Old Ones Return (III)

*Cameron slashes Metalgarurumon's blaster, which is then used by Saberdramon on IceDevimon*

Taiyo: "I hope not, but you never know."

Renamon: "And Euryale likely doesn't want you wandering off."

Angemon continues flying to avoid the attack.

Azuma slashes the Hydro Pressure card if need be which Angemon uses to intercept BlackGrowlmon's flames.

<Why don't we ask her if she cares what I do? Oh, right, because she passed me off to you like a basketball. So probably not. Now let go.>

*Growlmon, as it turns out, has been doing this to get a bead on Angemon's flying pattern. It eventually jumps through the blaze, grabbing Angemon's shoulders with its foreclaws & kicking into him with its rear ones. It also scrapes him down the side of a building as they descend. The top of IceDevimon is essentially completely blown off, & it smokes a bit, before the bottom starts dissolving into data. As do the arms hanging limply from Saberdramon's claws.*

"Well, they're our partners, right? By the transitive property, they should be having a great time."

*Saberdramon uses Black saber again to make sure IceDevimon is gone, then soars into the air, towards Angemon and Growlmon*

Taiyo: "I don't know...wouldn't he have been happy to go with Renamon?"

Renamon bops Koromon on the nose.

Angemon gives BlackGrowlmon a Hydro Pressure to the stomach.

*Koromon bites her.*

"I don't know, I know next to nothing about Renamon."

*She shrugs.*

*BlackGrowlmon grunts & powers through it, biting Angemon's neck & twisting. As for Devimon, there's nothing left to attack, Saberdramon is stupid. As Gatomon has been smooshed against a house by a bigass ball of steel, DexDorugamon comes out of nowhere, fly-tackling Saberdramon &, once pinned to the ground, tearing into it with its claws.*

*Saberdramon uses Black Saber on it's face, struggling to get away*

Taiyo: "I don't really know anything about her either. She doesn't really open up. I don't don't think they're getting along."

Renamon growls and picks Koromon up by his ears. She is not gentle about it.

Renamon: "If you don't like that your partner left you with me, then take it up with her."

Hitomi passes Azuma the Cocytus Breath card which he swipes. Angemon attacks with BlackGrowlmon point blank with it.

Gatomon pulls herself up, groaning and grumbling and makes her way back to the fray.

"So...you're saying we should finish eating & go find them?"

*Koromon loses the ears, via Digivolution. Now free, he turns to swipe at Renamon with his claw.*

<You should worry more about how this is gonna go down.>

*Gatomon has difficulty getting out from under that giant steel ball. Growlmon, now missing a huge chunk of its midsection, throws Angemon into the side of the building & stabs at him with its energy blade. Meanwhile, DexDorugamon is still tearing out big chunks of feathers from Saberdramon, letting out guttural, gurgling roars.*

Taiyo: "It might be a good idea..."

Renamon blocks with one arm and claws at his eyes with the other.

And so Gatomon has to push a steel ball off of her. Difficult, but not impossible.

Angemon rolls out of the way or at least so his body isn't hit and attacks with Cocytus Breath.

*Saberdramon uses Metalgarurumon's blaster on DexDorugamon*

*Agumon winces to protect his eyes & fires a Pepper Breath in Renamon's smug face.*

*BlackGrowlmon is destroyed. DexDorugamon flies back before the blast can hit it & begins charging up another one of its balls.*
=================================
*And so Euryale pays the bill & they head out into the night, Euryale's arm around Taiyo's shoulders.*

Taiyo follows, an arm around Euryale's waist.

Renamon shields her face with her arm and kicks Agumon in the stomach.

Angemon absorbs the data of BlackGrowlmon and attacks DexDorugamon with Cocytus Breath.

*Saberdramon tries to get out of the way, then attacks with Metalgarurumon's blaster again*

*People start emerging from their homes to investigate all of the commotion. Overwhelmed by the attacks, one of DexDorugamon's wings is destroyed, but it's not finished yet as it slips into a nearby alley.*

*Agumon lands on the ground in front of them, having fallen from the rooftop.*

"What the Hell?!"

<I'm fine, don't worry, one second!>

*With that, he pulls himself to his feet, & fires another Pepper Breath at Renamon.*

*Saberdramon dives into the ally, clawing with Black Saber*

Kylie:<We need to move!>

Taiyo: "Oh dear..."

Renamon backs away from the edge of the roof and out of Agumon's line of sight.

Having had multiple posts to pick herself up, Gatomon presumably regroups with Hitomi, probably feeling really shitty.

Angemon readies to pursue DexDorugamon, but stops.

Azuma: "Hold up. We should skidaddle."

Angemon reverts to Patamon and they all bugger off.

<Alright, so what's the plan: Hyper Wing or Digivolution?>

"I wanted you to get along!"

*Agumon turns, looking up at her with annoyed confusion.*

<Well, if you didn't want a fight, then why did you leave me with some jerk who was going to hit me in the nose, pull on my ears, & kidnap me?>

*Meanwhile, people are yelling, asking what you idiot kids are running around for.*

*Saberdramon flies down to Cameron then reverts. Kylie and Moonmon start running towards home, quickly followed by Cameron and Biyomon*

Taiyo: "Euryale said to bop you in the nose if you were misbehaving."

They continue on their way, hoping that if they ignore it it'll go away.

*Euryale puts her hands on her hips & leans forward.*

"What did you do?"

<Nothing! I just tried to go home, & that crazy banana-colored fox kidnapped me, & then punched me in the nose!>

*He points in Renamon's general direction, & then at his nose. Euryale steps back, folding her arms.*

"...Okay, I really meant if he started attacking a duck, or something."

*In that they're getting farther away from it, sure.*

*They continue on towards home*

Taiyo: "She probably could have taken you home. Unless you didn't ask and just tried going on your own."

<Yeah, so? Is that a crime?>

Taiyo: "It just doesn't seem like a good idea to be wandering around by yourself."
