatred for the monster, she attacked him and, with biotic charged punches, nearly killed him. The Agent found her in time and stopped the attack. He seemed content with her actions, but warned Syn to go home, not knowing she didn't have one. Instead, she hid and overheard the interrogation. When the Agent determined his next heading, she snuck on board his ship. He discovered her later when he docked and the slavers launched an assault on the ship. While not as strong as most of the slavers, she did provide an excellent distraction for the Agent and managed to knock a few out herself. In the end, the Agent was impressed by her tenacity and took her under his wing, despite disapproval from the Council. After years of rigourous training, she has been accepted into the Council Agents and given her first assignment. Dawning her new field outfit, a gift from her mentor, she has left for Rexil, a colonial planet that has ceased communications. That was three weeks ago.
Script-Z Noct T'Silsi - Asari Vangaurd- Spoiler:
Character Name: Noct T'Silsi Race: Asari Matron Age: 560 Gender: N/A Appearance: NoctClass: Asari Commando (Vanguard) Weapon Loadout: M-22 Eviscerator Shotgun and M-76 Revenant Assault Rifle. Personality: Noct has a calm and cool temperament, and a quick wit. Hard to anger, or move in any direction, Noct keeps her fears, sadness, and anger bottled up. Unlike most Asari Noct does not bear any facial markings. This is not due to her being pure blood and is instead a physical abnormality to which she is very defensive of to the point of threats and fighting, which is usually the only time she loses her cool. She will even sometimes point out her lips, which are a soft pink rather than blue or purple, as a sign of facial markings though it is usually ignored and attributed to make up. She has an almost crippling phobia of losing people close to her and will fight tooth and nail to see make sure that she never has to see another person die. Brief Background: Noct was born on Thessia, the Asari homeworld, to a young Asari Commando and a Salarian STF operative. With such parents it would have been easy to assume she would follow in their footsteps, this was not the case however. Her "mother" and father both retired and settled on Thessia to raise Noct as a thinker rather than fighter. Her parents were not the most intelligent, or respected of their kind, but gave Noct what they could, the gift of self defense, though not in the usual way. Noct's mother, Hassina, taught Noct how to control her biotics through teachings of philosophy and religion. Her father taught her how to fight not with her hands but her mind, how to outsmart her opponent, and choose "the darkest corner with the best view." Noct grew up in this environment until she was 73. At that point she felt it was time to leave, heading for the head of Galactic politics, Serrice. Once there she tried to get into politics, and it worked for a while. Unlike the rest of her Asari partners who were content to see things through decades, Noct was more interested in dealings that bore fruit quickly. Still, even with her success she just couldn't stand being in one spot so she tried doing what most Asari her age due, become a Commando. This worked out a lot better than she could have ever imagined. Despite having no practical training she excelled faster than even Maidens who had been training since birth. Her teachers attributed it to her upbringing. Since her parents taught her the philosophical side of Martial Arts it was easy for her to learn the physical practices. Like building a giant bowl with which to pour water in rather than making a bowl while water is being poured over your hands. After 140 years of training and life as a huntress she gave it up. Not because it was hard or she found no comfort in it, but because too many of her friends were dying off. From that point on she drifted from place to place doing odd jobs as a gun for hire. During one of her more thought provoking missions she considered starting a private military company. This was around the time of the First Contact War and the discovery of the Human species. Finally, after giving it some though, she decided to go through with it and and started up Aether with the large amount of money she had saved up over her long life time. She purchased a crap ton of small arms and contacted all her old contract holders looking for work. It was grueling in the beginning with people coming and going but soon the pack hit their stride and work was plentiful. Now, with decades as an established paramilitary firm, it was only natural to be contacted by the UGA for their investigation into Rexil. Soon a contract had been written up for quite a few of Aether's best, and brightest for a sizable government contract. Noct herself even signed on to the crew. Dura Steehl - Human Adept- Spoiler:
