Taiyo: "Can we really become mermaids? And a merkitty?"

*Artexi doesn't say anything and follows Nero*

T"Oh. Well, don't worry about that. We're leaving in just a minute."

*The elevator dings & opens up on Noctis, with Nero & Artexi standing near the door & looking back at them.*

R"...Hey."

T"...Hello."

L"But hold on, let's get some information out of these guys first."

*Lilith pushes her button & the armor appears on her in a flash. While a pirate stirs, she steps on his chest & holds the Keyblade in his face.*

E"Whoa, cool...."

L"Who sent you."

<I--I don't know! Most of us were mercenaries, we were hired by the crew of the Black Pearl!>

Mortal also donned her armor because Lilith did it for some reason, and crouched near the pirate, "What exactly can you tell us about the Black Pearl, and her crew?" She figured the Black Pearl would have to be a boat, considering they were pirates.

Taiyo: "I'd rather be a mermaid."

Azuma: "Ejected from the building most likely."

Monu:<What were you hired for?>

*He bends down near Lilith and Mortal. Safian starts circling the group of pirates, a low growl emanating from her*

*Artexi crosses her arms*

<They're anchored in Port Royal. The Captain is Jack Sparrow &-->

*He looks at Safian.*

<--& his first mate is Hector Barbossa. They hired some extra muscle to capture Prince Eric. That's all anyone really knows!>

T"Uh, yes, I--I had to go to the bathroom."

*Nero points to a sign in the corner of the lobby.*

T"I, uh, didn't see it?"

Monu:<Capturing a prince seems like an incredibly risky task. I suppose we'll have to go to Port Royal.>

Taiyo looks disappointed.

Taiyo: "I wanted to be a mermaid."

Azuma: "The rest of us just got roped in for the ride."

"Jack Sparrow, and Hector Barbosa," Mortal thought for a second, "What would they want with the prince? Certainly there are easier ways to get money than a ransom."

Noct turned towards Nero, "I thought we were going."

N"I was just waiting for you. You coming, Roatha?"

R"Well...we were just saying that we could cover more ground if we split up &--"

N"I thought as much."

R"Wait!"

*Nero heads out the door. Roatha reaches after him, but soon he's out of sight.*

L"I don't know. I think it's best if we split up into 2 groups. Taiyo, Mortal, since you seem to have taken to Euryale, you can go to Atlantica. The rest of us will go into town, see what we can find out about this 'Black Pearl.'"

*Safian looks sad that she has to leave Mortal, but is happy she doesn't have to get wet. Monu looks from Mortal to Taiyo, then laughs, a twinkle in his eye*

Monu:<I'm sure they'll enjoy this mission.>

*Artexi follows Nero*

Noct had already began heading out when Nero said he was waiting for her.

Mortal nods at Lilith's order, "Alright then. We'll get on it." She then waved at Safian, "Take care." She had turned to look at Euryale to ask her to lead the way, but stopped and turned back to Lilith, "Wait, how are we supposed to disguise ourselves?"

L"The basic idea of transformation magic is to infuse yourself with an element & use that element to re-mold your body. Taiyo would probably be the best person to cast the spell. Euryale, if you could tell her everything that you know about mermaid anatomy, that'd be great."

E"Uh...okay...?"

*She pulls herself back up onto the rock, "siting" on it. She points to some flaps on the side of her tail.*

E"These are my gills, they allow me to breathe underwater. So they're kind of important. They also filter water out of my lungs, so I can breathe that way."

*Walking down the street, Noctis most likely recognizes the place.*

R"Well, that's just great. What do we do now?"

T"There used to be a Keyblade Master in this general area. But Mother lost contact with her. If this is the right world, we could go look for her."

Noct furrowed her brow, and scowled deeper from under her hood as she looked around, "Great..."

Mortal takes a step closer to inspect what she is talking about. Taiyo might be the one casting the spell, but she was pretty interested.

Safian:<There are so many ways this could go wrong...>

*Safian covers her eyes with a paw*

*Artexi falls back to walk with Noctis*

<Do you know this area?>

Taiyo bites her lip as she looks Euryale up and down then shakes her head.

Taiyo: "So I have to make a tail with working gills? That sounds easy enough."

So she sets to conjuring up the transformation spell, however she'd do that.

Azuma: "Any way of tracking this person down? I doubt we can just shine the Keyblade Signal and expect them to come running."

*Lilith walks over, dismissing her Keyblade & armor.*

L"For starters, you might want to listen to Euryale's whole story. You'll need to know as much as possible, if this is going to work. The good news is, these spells are not normally dangerous."

E"Okay, well...my spine continues down to around my fin, with thick muscles linking the vertebrae, going off in several different directions...."

*She points to various spots on her tail, then reaches up near her waist.*

E"And this is--"

L"N-n-n-n-no, I don't think we need to know that part!"

*She resummons her Keyblade, holding it in front of her. She then moves it over her legs.*

L"Just let the Keyblade guide you. Focus the water through it, let it cover your body, & then will it to take the form you want. Now, you try."

T"Good, old fashioned detective work. First, we have to figure out where we are."

*She & Roatha head out. Looking around outside, Roatha notices a bus stop. He runs off towards it, Thiera looking on in confusion.*

R"Wait right here!"

*He grabs a pamphlet of sorts from a container mounted to the sign & heads back.*

R"Says we're on 'Manhattan Island' in 'New York City.'"

*Nothing is really going on with Nero, so he slows down to walk with Noctis & Artexi.*

Taiyo: "I think that part's important."

Anyway, she does as Lilith had instructed.

Azuma: "Does is mention gargoyles and random castles?"

"Yeah," Noctis said, "This is New York City. This is my home." She let out a soft chuckle, "Id say I don't remember gargoyles being here when I left, but that is a lie in a number of ways."

Mortal tries not to make a big fuss about merginas, but she couldn't help but chuckle at Lilith's reaction.

*The water forms a sheath over Taiyo's legs & glows. Suddenly, she falls over as her lower half is replaced with some kind of tail.*

R"'Fraid not."

T"But I'm pretty sure this is the right place."

R"So do you know any information about this Keyblade Master? Name, address, appearance, anything?"

T"Dawn Talea. Honestly, Roatha, there aren't that many to remember."

*She places her hands on her hips.*

R"Right, right. So, if we can just find a phone book, or something, we should be able to track her down."

T"What's a phone book?"

Monu:<Good job!>

*Safian uncovers her eyes*

"Yeah," Noct said, "Follow me, just don't expect anything healthy."

Mortal looked at Taiyo, "Wow, cool. Do me next."

Taiyo: "Owie..."

Recouperating from falling on her face, Taiyo rolls over into some kind of sitting position and takes a look at her blue fish tail where her legs once were.

Taiyo: "It's so pretty."

Finally realizing there's someone else to fishify, Taiyo repeats the process with Mortal.

Azuma: "It's a book of phones."

He looks around to see no one appreciating his joke.

Azuma: "A book woth names and addresses in it."

OOC: "Do me next, Taiyo!"

N"Uh, okay, I guess...."

*He follows.*

*Lilith turns to Monu & Safian.*

L"We'll need to stick to the shadows until we get to Port Royal, & find an entrance we can sneak through. After that, we'll want to stick to the back alleys."

R"I'll explain it later. If we can find a phone booth, I'm sure we can find one."

T"What's a phone booth?"

R"Okay, I can see that we're not going to get anywhere until I address this. If you guys can go find one, we'll just follow you."
