My need for background noise while I'm doing statistics & shitty connection leads me to some weird places:

I'm interpreting this as what I am listening to at the moment. Which should be obvious, by the fact that there aren't 7 versions of One Winged Angel in my posts.

I am, by the way, refering the original, orchestral, metal (FFVII Advent Children) and piano versions of it.

Original midi version.
Orchestral version of the original.
Advent One Winged Angel.
Advent One Winged Angel complete.
"The World's Enemy," Crisis Core remix.
Kingdom Hearts version.

There are only 6 truly official versions. There's never been a piano variant used in any media.

Pretty sure there is a Black Mages version of it, but I'm not sure how 'official' that is. Neo wrote a fucking book on it though.

The "Black Mages version" IS Advent One Winged Angel/Complete. It is the only Black Mages "remix" that is actually a completely different song--the lyrics for One Winged Angel & Advent One Winged Angel are different.

Sinatra, Acid Bossa Remix, Jungle Mix, Megumi Hayashibara's rendition, Utada Hiroka's rendition, pretty much every version from Neon Genesis Evangelion OST 1-3.

And that doesn't cover even half of the currently existing versions.

Interesting. But I'll have a look at the album I got that's some kind of piano version of the FFVII music once I get access to the hard drive it's stored on/in/at.

I might post something I like and listen to once I feel up to the task of translating and explaning the song.

There were piano versions of things on the AC album. Probably what you're thinking of, but OWA wasn't one of them. I think it was Those Who Fight, or Tifa's Theme.

There was Those Who Fight. I believe Those Who Fight Further was remixed for the Bahamut Sin fight, but I don't recall whether or not it was piano. Tifa's theme has always been piano. Aerith's theme.
