Making A Comeback

"Go fuck yourself," Noct said, trying to open the top to her flask without him noticing.

"Did you hear that?" Mortal asked, looking towards where Noctis went, then to Euryale.

Astarte looked in Noct's direction and dropped the smile.

*Tirea doesn't even get though one as it turns out she really hates the taste*

<What are we going to do?>

*Noctis is promptly pistol whipped in the head.*

Aamon<None of that, now, let's go for a little walk.>

*He leads her back to the party, where Euryale notices her & kind of growls, lifting a hand.*

Aamon<Watch it! I'M the one with the gun. And I don't have to kill my bargaining chip on the first shot. So, I strongly suggest you do exactly as I say.>

V"I don't know...do you hear something out there?"

*As they're apparently done asking questions, the cop retreats back into the shadows, & disappears.*

*Tirea shrugs*

<I wasn't listening.>

"This isn't going to end well for you," Noct said with barely contained rage, "You're throwing your life away."

Mortal balled up her fists, but tried not to do anything that would alarm Aamon, "This doesn't have to be like this. You can still let her go before you do something foolish."

All of Gabe's frustration, and guilt was replaced with nervousness, "Oh no, oh no..."

Astarte stared, with no idea what to do but keep quiet and regulate her breathing.

Aamon<Silence! Now, here is how this is going to work: She's going to tell you how to get to her money, & you are going to get it all for me. I need it for plans that your feeble minds couldn't possibly comprehend.>

E"So, not because your gang went belly-up, & you want to leave the country & start a new life, but to do that, you need money, which you wasted by quitting your job & investing in the Purists?"

*Aamon glares at her for a while.*

Aamon<...Alright, perhaps you can comprehend them. But that doesn't mean you can do anything to stop them!>

V"Some man is yelling out there, but I don't think it's Roatha."

*She heads for the doorway.*

*Tirea sits on the floor*

<Can you tell me if I'm needed?>

"What makes you think I have any of my money here?" Noct asked, "There are these new things called banks, you know. If you'd let me get to a phone, I could try to give them a call and try to make a withdrawal. Or one of these fine ladies can make the call."

Mortal was trying to think of a way to alert Ven and Tirea without tipping off Aamon.

E"Listen...no one has to get hurt."

*Euryale starts to raise her arms.*

Aamon<I know what you're doing! No Metalbending, or I take the shot!>

*Aamon is a bit surprized when part of the gun explodes in his hand without expelling the shot. He drops the twisted weapon & looks at his bleeding hand to make sure all of his fingers are still there.*

*Ven peeks out & then ducks back into the kitchen.*

V"...Wait...."

*She ducks back around the wall & holds out her hand, focusing on the gunpowder she knows is inside of Aamon's strange device.*

*Tirea also peaks out then ducks behind. She then looks around for available plants/sources of water*

Noct cringed at the sound. When she could feel her head didn't have a bullet in it she quickly turned and was about to stab the shit out of him, but, with great effort, backed away from him as fast as possible.

Seeing the opening Mortal uses jet propulsion to quickly tackle Aamon to the ground.

Gabe rushes to Noct's side to make sure she's alright.

Aamon<Foolish boar! Do you really think--that I wouldn't have a back-up plan? That--spirits, lay off of the donuts--that you've defeated all of my research?>

*Aamon keeps trying to push Mortal off of him. Strangely, instead of tiring out, his attempts are getting more forceful at an alarming rate.*

E"Tirea, Ven, call the cops!"

*Euryale raises her hands like she's a goddamn praying mantis, focusing on the struggle between Aamon & Mortal.*

Mortal keeps trying to subdue him with punches to the face. Meanwhile Noct goes to get some water so she can freeze the fucker to the ground.

Astarte followed after Noct to fetch water, thinking she might have to heal somebody.

*Tirea runs to the phone and calls the cops*

*Aamon eventually forces Mortal off of him. She can swear that his irises are brighter somehow. He grabs her by the neck & rises to a standing position, before punching her in the face.*

Aamon<That's not as much fun when it happens to you, is it? It's much more!>

*He punches her in the face again. By this time, Euryale is on him. She grabs his wrist with one hand & palms into his neck, but it doesn't seem to faze him.*

E"How are you doing this?!"

Phone<Police HQ.>

{Aamon's at the Talea estate, we need help! Please send as many people as you can.}

*While still holding the phone, Tirea enters into a defensive stance*

Mortal puts up her arms to defend her face so she isn't just hanging there being punched in the face like a fool. When Euryale grabs him Mortal kicks off her heels, seeing this as a good time to get that out of the way, then grabs his arm, and uses her legs to push off of Aamon, hoping to either dislocate his shoulder, or pop out of his grip.

Noct manages to get to her sink, and turns the faucet on and scoops up about four spheres of water, about six inches in diameter. She then hurries back so she can get to stabbing Aamon.

Phone<Right away, Ma'am. Is there anything else that we need to know?>

*Euryale puts her fists together & swings them up into Aamon's stomach. The combined force is enough to pop them out of Aamon's grip. When he gets back up, his eyes are glowing with a vaguely green hue, but sick, like bile. He digs an empty syringe out of his pocket.*

Aamon<It's my trump card. A solution that removes restrictions on the user's chi, allowing them to access the full reserves of their strength. I invented it based on my research into the origins of Bending, & the Avatar.>

*Euryale points at him.*

E"Chi is meant to be focused through physical & mental exercises that promote a body & spirit healthy enough to withstand it. Forcing it with drugs, as you have, is unnatural & dangerous. You could wind up killing yourself."

*Aamon gives an exaggerated shrug.*

Aamon<Again, you underestimate a genius you can't comprehend. I already know the time limits on this power, & have the antidote for the solution that I just took. I assure you, you'll all be dead with enough time for me to take what I came for & make a strategic retreat.>

{He's using something to increase his physical abilities...You have to hurry!}

*Tirea hangs up and looks for a window to climb out of. She motions to Ven to follow her*

Noct walks in just to see Aamon go all Bane, and give insightful exposition, "I see things have changed since I left..."

"What if someone breaks the antidote?" Mortal asked.

*Ven does not. Instead, she runs down the hall.*

Aamon<The concept is simple, apparently too simple for your plebian mind: You can't break that which you cannot find.>

*Aamon [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] at Euryale, who instinctively tries to raise a wall, but only rips a few tiles out of the floor. They end up smashed as Euryale crashes into a coffee table, smashing it. Aamong then swings a kick at Mortal.*

Mortal ducks and tries to tackle the leg he is standing on, aiming at the knee in an attempt to hyper-extend it.

Noct creates three ice daggers and launches them into Aamon's chest.

Gabe goes to make sure Euryale didn't get hurt to badly, "Are you alright?"