Character Name: Dura Steehl Race: Human Age: 26 Gender: Female Appearance: Dura (Only with the shirt buttoned up, and without the "I want to have sex with you" look) Class: Adept Weapon Loadout: M-5 Phalanx Heavy Pistol, M-96 Mattock Assault Rifle, and a knife. Personality: Dura is cocky and confident in her abilities as a soldier and biotic, and slightly flirtatious when outside of combat. She is always out for a good time and is very sociable and charismatic. While she may be slightly jaded and rough around the edges she has a kind heart and always works towards a goal that is beneficial for all those involved, save those on the receiving end of her gun. Brief Background: Dura was exposed to an eezo spill in the womb of her mother, and beat the odds, gaining latent biotic potential instead of a terminal brain tumor. Born into a poor family in the slums of the New York Super City, Dura lived a life of poverty, until she was shipped off to the Alliance Military at the age of 6, after some "encouragement" from a bunch of guys in black suits with a big check book. There she was fitted with the Biotic L3 implant, though considered weaker than L2 it is a safer product. She trained there with others like her until she was 18. She went back to her hometown in search of her parents after her training, though she couldn't find them. While there she fell in with the wrong crowd and wound up joining with a local street gang. Since she was a powerful biotic it didn't take long for her to climb the ladder in the gang. Her time there gave her a dark outlook on life, and put her into a state of depression, worsened by her biotic implant. During what should have been a simple drug run, Dura's group was gunned down by a rival sect with the same gang. Dura barely avoided death and used the full strength of her biotics to destroy her aggressors and half a block radius around her. She went into hiding afterwards, she was 20 at the time, and she would have stayed in hiding if not for a knock on the door. Somehow word of her explosive power got to the ears of a few big wigs at the Alliance and they were so impressed they offered to expunged her record so long as she enlist. Dura did and began training as a Force Recon Operative, specializing in Black, Direct Action, missions. It wasn't N class, but a parallel to it. She still wore a 7 however, showing she was given the best training. She had a meteoric rise through the ranks using her biotics, street smarts and Alliance training to pull her through most situations. However after a failed mission, an ambush she didn't see coming, she was honorably discharged, one failed mission was enough to bring her past to light she guessed. With a new outlook on life, one not so cynical and bleak, Dura decided to move to Serrice, it was a melting pot of different cultures and races, and Dura wanted a new experience. That new experience wound up being life as a merc. It was in this line of work that she met an Asari by the name of Noct T'Silsi. They quickly became contacts and eventually Dura found herself as a member of Aether, doing light recon work during missions, and often found herself groundside during firefights. Dura was loyal to Noct and looked up to her as a Captain. When talk of the Rexil contract was floating around she was among the first to be cherry picked for the assignment. Iliad Bell - Human "Operative"- Spoiler:
Character Name: Iliad Bell Race: Human Age: 24 Gender: Female Appearance: IliadClass: Operative. Weapon Loadout: M-12 Locust Submachine Gun.Personality: Boisterous, obnoxious, loud, and blessed with a sick sense of humor, Iliad is a pleasure to be around if you have patients, and a destroyer of worlds if you don't. She is very cocky and more than willing to show you why. Iliad is also a bit childish at times, though it is hard to tell if she really means it, or if she is just acting a certain way to annoy people. Brief Background: Iliad's life is a bit troubled. An orphan who found her way to the slums of a populous, multi-species planet, Iliad grew up as little more than a street urchin. Her extensive knowledge of the area, and how to get around landed her a job with a local gang as a glorified carrier pigeon. At first she ran notes, then guns, and pretty soon she was running kilos of drugs from one area to another, avoid detection from authorities the entire time. Iliad lived this life until she was too big to look like an inconspicuous child anymore. It was at this point that she graduated to full blown drug runner. She was given a ship and was tasked with getting from Thessia to Earth, or Palaven, or wherever drugs were in demand. Iliad soon built up quite a name for herself as an extraordinary pilot and drug runner, never once getting caught, or missing a date. She soon went freelance, running whatever her ship could carry from wherever to anywhere, so long as the pay was good. Her name started to come up on quite a few no fly lists, but it was nothing a quick name change and fancy alias wouldn't correct. Soon Iliad had a reputation for being untouchable by authorities, as well as being able to make a ship dance. Sadly, it that reputation wasn't all it was cracked up to be and Iliad got caught in a galaxy wide drug bust. It didn't really bother her, she was only a runner. They could charge her all they wanted, but they knew, like she