Episode Three: Beneath the Deep

Taiyo looks at Lunamon like she has no idea what she's talking about.

Taiyo: "I purr?"

Azuma: "Looks that way. Someone brought canteens and the like, right? We'll probably have to share whatever we can find."

Taiyo: "And we'll do what Euryale said."

R"Guess some will have to go with me to look in the spooky forest."

*And so they head off to do that.*

*Eve, Terriermon follow Roatha*

Lunamon:<Yup.>

*She and Kylie then follow Eve*

Azuma: "I guess we'll keep watch here."

There is presently no sign of a stream on the girls' end although Taiyo isn't exactly on the lookout for one.

Taiyo: "You like flowers and green, right Aroma?"

The forest is still spooky and foggy although with no wind or things eating each other, it's a bit more inviting. If it weren't for the fog, it'd be quite nice.

A"Uh, yes, I suppose so. Why?"

R"Now, how do we make sure we don't get lost. I don't really rely on these things."

*He taps the pocket his Digivice & D-Terminal are on.*

Lunamon:<I could mark the trees.>

Azuma watches some seaweed burn because he can't watch the world burn.

Taiyo: "Um well...I picked out a bathing suit in that house we stayed at and I thought it would suit you."

A"Oh...how very...thoughtful...."

*Expecting nipple pasties, Aroma's smile falters, & is replaced with a fake one.*

R"Mark them how?"

Lunamon:<Like this!>

*Lunamon uses Lunar Claw to scratch a tree*

Taiyo rummages around in her backpack removing a green tankini with white flowers.

Taiyo: "I bet it'd look really cute."

R"I guess that works. So where do we go now?"

A"Oh...that actually is really cute...."

*She looks down & pinches her abdomen through her clothes.*

A"...I just hope that it fits."

E"I don't understand why you'd want to hide yourself like that."

Eve:<I guess we just look around.>

*Eve and Terriermon head off into the forest, while Kylie and Lunamon follow, Lunamon marking trees*

Taiyo: "Euryale's fit, I'm sure yours will too. I bet you have a really nice body, you shouldn't hide it."

As they traverse The Dark Wood of Error, they hear some movement in the trees, but nothing's jumping out at them, so it's not too big a deal although the petrified Digimon are a little unnerving.

R"Can any of you, like, sniff out water, or something?"

*Aroma looks down at her feet, blushing furiously.*

A"Th--thank you, but I--I really don't like being exposed...."

Terriermon:<I could give it a shot.>

*Terriermon tries this*

Taiyo: "I'm sure it'll be okay with just the three of us. We're not asking you to dress like me."

There's the ocean between us, an unfamiliar Digimon or two, other forest smells that may include water. With ears like Terriermon has, it could probably hear a stream if they moved more than three steps in.

Terriermon:<I might smell something...Let's go farther in.>

*Eve compiles and heads off, Terriermon both listening and smelling*

*Because they obviously haven't been walking this whole time.*

Taiyo: "Aroma?"

After pushing through some foliage, knocking a petrified Digimon over, and tripping over another one, Terriermon hears running water.

A"What?"

R"Your Digimon is really clumsy. Or maybe God just enjoys laughing at her expense."

*Terriermon sticks his tounge out at Roatha, then turns towards the sound*

<I heard water that way!>

*He points. Eve starts walking in that direction, more careful to not trip over anything*

Taiyo: "Are you all right? You just went silent."

With some more tripping and knocking things over, breaking the horn on a petrified Gabumon, they come across a lake, a stream connected although the way it leads to is mostly covered by fog and thick foliage.

Standing on the bank of the river is Wizardmon's [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (and therefore superior) alter ego, their D-Terminal vibrating.

Renamon looks curiously at Hitomi whose expression has remained as deadpan as ever.

Renamon: "Do you mind if I ask why you're in such deep thought?"

Azuma nudges her and points to Renamon before she notices.

Hitomi: "Oh, well...do Digimon dream?"

Renamon: "Yes. There also exists a Digimon whose sole purpose is to feed on the dreams of other Digimon."

Azuma: "Does it feed on humans dreams?"

Renamon: "I don't know. As far as I know, you are the first group to come here."

*Kylie and Eve take out their D-Terminals*

Kylie:<Sorcerymon, champion level. Hello there!>

A"I'm fine."

R"What'cha doin'? Know if this water is safe to drink?"

Taiyo: "Um...okay?"

Sorcerymon: "I come here because I find joy in being here. As for your other question, the water is safe to drink. It tastes unpleasant, but it's safe."

Renamon: "Do your dreams trouble you?"

Hitomi: "Yes. Azuma's as well."

Renamon: "But dreams cannot hurt you."

Hitomi: "Normally."

Renamon looks at Hitomi's down and out expression.

Renamon: "You do not wish to continue this discussion?"

She nods and Renamon looks to Cameron.

Renamon: "What was odd about the Mega-level?"
