CC Corp: Follow-up: We have received many questions regarding how to obtain Rare Equipment. Rare Equipments are unusually powerful pieces of equipment. For example, a very long spear or a heavy blade with a pick on the end. Another way to obtain a rare item is for it to have several added effects on it. An added effect is an effect linked to a weapon or armor that will occasionally trigger while you have it equipped.

There are added statuses that anyone can benefit from:
No Damage: Occasionally nullifies damage done to your character.
Half Damage: Occasionally halves damage done to your character.
Sound Body: Occasionally ignores physical status effects.
Sound Mind: Occasionally ignores mental status effects.

There are also added statuses that only warrior-type characters can take advantage of:
Life Dran: Occasionally heals your character in accordance with how much damage your attack has done.
Skill Drain: Occasionally attacks SP in addition to HP, & also heals your character's SP accordingly.
Death: Occasionally reduces the enemy's HP by a large amount.
Critical: Occasionally does double damage.

Finally, there are added statuses that only Wavemasters can take advantage of:
Alchemy: Occasionally turns any magic hit into an elemental critical, even if the monster has no elemental weakness.
Status Strike: Inflicts a random status effect when connecting with a physical attack. Has a high chance of activating.
