Episode Three: Beneath the Deep

*Euryale shrugs.*

E"Why don't we just find an empty house to sleep in?"

*Eve heads back down*

<There's only one bed. Do you want it?>

Taiyo: "I guess we could do that."

Atop Mount Infinity, Zarek stares at a ruined castle where BlackWarGreymon exits having slain its now former lord.

Zarek stares at it for a moment before recognizing it, a [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] holding a physical Crest of Courage around its neck, a crack running down the middle of the Crest.

Zarek: "Not many of you left. And even fewer of those"

The wind blows showing a crack in BlackWarGreymon's armor around where its heart would be.

I remember that day clearly as well.

BlackWarGreymon stares down at Zarek and growls.

Zarek: "I trust it doesn't matter how often I apologize for what happened, but I'm afraid there's nothing that can be done about it. You know she'll always remember you, right? And you her."

BlackWarGreymon roars and Zarek braces for an attack that doesn't come as it flies off.

They served justly, those brave Knights. They stopped an evil I can only hope never returns. But even then there was always something about that Agumon. Even before its anger became overwhelming there was always a darkness about it. I pray this generation doesn't have to put it down.

No longer having a reason to be at the castle, Zarek begins to go back down the mountain.

OOC: I hate you so much.

"I don't see why we can't both use it. What's the worst that could happen?"

*Euryale heads over to a random house to see if she can open the door.*

It's unlocked. It's fairly dark, but the outline of some furnishings are visible.

Taiyo roots through her backpack for her flashlight and turns it on shining it around the room. It looks normal enough, a sofa, few chairs, a table, pictures on the wall, but they're too far away to get a good look at them.

*Eve is already shaking her head*

<Sorry, I'm just not comfortable with it. it's not that you're a guy, I'm just rather shy.>

R"That's pretty lame, considering we're in a survival situation, & all."

*Aroma & Euryale both break out their own flashlights & start looking around.*

E"You think the bedrooms would be on this floor, or on a second floor?"

A"Maybe they'd be in a basement?"

There's a set of stairs leading up and a doorway leading to another room. Taiyo goes up to a picture on the wall to get a better look at it. It's a photograph of a green one piece bathing suit. Beside it is a picture of a purple one piece.

Taiyo: "I think some kind of weirdo lived here."

*Eve crosses her arms*

<Fine. We'll split the bed in half with something.>

*Eve heads up the stairs, looking for pillows and blankets*

*Euryale starts to head up the stairs, but goes back to see what Taiyo is looking at. Aroma explores the other room.*

"...Maybe we should find another house."

"I don't think...you know, whatever you need to do."

It is a small kitchen.

Taiyo: "It's kind of late already. Renamon and the others will be around if anything goes wrong."

The only pillows and blankets she can find are the ones on the bed. There is a drawer in the bedroom that may have had other blankets and the like, but it is empty.

"I'm more worried about what my bed was used for."

Taiyo: "I don't think Digimon do those kinds of things."

She looks to Renamon for a possible answer, but she just shrugs.

Renamon: "I'm afraid I don't know what you mean."

Taiyo: "Oh. It can't be that bad. Not my choice of swimwear and I can't see myself decorating my walls with pictures of bikinis."

"That IceDevimon character was putting off some pretty powerful rapist vibes, if you ask me. But I guess you're right, it's probably nothing, & in any case, I don't question what my drinking water or money used to be used for."

*Aroma notes that she can't see anything, & no one appears to notice her. She wonders if she was deep enough in the closet to find the passage to Narnia, but not enough to break through, & so now she's stuck in oblivion forever.*

It is a small kitchen as stated earlier. Sink, fridge, counters, cupboards, ect.

Taiyo: "I guess we should check upstairs for a bedroom. And more weird pictures."

A"Count me in, this is just a kitchen."

*Aroma comes out & Euryale leads them to the stairs.*

*Eve yells back down the stairs*

<Roatha, are you coming?>

Taiyo shines her light as they go up the stairs, mire bathing suit pictures along the wall are scattered about.

At the top is four doors. One at the end of the wall, straight ahead. Two are side by side, not too far ahead and the last door is across from the door at the end.

"What?"

*Roatha has not left the bedroom at any point.*

*Euryale stares in revulsion at the pictures as Aroma approaches the 2 doors & opens them, shining her light into each in turn.*

<Oh nevermind.>

*Eve takes off her shoes, then sits on the right side of the bed. She puts a pillow in the center on the bed*

One door opens up to a bathroom while the other opens up to a spare bedroom/storage room. The walls that don't have a number of boxes stacked against them are bare.

Taiyo: "Someone has a lot of stuff for such a small house."

E"This is creeping me out more & more. Are you sure we can't just find a different house?"

*Meanwhile, Aroma goes to peek into one of the boxes, or several, if they happen to be open.*

*Roatha shrugs, taking off his own shoes & flopping down on his side.*

There are more pictures. Some featuring tankinis, others bikinis, and even some shorts.

Taiyo: "I guess, if you really want to."

She rubs her eyes.

Taiyo: "I'd kind of like to go to bed as soon as possible though. There's just two more doors left. If they're any weirder then we'll try another house, okay?"

*Terriermon flops down on the pillow in between, curling up into a ball*

<Well, goodnight team!>

*He soon falls asleep. Eve stares at the ceiling, unable to fall asleep*

*Aroma turns around.*

A"It's more pictures of swimsuits."

E"Ehh...alright."

*Guilmon tugs at her shirt. She looks down.*

G<We're hungry.>

E"Oh, that's right, you weren't in the shack with the rest of us."

A"I found the kitchen downstairs. I could see if I can find them something to eat, if you'd like."

E"Guilmon's a meat eater."

*Aroma turns red.*

A"That's really not an issue, I assure you."
