Grimm did whatever was instructed of him.

When she got home Jin scrambled up and into her still open window, hoping that nobody had tried to check on her while she was gone. The door still seemed to be shut and locked.

Azuma: "Go down and kick someone in the head. Got it."

Deathstrike stands proped as if using his assault rifle to maintain his composure while Azuma teleports to the van and into the sunroof to be welcomed by Ravage swinging a stiletto at him.

Aroma should remember that Domino addict from the previous summer as this poor sod has the same decomposing spots on his skin and the smell to boot.

He's escorted to the medical wing where doctors begin to put his arm back into place. No anesthetic as ordered, a few people unnerved by the order.

*Aroma looks up.*

"Are you following me?"

*Then she shakes her head.*

"Never mind that, it's [number]! This looks like a Domino overdose. I'm not sure if there's anything I can do. It would help if I had--some kind of tissue, or napkin, or something!"

*Suspecting a trap, she sprouts a vine from the periscope, lashing at him. Should it connect, it will start spreading, linking the seeds together, & overall tying his ass up from head to toe.*

*Dr Tantus calls the number, passing Aroma a tissue from her purse*

Azuma teleports behind Ravage and kicks her in the back knocking her forward. Ravage recovers and spins around, stabbing at him so he teleports to the van's roof.

Deathstrike ditches the rifle and rolls to avoid the vine, crushing needles between him and the pavement. He recovers in a kneeling position, pair of pistols drawn and fires two shots at the rooftop the vine came from.

Meanwhile Ravage exits the van with a machine pistol, Azuma teleporting back to the roof where Thiera is when she starts spraying bullets around.

Deathstrike: "Ravage, get back in the van! This is not your objective."

Overdose nothing, the dude plain ol' dropped dead because that's what it does. And the smell is unbearable. Like rotting meat.

OOC: I'll give you this one because you didn't have Raptor seriously injure or kill Thiera, but don't get used to it.

Th"That should have paralyzed him! But I think I see another weakness!"

*She has the severed vine elongate & snake across the floor to bind Ravage's feet, lashes out with the part of the vine that's still connected to her parascope, & has the seeds & pollen strewn about the alley swirl & close in, all on Ravage.*

*Aroma covers her nose with one hand. Taking the napkin with the other, she checks his pulse. Since he's dead, I'm going to assume he doesn't have one.*

"I could start CPR, but I don't think it would mean anything. Even if they have some kind of anti-toxin for dominoes, this man is already in an advanced state of necrosis."

*Assuming someone picks up, Dr Tantus gives them their location and tells them what happened. Eve wanders up behind her*

The chromium vanadium holds, Deathstrike firing more shots at the rooftop while Ravage fires at the vine before drawing her stiletto and cutting at them.

A helicopter can be heard overhead, should Thiera take a look at it, she can see it's black with the Lightning Bolts logo on it.

He indeed is dead although the smell implies he could have been dead for awhile, but that just may be a combination of sweat and rot.

Assuming Kylie is still watching the tube, an update on the story says that Mutant Busters are moving in on the scene.

After being patched up and likely still hurting, Grimm is escorted to the high security ward of the facility where he meets Jack.

Jack: "Good news, Mr. Grimm. you'll no longer be answering to me. You're set to be recruited into a team led by Miranda Waller and whoever she puts in charge of field operations."

"I would like to be more optimistic, but if they put you in charge of a team I can't imagine they know what they're doing."

Jin let herself out of her room and went to the kitchen, hoping to avoid her parents. She found her mother in the living room watching TV, watching the live story.

OOC: REALLY don't like that the composition of this armor keeps changing....

*Presumably, Ravage's feet are tied. Much like when Deahstrike cut the vine, both parts of the vine just snake their way up her arm, wrapping around & closing her fingers. The pollen also groups together to become more vines, assisting in the effort to tie her up.*

Th"I don't like the look of that helicopter."

*Because of this, she releases spores from all of the plants clinging to her, obscuring her & Azuma from view. The periscope grows roots to anchor itself in the roof when she detaches it from her hand & stands up.*

Th"I'd like to move somewhere out of sight, but where I can still oversee the situation."

*Dr Tantus stands up and backs away*

Azuma: "That'd have to be a taller building. Looks like across the street is your best bet."

Deathstrike fires off a couple more shots in their direction while Ravage continues to struggle to get out of the vines.

On the helicoptor, four officers load up, ready to rapple down to the streets below. One in particular is armored from head to toe and carrying marginally less equipment only having a submachine gun, spare magazines, a knife, and a few grenades as well as curved spikes on his forearms.

???: "Target priority is Wilson and his accomplice. Do not engage the Mutants without provocation!"

Officers: "Sir, yes, sir!"

Presumably still on the freeway, a motorcycle with a cloud pattern painted on it pulls up alongside Luna. The driver is decked out in mostly white leather barring his pants and helmet and lifting his visor shows his almost supernatural blue eyes like someone jammed sapphires in his eye sockets.

???: "Going my way?"

Little late for that, but campus security or whatever does show up. One person doesn't even look like he's old enough to drink let alone be a wannabe mall cop. The other officer, an older man gags at the smell of the corpse.

Officer: "Jesus Christ, what the hell happened to this guy?"

William: "Looks like he died, sir."