did, that she would be much more useful as an informant, so that is what she did. It didn't bother her turning over all of her former contacts but it did mean the end of her career, at least for the time being. Iliad woke up one day ready to take up a snazzy offer from the UGA to disappear into witness protection, but instead found herself meeting with Noct T'Silsi. The Asari offered her protection, as well as a chance to do what she loved to do. Iliad warned Noct that she just spent months as an informant, but the Asari said she felt quite strongly that taking Iliad in would be a good choice. Iliad agreed, thrilled with the idea of piloting a ship again. In the year and a half she spent with the crew she found herself having a change of heart. She wasn't only out for herself now, but part of a whole, and she had Noct to thank for that. During the Rexil negotiations Iliad practically volunteered herself to be signed up. Mortal Dulces - Human Soldier- Spoiler:
Character Name: Mortal Dulces Race: Human Age: 28 Gender: Female Appearance: MortalClass: Soldier Weapon Loadout: M-99 Saber Assault Rifle, and M-25 Hornet Submachine Gun. Personality: A bit headstrong, and aggressive, Mortal is a person with fleeting interests, but steadfast loyalties. Hard to truly anger, but easy to provoke, Mortal will fight a battle even if she is only mildly moved by the conflict that started it. Enjoys the visceral thrill that can only be found in conflict, but doesn't actively seek out to start any of her own. Instead, she savors what comes to her naturally. Brief Background: Mortal was born aboard a UGAF Cruiser, the UGAF Wyvern, to two officers who got a bit too drunk for their own good on a rare shore leave. She was shipped back to Earth with her mother soon after birth and was raised as a typical military brat, never staying in one place long enough to plant roots. Growing up wasn't harsh, but it was strict, and by the book. She naturally learned to adapt to new surroundings, and people, and forewent attachments to things she knew she may one day be without. This quickly built in her a deep sense of belonging to the one thing that was constant in her upbringing, the military. Growing up it was uncommon for Mortal to be with both her parents at once. If one had just returned, the other was usually on their next call. While love fostered between the family, it was apparent to all involved that the Navy came first, and from an early age Mortal knew exactly where she was going. This led to a life of military grooming where it was more common for Mortal to be studying military doctrine, than reading a gossip magazine, as girls her age were wont to do. At first dawn on her 18th birthday Mortal found herself being shipped off to Basic Training. Mortal's first Naval assignment was as a Private 2nd Class to the very ship she was born on, the UGAF Wyvern. So it was that there she stayed until she had worked her way to XO of the ship, outranking her parents, who had served beneath her now. She had logged a meager 4 months as the ship's Executive Officer before everything went to shit, as it so often does. The UGAF Wyvern had been on patrol of near a small colony known to house space pirates. During this patrol a distress signal was received from a ship not far off course from the Wyvern's location. The Commanding Officer deferred to Mortal's judgement, and sent a small recon team to investigate. It turned out to be an ambush, and the soldiers sent soon found themselves out manned, and overpowered. After a few tense moments of radio silence the recon ship began to return, signaling to the CIC that all was well. As the ship docked however, a bomb was detonated, and the ship that initially sent out the distress signal began to fire upon the Wyvern. In the ensuing chaos the crew of the Wyvern was forced to abandon ship as a lucky shot had taken out the ships engine, gutting the beast entirely. Though many escape pods were shot out into space many were shot down. Mortal was one of the lucky ones, but most of the crew was taken out, including her parents. Mortal blamed herself for the disaster, and, as the Captain of the ship had died with it, so did the military. Having the entire debacle hung around her neck, Mortal was no longer able to find herself much of a foothold in the military. Nearly a decade of service had been flushed due to the tragedy, but Mortal didn't know any life besides an Enlisted one. That was when she caught wind of Rexil. If she could be a part of the mission, and see it through to success, it might help people forget her folly, and get her in good graces again. Immediately she signed up. Zell Talea - Human Engineer- Spoiler:
