Endgame

Astarte followed a couple of steps behind Roatha while Hector, Stefan and Eduj left the cell and looked around for cops.

*Monu stands up and follows the cop*

*Tirea jumps up and heads over to the door of her cell*

*Roatha gets it open.*

<Come on, we have to move!>

*Kali tries to open the door to the jail cells, but it won't budge.*

Kali<It's sealed. Help me.>

*She blasts a 2-fisted stream of fire at it, while he blasts it with a 2-fisted...palm thrust. The door buckles & then flies out, knocking Senthose over. Kali takes a look at the whole scene & races in, with short flame daggers.*

V"How far away is that?"

*Tirea runs out*

*Monu takes a look around*

<Roatha? Astarte?!>

"Well, it isn't that close actually," Mortal said, "It is by the hospital."

"So you did kidnap Zolt!" Gabe said.

"Is that what they told you? Well, I suppose it is true, but we had good reasons," Mortal said.

Astarte and Hector looked around for water that wasn't immediately being used by Voland or Senthose to grab. Stefan lifted his fists in front of his face, some flames rising off of them, but did not attack.

R"Kind of hard to explain. She's evil."

*They brought their own water, so those 2 can piss off, unless they want to use the sink or the toilet. Kali jumps over a water blade from Senthose, so Voland lifts his hand, turning the ice on the ground into spikes that shoot at her. She uses blasts of fire to melt them, & also push them away. Upon landing, she quickly disables Lin with an electrified fist, & ducks a slash from Senthose.*

Metalbender<Reinforcements! And someone get Kali's weapons!>

*He tries to cable up Monu & Roatha so that they can't interfere.*

V"That doesn't explain anything."

Stefan shot two jabs of fire at the Metalbender while Eduj dashed to intercept the cable going for Roatha, reaching out with both hands to grab it. Meanwhile Hector began pulling a stream of water from the closest sink.

*Monu gets out of the way, but really doesn't have anything else to do since he's not a metal bender. Tirea creates an ice shield to stop the cable that had been going towards him*

Tirea:<That makes so much sense.>

"There were corrupt cops everywhere and we needed to get him out of there, so we kidnapped him, fought our way out of the hospital, then followed a homeless person into the sewers," Mortal said.

"Uh..." Gabe asked, "'Homeless person'?"

"Yeah, and we followed him into the sewers."

*Ven stares at her for a while when someone in armor cables out of a narrow alley, leaps onto the roof of their vehicle, & stays there. The additional weight causes Noctis to swerve & take out a parking meter.*

*The cable smashes the shield, but is deflected onto the floor. Roatha was about to do something, but stopped when Eduj opted to get tied up instead, so Roatha changes the shape of his hand & fires a small arrow of flame. With 3 jabs of fire flying at him, his helmet is blown off & he hits the wall, but still isn't down. Since the sink is off, Hector gets a small amount of disgusting, sludgy water from the trap. Meanwhile, Voland hurls ice daggers at Kali, while Senthose expands his water into mist. Kali blows it all away by letting out a sweeping torrent of flame from her mouth, which the 2 run away from, recollecting water in their pouches. The seal on the door starts to dent, as though an invisible hand is bending it from outside.*

R"How do we get out of here?!"

Senthose<Kind of waiting on Lin to wake up & make a door!>

*Beifong raises herself up slightly on 1 fist, grimacing.*

Lin<Don't. call me that...you slime.>

*Monu runs over to Astarte*

<How did you get involved in all this?>

"Who is that?" Gabe asked, leaning away from the roof.

Mortal pokes her head out of the window to see.

"Now's not the time," Astarte said, hurrying to the sink and trying to turn it on and bring more water out, which both she and Hector would take from. Hector used his current water to make a pair of small ice daggers and fling them at the Metalbender. Stefan stood back, gathering more fire around his hands.

*The RCPD not being utterly retarded, after just short of a minute, the pipe stops working by some internal mechanism. The Metalbender collapses with a ton of stab wounds, but things go from bad to worse as Kali charges a lightning bolt on both hands & the door seal snaps completely in half, more cops pouring in.*

*Euryale waves at her, looking only slightly grimy from likely falling into garbage, then points at the door.*

Astarte, now clutching at a meagre amount of water, looked around the room hopelessly. Hector pulled his ice daggers back and backed up, shoulder to shoulder with Stefan. Meanwhile, Eduj tried to free himself from the downed cop's cables.

*Monu goes over to help Eduj, while Tirea looks around for any unused water to bend*

Mortal smiled, and opened the door for her, "Glad you could drop by."

*Euryale lowers herself in & shuts the door.*

E"Me too. Sorry about getting grime all over your car, Noct."

V"Where to now."

E"If you need to leave the city, Noct can probably get you all out on a boat. But Mortal & I have to go in to the tigerlion's den. I'm sure that the Chief plans to go to the station to confront Saikhan, & see what he knows about this. She'll need back-up."

*And so Kali shoots 2 lightning bolts at them. Roatha tries to redirect them, but it doesn't go so well. He's flung back into a wall while huge arcs of electricity randomly strike the floor, the ceiling, & some of the cops. Most of the Metalbenders back up.*

Kali<It's just a few little sparks! Keep going!>

*They do not, partly because it's so bright & loud that it's hard for them to tell what's going on. Beifong rises to her feet, pulling her trenchcoat out & draping it over her to give her at least a little protection. She runs to the back wall. Kali fulfills her promise, running forward & redirecting any lightning that comes towards her to the ground. Senthose & Voland fall back to the position of Astarte, Hector, Eduj, & Monu.*

*Both Tirea and Monu fall back even farther*

"Don't worry about it," Noct said, "I'm just glad you're safe."

"Perhaps it'd be best if I leave the city," Gabe said, "I don't think I'll be much help, I just got kind of beat up, by one cop to boot. You guys took on a building full."

Astarte ran to Roatha, her water glowing and reaching out towards him. Meanwhile, Hector looked sidelong at Senthose, "Think we can take her, 'boss man'?"

Tirea:<If you lend me some water I can help too.>

*Monu takes the bracelet off his arm and bends it into the form of a small knife*

Senthose<Of course. I have a plan.>

*He grabs Hector by the collar & throws him at Kali. She electrocutes him & throws him aside without thinking twice.*

Senthose<Now the rest of us flee.>

*And he & Voland do, to where Astarte is healing Roatha & Lin breaks through the wall in a few punches, then stretches the hole to the outside so that they can get through.*

Voland<That didn't stall her for very long.>

Senthose<That's okay, we have 2 more pieces of Lightning fodder.>

*Monu runs over to Roatha and Astarte*

Monu:<Roatha, do we need to carry you?>

*Tirea runs over to Lin, then waits for the others*
