Gabe tries to get on top of the cop, when she sees Mortal, "Mortal?!"

Mortal, not having time for any of this, pries off the cop's helmet while he is wrestling with Gabe, and cracks him over the head with it.

Noctis nods, "Don't do anything reckless." With that, she is off down the hall as well.

*He's unconscious. Everyone eventually catches up.*

E"We gotta go."

Kali<We know for a fact that her family is involved with the Triads.>

"I'm guessing the front door is out of the question," Noctis said.

"I don't know that it's a good idea to lose another car. Maybe, if 1 or 2 of us creates a distraction, we'll be able to get back to it. Of course, they'll need to be able to easily get away on foot, & avoid the cops until they can make their way back."

*She opens the window & climbs onto the fire escape. They can hear the footsteps approaching the broken doorway.*

"Uh, maybe this is a bad time, but what exactly is going on?" Gabe asked.

"I'll explain later," Mortal said, confirming that it was indeed a bad time, "I'll be the distraction."

"But how will you get away from the metalbenders?" Noct asked.

"I'll think of something."

"No, if you don't know, then it should be me. I can get around with the use of my cables."

<The bad side of her family is.>

"Are you sure you'll be able to do it?" Mortal asked, "They were giving you trouble before, I don't want you to push yourself too far."

"Well, someone needs to make a decision soon," Noctis said, "We don't have all day."

*Euryale holds her hand out to her side, & the footsteps are replaced by slow creaking noises.*

E"I'll do what I have to do. We need to get out of here, quickly, before they catch up with us."

*Outside of the cells, they can hear guards screaming, clanging & crashing of metal, & even an explosion.*

"That isn't any more reassuring than what I said," Mortal replied.

Noct began looking for a way out.

All four of them exchanged glances and waited, those closest to the door edging away from it.

<To my knowledge, Astarte and her father never associated with that side of the family.>

*Tirea looks up, staring at the door to her cell*

*Euryale stares at Noctis from the FIRE ESCAPE that she's standing on, like the latter is an idiot for not seeing the former standing on the FIRE ESCAPE right in front of her.*

E"It can't be helped. You all go first, you'll need the head start."

*The door swings open, revealing Roatha with some stolen keys. Behind him, they can see a wave of water roll over some cops, knocking them over the railing.*

R"Come on, we have to get Tirea & then get out of here!"

OOC: I take it I should start paying more attention to these posts...

"But--" Mortal was cut off by Gabe grabbing her arm.

"C'mon, we have to go," Gabe said.

And so they did, heading down the fire escape.

*As they're running, Euryale attaches a cable to the next building & swings on top of it, where she looses a block & hurls it at a police car, smashing the windshield. There's some shouting, & they follow up the side of the building. Once she sees that her friends are clear, she rips off a large section of the fire escape.*

Kali<Good to hear. I hope you'll be this cooperative throughout the investigation. You're under arrest.>

*She waves her hand, extinguishing the flame. A peephole opens in the door.*

<Kali, jailbreak!>

Kali<Ugh. Of course there is.>

*Monu is shocked*

Astarte jumped up and ran over to Roatha, wrapping her arms around him and hugging him briefly before releasing. Hector and the others wearily rose to their feet, Hector speaking, "We three Benders invited?"

Mortal leads the group away from the direction Euryale is causing chaos in.

*And so they all pile into the getaway car. As they drive off, they can see Euryale dodging cables & big chunks of rock being thrown at her on the rooftops. As someone runs towards her, she cable-jumps over him, but abruptly falls into the alley below.*

*Off to the side, Senthose is sword fighting with a cop, Chief Beifong is sealing the exit, & Voland is freezing the ground under Senthose's opponent.*

Senthose<Hey! We don't have time for you to kiddle your fadiddles!>

Beifong<What does that even mean?>

Voland<That's just it, nobody knows.>

Kali<You heard me. I strongly recommend striking a plea bargain. But I have more important things to do.>

Noctis continues to head home, causing Mortal to scream, "Didn't you see Euryale drop, we have to go and get her!"

"And defeat the whole purpose of being a distraction?" Noctis asked, "This is exactly what she signed up for. We'll just have to hope she makes it."

"That is bullshit," Mortal said, turning to look, and seriously considering just jumping out of the car to get her by herself.

<I don't know anything else.>

Astarte looked from Roatha to Hector and back, "They're--."
"We can do introductions later, for now we can help break out of this place," Hector said. "I'm Astarte's cousin, trust me."
"He is," Astarte said.

"Well, hold on, I have to let Tirea out."

*He heads to her cell & starts on the lock with the stolen keys. The cop slips. Senthose tries to run him through while he's on the ground, but Beifong grabs his weapon, stomps, & the floor around the cop rises up to trap him.*

*The Metalbender opens the door for Kali to pass through, then steps forward.*

Cop<You can tell it to the judge. Come with me.>

*Ven puts a hand on Mortal's shoulder.*

"I agree with Noct, but...we're supposed to reunite with her, once she's done being distracting. How are we supposed to do that?"

Mortal let out a sigh, deciding against jumping out of the car, "I suppose the only place that we know is safe would be the sewers."

"Um..." Gabe looked at Mortal quizzically.

"It is a long story, but, well, there is a kind of head quarters we have with Chief Beifong in the sewer," Mortal said, "You should all be out of harm's way there."