Character Name: Zell Talea Race: Human Age: 25 Gender: Female Appearance: ZellClass: Engineer. Weapon Loadout: M-12 Locust Submachine Gun.Personality: Zell is cocksure, sarcastic, and no stranger to waking up next to a one night stand who's name she can't remember. Always out for a good time, even if she can't remember it in the morning, Zell has gained somewhat of a reputation for being a rolling stone among her friends in Aether, the mercenary group of which she is a part. Through it all Zell is a warm person to be around and a loyal friend. Brief Background: Zell, oddly enough, was born on Thessia, the Asari homeworld. She didn't grow up there however, and instead, found herself among the stars, quite literally, since before she could walk. Zell's mother, also Zell, and either not creative enough to think of a better name for her child, or so full of herself that she didn't think there was one, was a negotiator who worked for Aether. Business savvy and quite sociable, Zell's mother was a key negotiator in the more white collar contractor dealings. From a purely business standpoint, no one was more important than her except Noct herself. When little Zell was born it was as if a new family member had come crashing into Aether. Almost everyone felt at least a bit responsible for the girl, and as such, she was spoiled by the more light hearted members of the crew, and, at the very least, looked out for by the gruffest. Early on Zell showed an aptitude for electronics, and was a tinkerer by nature. As such she spent a lot of time pestering anyone she found that had knowledge in electronics, picking their brains, and learning what she could. As she grew older it became apparent that the mouthy, sometimes ill mannered Zell would not become her mother's replacement, but she did have a future as an Engineer aboard Aether's ship, and as a tech specialist for field missions. She excelled at both aspects, and soon found her niche within the band. As an adult quite literally raised by the company that employs her, Zell is afforded a few privileges others are not. She enjoys something of a Aunt/ Niece relationship with Noct due to her mother's close friendship with her, not to mention her upbringing. When her mother had informed her about the Rexil contract, she was less than optimistic about going, but decided to after realizing that Noct had personally asked for her to come. Sab Rosa -- Ovisian Infiltrator- Spoiler:
Character Name: Sab Rosa Race: Ovisian Age: 22 Gender: Female Appearance: SabClass: Infiltrator Weapon Loadout: M-13 Raptor Sniper Rifle and M-5 Phalanx PistolPersonality: Generally a pleasant person, quiet, but will speak her piece when needed. Sab is also generally non-violent and prefers to avoid direct conflict when not on duty. When doing field work, Sab prefers to play a supportive role, using her sniper scope to scout out areas, rather than pick off soldiers, and providing cover fire while someone else does the actual fighting. Brief Background: Sab was born on Linnaeus, the Ovisian homeworld, and lived a relatively peaceful existence. She was raised modestly, neither her mother or father being anyone of great importance. At an early age her parents could tell she wouldn't be a rising star. Her grades in school were average, her knack for numbers, and calculations were passable, but they were certain she had no future in economics, and she wasn't particularly athletic either. Eventually when recruiters came calling Sab had little options availible, and decided to enlist. During this time Sab eventually found out that she had a knack for sharpshooting. Even without a spotter she was able to work competently. With no real ambition to speak of, Sab didn't use this talent to advance her career, and was quite content to continue doing simple ground work, and took promotions as they came, without seeking them out. She was happy with the work, the pay was more than enough, and she was content knowing she was doing work that would help people, plus she took a small amount of pride in knowing she was one of very few Ovisians doing active military work. Being a follower of cosmopolitics, Sab knew of Rexil, and its unique situation. She had followed the issue closely since she heard of it, and when she found out that the UGAF was taking volunteers for a mission to investigate the planet she signed on with a genuine interest in finding out what was going on, and hoping that she might be able to help those that had gone missing.
Seraph Gazelle -- Ovisian "Commando"- Spoiler:
Character Name: "Gazelle" doesn't use his birthname anymore. Race: Ovisian Age: 21 Gender: Male Appearance: Gazelle is not built like your overage Ovisian. Time offworld has strengthened his body to overcome the normally frail but toned form his race normally has. Gazelle has the build of a martial artist, not an ounce of wasted muscle on his body. Those that contest that he's just another "prairie grazer" often find themselves in the hospital due to being hit with a punch that can crack Krogan's skull clean open like a melon. You don't fuck with Gazelle. Gazelle has tanned skin due to time spent on desert worlds though he was born with slightly tanned skin to begin with. Paired with his blond hair and golden eyes it gives him an exotic look that attracts far more attention than his multiple horn genetic quirk ever could, though that certainly does too. - Gazelle:
