More like informed given the lack of information on their end. Police show up and begin setting up a scene telling people to back off unless they can tell anyone what happened while forensics folks begin to rummage around for clues.

*Amanda gets out her phone and calls the taxi place*

Anyway, a cab has been dispatched to their location.

OOC: I'm gonna get a jolly when they find out that cab ride is for nothing.

V"In the shelter, we would probably euthanize it."

It's not long before the cab arrives, the driver being a black dude who if they get it will find out is also French which isn't exactly a big deal.

V"I could probably arrange to have it taken to the shelter. You want me to talk to your manager?"

L"So, do you, ah, citizens, need me to take you somewhere?"

A"No, I think I'm just gonna walk back to the pet store. I've missed all of my classes for today, & I have something important to tell Taiyo."

L"Something not concerning Grapevine?"

A"It's not about cops & robbers, no."

"Heard anything on the radio about that big shitstorm?" June asked the driver after they had presumably set off.

Taiyo: "No, that's okay."

The driver shakes his head and radios to dispatch that he's enroute to a location. The only noise being the comm radio should indicate the driver heard nothing over any other radio.

June settled back into her seat and turned away from the weirdly quiet taxi driver, "Five bucks says you roll your ankle within 10 minutes, Shoot Girl."

V"So...I guess you don't need me hanging around, then...."

*Aroma curtsies & then starts walking back. Specter finds an alley to disappear into.*

Emergency vehicles pass on their way to the mall. The cab driver indeed does not care because as a cab driver, he has heard and seen worse.

*I said she was coming back, so I'm going to assume that means she's back now.*

A"Hi again, Taiyo. Oh--hey, Ven."

V"Why do I feel like a 3rd wheel?"

A"Sorry. How are you?"

V"Well, I came because I was worried, so that."

A"Oh yeah...I'm sorry I worried you, but everyone's fine now."

*Ven points at Eve.*