Officer: "I can see and smell that, kid. I want to know why and why the real police weren't called."

Jack: "Our kind is only just recently gaining any form of recognition. It'll be awhile before anyone truly knows what they're doing when it comes to the subject. The idea it takes a Mutant to understand a Mutant is flawed as they're not all the same."

Grimm's escort opens a door to the room he'll be staying in.

Jack: "Case in point with your new roommate. Jared Ryder, calls himself Armstrong. Now play nice."

The officer pretty much shoves Grimm into the room and closes the door behind him. It's much more cell-like than his previous room with a pair of beds mounted to the wall in leiu of bunk beds, no windows, and entirely concrete. On the plus side, they do get a bathroom which amounts to a sink and toilet.

On the top bunk is some brown haired dude wearing a standard issue jumpsuit and slippers, flipping through a dirty magazine.

Ryder: "Heeeeey, buddy. Welcome to the Suicide Club."

"I'm sorry, I'm still pretty new with health stuff, so I didn't think about that."

"That will still leave us visible to the helicopter. I think we should enter one of the buildings. It would be best if there were a window facing the alleyway, but if not, I can still find a way around that."

"That depends...are you going to help Grapevine?"

Eve:<Do you want me to now?>

"Suicide club?" Grimm took a seat without saying 'hello'.

"Jesus, what's going on?" Jin asked without taking her eyes off the screen. Her mother didn't reply.

Azuma: "Let me see your telescope plant."

Lightning Bolt officers rapple from the helicopter, the three whose entire head isn't covered in armor, turn and duck when Deathstrike detonates explosives in the van.

???: "I don't know who that is. It's their opponent I'm interested in."

Officer: "Yes!"

William: "So uh...what happened here?"

Ryder: "Name I'm referring to the team we've been drafted on, hopefully it'll catch on."

He turns the magazine around, his eyes widening.

Ryder: "Hello, Ms. October. Anywho, we're apart of the Contingency Squad. An off the books team of various miscreants sent on missions that they may not survive."

*Dr Tantus calls the police and explains what's going on*

Eve:<We found him like this about 5 minutes or so ago.>

OOC: Repel.

"I am confused. This is a periscope."

*She points to the plant.*

"Do you want a periscope or a telescope?"

*She hops on board.*

"Tell me about this guy she's fighting."

"And what is it that you do, exactly?"

Azuma: "Whatever will let me see in one of those windows."

Deathstrike detonates the van and lobs a couple smoke grenades, one towards the approaching officers, three of which are ducking to protect their not fully armored heads from debris from the van and the other near Ravage.

???: "Big shot hired gun. Your friend had to have pissed someone off to get him after them. You wanna know about him before taking up the name Deathstrike? So do I."

With that he pushes his visor down and takes off.

The operator says a unit will be there as soon as possible also she can hear someone swearing in the background.

William: "You didn't touch him, did you?"

The reporter says that EMS are entering to cordone area after the SWAT team was unable to intercept Wilson.

Ryder: "Hell if I know. That little speel was all I was told to say in exchange for a recent skin mag."

"Not directly. I used a barrier to avoid contaminants when I checked for a pulse. Er, a napkin."

*Thiera grabs the periscope, retracting it. Some of the wood grows up her arm, & then across her torso, but when the periscope is a little over a foot long, she reshapes it to the form of a common handheld telescope, before passing it to him.*

"That's a long list of suspects! Raptor, someone with the Mutant Busters, Black Mask...!"

*Dr Tantus hangs up and puts away her phone*

"Hm," Grimm lay down and closed his eyes. "And what abnormalities do you possess?"

"This is the sort of thing you were lucky to avoid," Jin's mother scolded without looking away from the screen.

Azuma takes the telescope and becomes a peeping tom a few seconds before grabbing Thiera and teleporting. They are now inside a dingy-ass bedroom that smells funny and looks like it hadn't been cleaned in so long no one can remember the color of the carpets.

Down below when the smoke clears, where Ravage was is now a hole in the ground leading into the sewers and neither assailant is present.

???: "Raptor and his gang are nothing. They don't have the brains, money, or connections to hire this guy. And doing so would mean Raptor would be admitting to not being the strongest. The Tyranno Boys are still active because while Raptor was captured, he did more harm to those that encountered him than they did to him.

If any law enforcement agency could get a hold of him, they wouldn't be going through the effort of trying to catch him. It isn't the Mutant Busters that were dislatched to deal with him either on account of not being a Mutant.

I don't know about the Black Mask. Outside of manufacturing and distributing Dominos and some human trafficing, there's not much to go on."

Ryder: "You know those Stretch Armstrong toys from eons ago? That's where I got my other name from because I can stretch like a rubber band. If not for the nanobugs, I'd demonstrate, but at the same time I don't want to intimidate you with my anaconda. And the possibility of being indestructible. Spent three days in Croc's gut and came out with a few superficial wounds. Not my cup of tea. I'd have rather spent three days inside Rosebud if you catch my drift."

"People keep telling me that, yet I can't help but notice it took so long for anyone to stop him. Anyway, it could be an independent party within law enforcement, though that still makes Black Mask the most likely suspect--Grapevine & I caught the police covering up evidence of our fight with him. As you might guess, she's pretty determined to take him down."

*She starts trying to open the window.*