Class: Commando (Soldier/Infiltrator) Weapon Loadout: Gazelle doesn't really need guns to make your day a bad one but when he does carry a loadout he packs some serious fire power. Weapons include; a high powered silenced assault rifle that can be switched from semi-auto to automatic fire {Top}; a machine-pistol with similar capabilities only it can go from single to semi-auto {Middle}; and a special sniper rifle that runs on the same magnetic coil technology as a fleet ship's main guns. It accelerates the bullet at high speeds allowing it deep penetrating power. of course its a smaller, less powerful version of those main guns but it'll still ruin someone's day. Personality: Gazelle is Gazelle. Not much more needs to be said but in case that's too vague then... Gazelle's kind of they type that likes to get fighty with anything he thinks he can test his mettle against. He's rather like a Krogan in this respect and no, that punch thing wasn't an exaggeration. Though besides his confrontational nature Gazelle's pretty charming and nice. As long as you don't set him off he's a smooth, charming, and witty young man albeit a hotheaded one. Brief Background: Gazelle was born on the Ovisian's homeworld but left in his early teens due to wanderlust. Ended up throwing his lot in with a mercenary group and traveled from world to world till that got boring and he struck out on his own making a name for himself. Most don't even remember his real name isn't Gazelle and instead just use that. As of the moment he's in cold sleep on Rexil. Other: History sucks blah blah. Syril Alshqweull - Eantelli "Nemesis"- Spoiler:
Character Name: Syril "Quill" Alshqweull Race: Eantelli Age: 19 Gender: Both Appearance: Quill (it’s the name s/he prefers) is fairly typical of his/her race. Quill stands at a modest height of about 5’5” and weighing under 140lbs with a lean body and androgynous face that leans more towards being feminine than masculine. Quill has pilot light blue hair that almost reaches his/her shoulders with long front bangs brushed to the side. Quill also has clownfish orange colored eyes. For reference on facial features consult this link. S/he has three quills under each ether and the typical longer quills coming from behind his/her ear. Chromatophore markings are an indigo/violet color when triggered. Class: Nemesis Weapon Loadout: Pistols (roughly comparable to the Phalanx), Eantelli cerimonial fighting knivesLoad can/will probably change as the rp goes on I'm sure. Personality: Quill is like the rest of his/her race and is a social butterfly as well as being a hyper bubbly person easily able to flit between several conversations held by several people at the same time. Time spent with the pirates has conditioned him/her to somewhat tone down the more flighty aspects of his/her race though it has done nothing to reign in the ingrained sexual nature of his/her Eantelli instinct. Quill still uses sexual slang and metaphors and does sometimes slip into formal third person forms of speech when addressing others. Is not adjusting to being reigned in as part of being "hired on" as a "mercenary" well. Brief Background: Quill was born on one of the hundreds of colony ships that orbited around the planet Haven. Why not on Haven? Because Quill was born to one of the Eantelli in charge of maintaining that particular colony ship in case of planet wide evacuation. This had some perks. Quill had a smart parent who taught him/her a great deal in the way of technology. However learning about machines and computers could only do so much for one's life and so Quill discovered his/her knack for piloting, and impressive biotic skill. It was almost on a whim too. The thirteen year old Eantelli stumbled into the cockpit of what would eventually become his/her personal fighter and flew her out into space. Much panicking ensued until Quill returned. After this s/he balanced life between flying, tinkering, biotics training, and learning traditional Eantelli combative arts such as unarmed combat and knife fighting. However that life changed drastically. During an escort run to drop supplies from one colony ship to another pirates struck. They attempted to raid the transport ship. Quill would have none of that and opened fire on the lead ship of the raiding party. Only to be shot. As luck would have it the pirate's flagship happened to be close by. Enough so that Quill delivered the burning soon to be wreck of a scout ship s/he was piloting directly into the thing's hanger where it collided with the captain's personal starfighter before he could take off. Quill proceeded to eject from the scout ship knives drawn and ready to go down swinging. The pirates didn't know whether to shoot Quill or recruit him/her. The captain decided to force him/her to repair his shit then shoot him/her. Luckily before long Quill became a member of the pirates and never turned back. Well, that is until they got caught during a brazen run on a military convoy. Quill was the only survivor of the raiding party and was taken into custody. Before long he/she was assigned to the Zermic instead of being incarcerated because skilled pilots of Quill's level were rare; talented biotics without augmentations of his/her caliber were rarer still.

