"Yeah, that was the scariest part. It's really hard to tell, since they don't talk, but...they seemed to be able to plan ahead. For instance, we were staying at this cabin, right, & the Shadow would often show up to bang at the door. But after we got a phone call out, suddenly, it just barged right in in the middle of the night. The door never kept it out in the first place. And speaking of that phone call, when it caught up with Nero, his phone mysteriously died. Like it was trying to stop us from escaping."

"I wouldn't advise it," Sab said, walking over and picking one up, "So, is there a story behind these, or do you just really like these kinds of gloves?"

Cameron:<I sort of wonder how we escaped.>

Azuma takes his tray and buggers off.

"I believe it is some kind of Satanic creature," Grimm said. "Which means it could indeed be intelligent, cunning and in possession of powers beyond our comprehension. And it may not simply be the size of the blow that kills such a creature, but the weapon. There are options left to consider if it makes itself known once again."
He looked over at Astarte again, who once again broke eye contact as soon as it was made, "I would like to offer whatever protection I can, if this issue arises again."
He and Hector sipped at their tea.

"No it isn't. Maybe I'm not in the best position to be Ms. Skeptic here, but it didn't care about the prayers, or the cross. If it is afraid of the Faith, that faith certainly isn't Wicca or Christianity. And while I'm pretty much the exact opposite of an atheist, I don't think that if we keep throwing holy artifacts at it, we'll eventually find one that works."

*Roatha awkwardly waits for Thiera to return, twiddling his thumbs, looking about the room, & whistling.*

"Soooooo...how 'bout that game of whatever that we recently won &/or lost?"

"I was taken to see an opera when I was really young. Some cheap opera gloves were being sold as novelty items, & I've loved them ever since. Some I've bought, others I've made myself."

"I suppose you are entitled to that belief, but I must disagree," Grimm said. He had furrowed his brow at the mention of Wicca. "A simple prayer and cross may not be enough to fell such a foe. How many member of the trip were of Christian faith, do you know?"
"Not me, to be honest," Hector shrugged. "I'm an atheist."
"I'm agnostic..." Astarte said. Eduj shook his head.

Cameron:<Honestly, I hoped you weren't going to go all,"It was the devil.">

Monu:<I don't know if anyone was Christian, it never really came up.>

"I am a man of God," Grimm replied flatly. "It is natural for me to believe this. I also feel like it may not have been mere coincidence that had this creature take a Christian boy, leaving behind his cross."

Cameron:<Or he just didn't get out in time, and dropped his cross.>

*Cameron looks annoyed and crosses his arms*

"Uh, we have a track meet coming up," Gabe said, "I don't really know about any other sports."

"Neither do I," Mortal said.

Noct barely cared about Track, so she didn't even respond to that, "How are your classes going? Are you finding it easy to assimilate back into school?"

"I've always though they looked nice on you," Sab said, "Like, I always picture you when I see a pair."

"Indeed that is also possible," Grimm nodded.
Hector gave Cameron a sidelong glance.

"Eh, it could be worse."

*Thiera mechanically dries her hands & moves towards the door.*

"Brilliant theory. Just one thing wrong with it: We all have injuries from any one of the several attacks by the Shadow. In fact, I was the first one attacked, & I dare say that I got the worst of it until it...did...whatever it does, to Stefan. I couldn't stand up for days."

"Aww, thank you."

*Aroma quickly gets dressed.*

"So, ready to go?"

"Indeed, I did not mean to say it only targeted those of Christian faith, I only found it interesting that a Christian boy was the only one 'erased'," Grimm said, sipping at his tea. "Apologies if I came across as uncaring to you. Is there anything else that would be good to know about these things?"

Noct shrugged, "College is annoying and hard enough, so I feel for you, having to deal with everything you guys did."

"Yea, sounds stressful," Gabe said, "Well, here is hoping for a normal school year."

"Tedious and boring?" Mortal asked.

"Well," Noct said, "And here I thought I was the ball of sunshine at this table."

Sab got dressed as Aroma was getting dressed and nodded when she fished an umbrella out of her closet, "Yea, all ready."

Cameron:<Euryale's right. His religion had nothing to do with the attack, it was all the fact he didn't get out in time.>

"Oh. Alright, then."

*Thiera heads out.*

"The only thing, the most important thing, I can say is to not mess with them. If you won't listen to that, there's really nothing that I can do. We've tried everything short of a hand grenade."

Monu:<Yeah, don't head out to the forest.>

Grimm sipped his tea, "We shall see."
"So, is that all?" Hector asked.
"I suppose, unless there is anything else anybody else would like to say," Grimm said, finishing his second cup.

"Yea," Gabe said with a smile, "Oh, like I said, we have a track meet coming up. You should come, it'll be fun."

Sab smiled, "I'm never going to get over how awesome it feels when you do that."

*After closing the door, she also puts her other arm around Sab's arm, & rests her head on her shoulder.*

"You won't have to."

*Thiera takes a seat & frowns at her now cold breakfast. She puts the eggs in between the toast & starts eating it as a sandwich, instead.*

R"Uhh...if we can make it, I guess. When is it?"

Cameron:<Come on.>

*He and Monu follow Euryale*

*Eve raises an eyebrow but sits down back in her seat*

Sab was absolutely giddy with joy at that, and couldn't even find something witty, or cute, or smart enough to follow that, so she just stayed quiet, smiling broadly, face red with blush.

T"That's kind of short notice."

R"What, don't you want to go?"

T"...Okay. What time?"

*The people in the elevator make room for them, alternating between eying them warily, & trying to avoid making eye contact. In contrast to their warm moment, outside it's raining heavily enough for puddles to start forming outside of the building.*
