Taiyo: "I guess you do lead busy lives."

Taiyo looks to Aroma, wondering what that means for them.

Morgan: "He's fucking nuts!"

Morgan laughs and falls backwards in his chair.

*Aroma frowns.*

A"What is it? Is something wrong?"

*Eve runs into her parents as she and Cameron enter her house*

Dr Tantus(F):<You better have been out at Jin's.>

Eve:<Uh, yeah, her mom dropped us off at the top of the street.>

Cameron:<I better be getting home.>

*So he fucks off*

"What is he? The Don?" Jin giggled a bit.

Taiyo: "Oh, it's nothing, really."

Morgan: "Wicked short temper."

A"Well...if you're sure...."

"Didn't seem like it," Jin shrugged, still looking at the ceiling.

Possibly to reassure herself or simply because she wants to go to bed, Taiyo wraps her arms around Aroma and kisses her.

Morgan: "He's heavily medicated."

Mitchell: "But keep it to.yourself. No one wants any trouble because he decided to open his mouth."

Fastforward to Tuesday afternoon, anyone watching television is in for a recap of the Tempest shooting from Saturday where the death toll is estimated to be at atleast one hundred ten people as well as a showing of a video from Raptor stating he and his army will grind the Russian mob into the ground.

At the bookstore, Azuma & Hitomi are organizing shelves and across town, Taiyo is trying to clean out the cage of the parrot that swears at everyone.

Jack enters Grimm's room followed by an orderly carrying a small tray and a dark haired woman in a black catsuit.

Jack: "Good afternoon, Isaac."

He gestures to the woman while the nurse sets the tray down on the bedside table and removes Grimm's inhibitor collar.

Jack: "This is the first of your fellow co-workers, Codename: Jammer. Think of her as like that collar the nurse just took off of you, only without the painful shock that comes with trying to use your powers while wearing it."

Jammer: "Pleasure to meet you."

The nurse removes a needle of sorts from the tray and jabs Grimm in the neck with it, injecting something into him.

Jack: "And with that done, let's go meet some of the other new recruits and senior members."

Jin called Eve.

Grimm held out a hand towards Jammer, palm facing the ceiling, and looked from Jack to Jammer and back, "May I test?"

*Finished with classes, Thiera & Aroma are lurking outside of the pet store, out of view. Aroma has a hand over her mouth & Thiera is checking her blog.*

T"If you keep that up, you're liable to brush them right off."

A"...Am I that obvious?"

T"We've only been stalling out here for 10 minutes. I don't know what you're so worried about. You both certainly seemed to be enjoying it."

A"It's just...I'm nervous...things are getting so different so fast...."

T"That's what college is for, isn't it?"

A"I...I guess...."

T"Then let's just go inside. Just say, 'Hi.' She's not expecting you to give her a ring, or anything."

*Luna walks into the book store, like a boss, & wanders the aisles, also like a boss.*

*Eve, sitting at her desk, picks up*

She presumably wanders down the aisle Azuma & Hitomi are in.

Hitomi: "Hello. May I help you find anything?"

People stare at the two loitering outside of a pet shop, like a couple of people who may or may not be peddling their own special brand of catnip.

Jack: "If you want. On a related note, I wouldn't try anything afterwards. Like all of the recruits here present and future and particularly violent recruits, they're all injected with nanites. If the officer is deemed to big of a burden, the killswitch is flicked and....it won't be a pleasant way to go."

Jammer shakes his hand.

"I'm looking for a book."

*Aroma takes a deep breath.*

A"Alright...you're right...let's go...."

*Thiera opens the door.*

A"No, wait, I've changed my mind!"

T"Just come on!"

*And so Thiera grabs her by the arm & takes them into the shop.*

Grimm accepted the hand shake and then pointed his index finger upwards, trying to light a candle flame.

"'S me, Jin," Jin chirped over the phone, spinning around on a swivel chair in her own room. "Didn't learn anything from those guys, but I think I will be able to next time."

{That's unfortunate. I was thinking about going down to the library to try and contact the Grapevine. Want to come?}

Hitomi: "What is the title?"

Parrot: "Fuck off!"

Taiyo: "That's not how you greet--"

She sees who came strutting in and looms back at the parrot.

Taiyo: "That's definitely not how you greet people as they come in."

Nothing happens.

Jack: "Her ability doesn't work by touch. Wouldn't make for a very reliable ability if it did."

*Aroma walks up next to Taiyo to leer at the cage, her nerves forgotten.*

A"You know, I saw a show the other night about a lady who taught a parrot how do do all kinds of things, like count & answer questions. Maybe she could teach one manners, too?"

"I don't know that yet. I'm just looking for A book. An entertaining one. One that will last a while, but isn't too expensive."

"Okay, let's go," Grimm said testily.

"Sure, meet you there," Jin replied.

{Ok, I'll pick up Cameron on the way. See you.}

*So Eve heads down and enters the garage where her father is waiting in his car, then gets in and they drive over to Cameron's house*

Azuma: "If you're keen on science fiction amd horror, H.P Lovecrafts "Eldritch Tales" fit the bill."

Parrot: "Bitch!"

It squawks and flaps its wings as if looking to intimidate and threaten Aroma. Probably succeeding.

Taiyo: "I think this one's too old to learn manners."

They travel down some hallways and out a set of double doors into a fenced in courtyard of sorts. Around the yard are other patients, some playing basketball, others sitting off in groups talking, others just sit by their lonesome.

Among the guards standing by the doors and gate is a brick house of a man in a military uniform with a clipboard.

Jack: "This would be The General, our head recruitment officer."

The General: "This the pyro you told me about?"

Jack: "Quite the poet, isn't he? Anyway yes, this is Isaac Grimm. He's stable enough to some degree I figured I'd introduce him to the rest of team."

The General: "Welcome aboard, Grimm."

The General extends a hand that could crush Grimm's.

Given Grimm's own considerable figure, the significance of the man was not lost on him. He shook the hand firmly, "Not many people around here use given names, I s'pose."

Jin started her jog to the library.

*Eve goes to the door and grabs Cameron, then Dr Tantus drives them to the library*

*She makes a face.*

L"No thank you. They remind me of bad dreams I once had."

*She flinches a little, but other than that. Thiera walks up.*

T"We were just on our way to look at an apartment. We wanted to stop by to see you & Ven first, & maybe take one or both of you along, if you're free."

Azuma: "That's unfortunate. Is there anything in particular you had in mind? Genre or authorwise."

Taiyo: "I still have this bully's cage to clean as well as to tend to the kittens."

Parrot: "Shit!"

Taiyo: "Sorry."

The General: "Onky the top brass go by given names. Field agents are given codenames unless they think of one's themselves."

He flips through some pages on the clipboard and goes off towards some young looking male that can't be older than sixteen. The kid glares at The General who picms the kid up by the neck of his shirt as if he were nothing.

The General: "On your feet, soldier! You've just beem drafted into a war!"

Jack: "He's quite passionate about his job."

T"That's alright, we knew you were working. We'll stop by on our way back."