Other: N/A -- Character Name: Dura Steehl Race: Human Age: 26 Gender: Female Appearance: Dura (Only with the shirt buttoned up, and without the "I want to have sex with you" look) Class: Adept Weapon Loadout: M-5 Phalanx Heavy Pistol, M-96 Mattock Assault Rifle, and a knife. Other: N/A -- Character Name: Iliad Bell Race: Human Age: 24 Gender: Female Appearance: IliadClass: Operative. Other: N/A -- Character Name: Mortal Dulces Race: Human Age: 28 Gender: Female Appearance: MortalClass: Soldier Weapon Loadout: M-99 Saber Assault Rifle, and M-25 Hornet Submachine Gun. Other: N/A -- Character Name: Zell Talea Race: Human Age: 25 Gender: Female Appearance: ZellClass: Engineer. Other: N/A Most of these are copy overs, so let me know if anything needs to be changed (I changed things like the Citadel, and the Alliance, etc., but let me know if I missed something). Mortal will be finished later, and Zell will go up later as well.Finished Mortal, now for Zell.Zell is done, now to consider whether or not I want to actually make Sab...

| It uses the races, and worlds, and a bit of lore. I actually see this as something better than going it alone. Helps to ground the RP in the familiar. That is just my take on it however. | |

| The sheer amount of adaptation and extra info I have to add on to my race makes me not want to join. I didn't want to have to put THAT much info like Az has on the other races especially since three sections are redundant on his setup and can be combined into one =/
That and the ME verse as a whole makes some of the more fantastical aspects of the Eantelli harder to swallow.
Edit: Also fairly sure Tae and Wolf were looking forward to it being an original space rp too. So he basically doesn't have the required joined members anyway if he doesn't change it. Unless I'm wrong.

