Name: Kent "Steel" Barbara
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Appearance: Kent; while fighting crime, wears this jacket, along with this mask (Mask made of steel).
Occupation: Vigilante
Allegiance: Independent/sometimes works with Justice
Personality:
Joking and flirty, he's an ideal friend. Overly kind at times, some would say. A normal guy, for the most part. He gets much more serious while fighting, however. Even more so when donning his vigilante personality, even bordering on emotionless.

History:
Kent grew up in a poor family in the rough parts of town, where he was mercilessly beaten by his alcoholic parents. Nevertheless, he managed to deal with it and moved out as his first opportunity. Just in time, too.

A few weeks after getting his own apartment, he got a letter in the mail saying that his mom and dad were killed in some sort of drive-by shooting, along with many others. Despite his loathing for his parents at the time, he still considered them important people in his life, and this drove him to the breaking point. After some talking and convincing with his friend, a police officer, he got his hands on some of their equipment, which he uses to fight crime on a nightly basis. He's known by the nickname of "Steel" among criminals now.

Other: He also regularly practices kickboxing and judo.

Name: Astarte Cyprus
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Appearance: Astarte is a small woman (around 165cm tall and weighing 50kg) with waist length brown hair and brilliant blue eyes. She wears a short black skirt and a white button up shirt with a black bow on the collar. Over the shirt she wears a small, black silk jacket.
Occupation: Casino Bar Tender.
Allegiance: Independant (works at one of Carson's casinos, but is not involved with him).
Personality: Astarte is a quiet, reserved woman who prefers to keep relations with the casino's patrons civil at best. Being a small, attractive and apparently defenseless woman in such a dangerous city, she is constantly cautious of her surroundings and the people around her.
History: Astarte was born to a middle-class family, her father in the police and her mother a charity worker. Her mother died from a severe heart attack when Astarte was 12, leaving Astarte with an infuriating older brother and a distant father. Shortly before Astarte's 16th birthday her father was murdered quite publically and she grieved for his loss while fearing for her own life.
When she finished her secondary education, she found herself with no ambition or direction and in order to keep herself fed she became a waitress at a restaurant and then moved on to be a cocktail waitress at the biggest casino in the city. After 6 more months she became a full time bar tender.
Equipment: A short barrelled .38 S&W revolver (which she took from her late father's belongings) in the inside pocket of her silk jacket.

Name: Senthose Rasheverek
Age: 25
Appearance: Shoulder-length, black hair, blue eyes, white skin. Wears a coat with a simple black suit underneath.
Occupation: Epidemiologist
Allegiance: Independent/Justice.
Personality: You know what he's like, don't give me that.
History: Senthose was not an orphan and he did not grow up with parents who hated or neglected him. His family wasn't rich, but they never had trouble getting by either. He just never really liked them back. When he went off to college, he began seeing less and less of them. By the time he was accepted into medical school, he was ignoring them completely. He was not born in Stoneport, he moved there as part of a project that was put together to find a cure for the epidemic. But his real hobby was screwing people over. Between a lab accident and a tip to the police that some of them were trying to develop chemical weapons, within a few years found himself continuing the project on his own, with all of the funds. With no one to really report to, he used his free time to commit murders. Just whores and homeless to start, learn the craft, but his real idea of fun is to take out high profile targets. To that end, he occasionally offers his services to Justice, taking up the ringleader's habits of secrecy so that no one knows that doctor, murderer, & revolutionary are one in the same.
Equipment: He can't carry much on him in the field. A germ mask, gloves, sanitizer, scalpel, gauze, & a small bottle of chloroform are his basic supplies. He also has a straight black cane, which secretly has a concealed blade in it.
Other: He can shoot, fairly well, he just chooses not to use a gun as his primary weapon. Instead, he learned how to disarm someone who had a gun.

I was lamenting to Neo that Noct's shitty parent relationship seems a bit meaningless when every character is orphaned with fucked up parental relationships... I half wanted to edit Noct's backstory to have her mother alive still.

I literally made Senthose's backstory to contradict that fad.

Yeah my characters are usually orphans or at least raised with a single parent. Don't know why, I just like it more when creating an app. Probably my distance from my own parents *shrug* no big deal, in a place like Stoneport it actually is very likely we'd all be orphans.

I'm raised by a single parent, so that is why I do that for some of my characters. On this forum it is only Noct I do that too, and only sometimes at that.

I've never written parents for my characters before, or even considered it, to be honest. It just seemed an easy option to kill them both off while giving Astarte a reason to be mildly paranoid.

Appearance: Enkidu is a 6"6' bear of a man with a thick set of muscles, dark green eyes and messy blonde hair that just covers his ears.
Occupation: Edison Monroe's second in command and right hand.
Allegiance: Police Department (Edison Monroe).
Personality: Enkidu is a hot-headed, uncaring and ruthless man. While appearing loyal and honour-bound, he is treacherous and sleezy.
History: Enkidu was one of two children born to a middle class family and spent the first eighteen years of his life playing sports, partying, going shooting and trying to impress his father- a big man in the police force. As soon as he came of age he joined the police force and set about proving himself. Soon enough he was recognized for his efforts, was invited to various parties and enveloped himself in the corrupt community of Stoneport. Soon after Enkidu turned 21 his father was very publically assassinated (not long after crossing James Carson), but Enkidu was not set back by this. Instead he decided he would advance and take his father's place. By the time he had turned 25 he had achieved his father's rank and status, but stayed as far away from James Carson as possible.
Equipment: A throwing knife in each boot and sleeve, a long-barrelled S&W .41 Calibre Magnum (hip holstered) and an extendable baton (kept in his inside jacket pocket).
Other: He is almost always found to be wearing an immaculate police uniform. At parties, however, he wears jeans, a leather jacket and a plain white shirt.