| Hey here is a though, if you actually add your race then boom, this RP now HAS those fantastical aspects. ME is a launch pad, not the ceiling. I believe you're making this a bigger issue than it needs to be, especially since this doesn't follow ME to the tee anyway, I already had to edit out things, like the Citadel, the entire race of Drells, and Shanxi from my profiles to suit this RP. This is more of a middle ground than you give it credit for, especially since this RP won't be dealing with Reapers or Collectors, or Cerberus, but its own, wholly unique situation.
Edit. As for the way he has things set up in the race descriptors, I'm not sure why that is such a big issue for you. I'm considering making a race myself, and I have no qualms with the setup as is. Irrespective of that, I'm sure it isn't set in stone, and that Az is open to editing something as simple as a layout.

| That lack of the Drells makes me sadface too but that's a minor point.
I can but it'd take awhile since I have to add a lot more info to bring it up to par.

| The lack of Drell is a minor point, the lack of Volus, Shadow Broker, Hanar, Vorcha, Batarians, and Omega, as well as any other planet that isn't specified, are major points. Without these this universe lacks a grounding in its Economy, Religion, Information trading, and criminal underworld, and most of its second class citizens.
These are all things that are open for the user (read:us) to create, giving this universe a unique feel. I was already considering having the Sheep people, should Sab join, be a mix of the Hanar, and Volus. Highly religious, economically minded accountants and bankers... Like Jews.
My point is, there is a lot of room for you, personally, to differentiate this from Mass Effect, you're just choosing not to.

Also again, pretty sure Tae and Wolf aren't going to join now.

| Don't you only need two people besides the creator?
You and I are two of the three active users that were considering joining, so it'll still work out.
As far as your species, you don't need to "meet" the bar, just what is important. I doubt anyone cares whether your race has a fast metabolism, or is a dextrose-protien species.

| I'll be less difficult about it when I have time to transfer it all to the rp's format. Which will be... Friday or Early Saturday.
Its late and tomorrow I'm going in for a consultation on seeing how many of my wisdom teeth need yanking.
Oh yeah, that reminds me, whenever I get them yanked I'll probably be off site for a few days.I'll be less difficult tomorrow. In the meantime enjoy this preview of my char. Quite possibility the fruitest pic I have on file. Syril

| BS, I got two of my molars yanked and I was on, and posting the same day. Speaking of not being on though, I've got a wedding to go to, so I'll be off this weekend, starting Saturday.
Also, to be fair, this format isn't new. He showed you the Krogan one back on the Planning thread. You've had time to raise this complaint already.

| So you don't have to hunt for it in the planning section. - Spoiler:
:Eantelli::"There are stranger things between heaven and earth, we've seen em in space" Basic InformationAlternate Name(s): Changers, Weirdoes, Irregulars Faction(s): None really Common Lifespan: 100~140, they stop aging at their physical prime but after they hit the triple digits their bodies begin to break down at a rate that varies between individuals. Physical ProfilePhysical Description: The Eantelli at first glance are physically similar to humans to the point of which outside of the obvious differences they are physically indistinguishable. What are these differences? Well for one, the Eantelli’s skin is actually comprised of scales, very very small and neatly layered scales. You’d have to look fairly close to see the actual scaling pattern. Unlike humans whose hair and eyes typically aren’t vibrant those of the Eantelli are though they tend to have a unified color scheme. If they have hair in the cool colors then their eyes will by the opposite (Ex: blue hair and red eyes). Hair only grows on their head and is probably some sort of evolutionary trait that has long since lost its use. They also have two to three 4 1/2 inch spines extending from under their ears as well as two more spines extending from behind their ears. These spines are significantly larger than the others those the exact length varies. They all tend to be physically androgynous though it isn’t unusual to be more masculine or feminine than others. The real difference between the Eantelli and many of the other humanoid races is they lack a permanent sex. The Eantelli have the ability to freely change their sex at will shifting from male to female or female to male and back again at their whim. Their internal workings are odd and seem to be a hybridization of the internal set up of both sexes that allows shifting between its uses as the Eantelli shifts sexes. While they can change their sex at will they do have a preference for a certain gender identity that of course varies from individual to individual. They will feel more comfortable in one form or another but they truly lack a profound preference for one sex over the other. They also stop aging once they hit their physical prime meaning most Eantelli don’t look older than the thirties tops. Innate Racial Abilities -
- Capable of seeing in the infrared spectrum when their normal vision is blocked (like if they were to be put in a situation where their normal vision would be impaired due to darkness, a smokescreen, ect their vision would switch to infrared).
- They can shed their skin just like a reptile which has the nifty ability to remove most kinds of wounds barring the truly nasty stuff.
- Their quills are covered in chromatophores, as are certain parts of their body. Normally they remain in their neutral colors but when agitated they will change revealing swirling patterns on their skin/scales. They tend to look much more imposing when they do this, after all you don’t want to mess with the guy with all the tattoos right?
Physical -
- Outside of the above mentioned traits they are the same strength, speed, agility, ect wise as a human though once they reach their physical prime they stop aging. While it is possible to increase their physical abilities beyond this point it is fairly difficult to do so without intense and excessive training. A human who focuses in a specific special ability like running and weight lifting will almost always be better at it than an Eantelli.
- Eantelli tend to be more tech savvy than humans. It’s not that they have more advanced tech or that they are smarter its more so they tend to have the mindsets that allow them to comprehend technological intricacies at a higher level than most (but not all) humans.
Natural and Unnatural Immunities -
- They have a resistance to vertigo and can withstand more g-force than a human can but are not totally immune to ether.
- Human diseases don’t affect them much.
Weapon Proficiencies -
- Anything a human can do they can do. If it involves complex technology there’s a chance they can do it better.
Psychological ProfileHistory: The Eantelli hail from a small planet in one of the closer galaxies to the Milky Way. The planet is called Tellium and it is a humid and tropical world but otherwise similar to Earth. The Eantelli shared their planet with another race, the Parm. The Parm were far more reptilian and much more warmongering than the Eantelli. It was during one of many great wars that the Eantelli were forcefully exiled from their planet. They drifted space in thousands of colony ships until eventually contact was made between humans and them. The Eantelli’s lack of xenophobic behavior made them one of humanity’s first true allied partners in their great exodus from Earth. Likewise the Eantelli saw humans as their first real ally. Much sharing of culture and technology ensued. When humans arrived at the planet that became known as Balance the Eantelli were with them. Most Eantelli now live on Balance though some still live on their colony ships in order to keep the ships maintained incase a planet wide evacuation were necessary for both the Eantelli and the humans. Cultural Facts: As mentioned before the Eantelli, while they can freely change their sex and all that, do identify with a certain gender which varies between Eantelli. Their society exists in something of a pseudo-matriarchal esq sort of system where the ones with associate themselves with the female gender tend to have higher positions and are thought of a bit higher though it’s a marginal difference at best. While the concept of gender exists with them they often refer to themselves and each other in the third person when being formal. Between friends they will refer to each other using the common gender pronouns. They also don’t place much merit in monogamy or prudishness. While not a race of loose people they are a hell of a lot more open. It isn’t uncommon to hear insults being flung between Eantelli that involve the number of sexual partners an individual has had with merit being placed in more than less. Sexual insults and derogatory slang are often very colorful and used liberally in casual settings and are not limited to terms and concepts of their race but to other races as well. Common Religion – Eantelli don’t have a single unified religion and usually adopted whatever religion best suits their own personal ideals.
Weaknesses -
- Same as a human’s more or less.
Misc.Anything else we should know? – idk n/a atm the sucks balls but eh

| Hm. Any one of my girls would be interested should it be in female form, but they'd probably always be wary of a surprise dicking.
Edit. Also, kind of reminds me of a mix between Asari, and Quarians.

| Syril/Quill tends to stay in male form because... here... I'll just quote from the rp s/he came from. - Quote :
- All women tended to be psychotic. Its why he only liked his female form for self gratification. Estrogen was a crazy hormone that he didn't like feeling for more than the time it took to orgasm then be done with it.

| And now all my females don't like him. Save for Noct, who isn't really a female. New Noct would hate him too. How dare you insult the superior sex?! | |

| There's a line he says before that about said psychosis being linked to how easy it is to get them in bed stating that the easier the crazier. Ergo he doesn't like loose women. Its just the estrogen bit was the important part. | |
