Golden Age: Ruin

~Timeskips, Everywhere!~

*They arrive on a small, sandy beach on a chilly island of grass, forest, & mountains. Nearby is a makeshift castle, out of which a man & a woman walk out. The man has dark skin & no hair, with Roman robes & a crown like Arthur's. The woman is pale, with long fingers, blue eyes, flowing blond hair, & endowment. Both beings are quite tall & have pointy ears. At their arrival, the wind seems to whisper, "Oberon & Titania, King & Queen of the Fay."*

Oberon<Who are you & why have you come to Avalon?>

Kelphy: <We--This is His Majesty, King Arthur Pendragon of Camelot. We have come to stop a group of evil men and creatures that are soon to attack this land.>

*She bows. Ari hides behind Lilith cause their ears are freaking him out to no end.*

Lune bows as well and keeps his head bowed and remains quiet out of respect.

Oberon<We need no pity from humans, nor do we fear them. Now leave this place at once.>

Arthur<With all due respect, I cannot. If Mordred breaks through your defenses, he could devestate the entire world. This is far too great of a price to pay for your jilted pride, Lord Oberon.>

*Oberon's eyes literally light up with fire.*

L"Oh...shit, dude...."

OOC: "Dude" was very widely used back then, you know.

*Kelphy walks in between Arthur and Oberon, staring at the latter*

Kelphy: <Mordred, Seraph and Senthose, they are being aided by Djinn. They have killed many people, and if they get here, many more will perish. Please, allow us to stay and stop them. Please.>

*At this point Ari just stretches his neck around Lilith's torso to look into her eyes 'cause she said a bad word.*

Lune clenches his sword hand again. "Arthur, enough" Lune raises his head. "This isn't about us protecting them. This is about us needing them. Swallow your damn pride and ask them to help us because without ether divine intervention or a strong ally we're dead. All of us are. The whole world might be. As I told Lancelot before, Arthur, the fae aren't a people to be trifled with. The fae are a force more powerful than anything we alone could muster with half as much time as it would take form them to gather. So save your proud monarch routine for the coming battle and show the fae the respect they deserve, especially their royalty."

Arthur<Oberon does not grant help to those who seek it.>

*Titania puts a hand on Oberon's shoulder.*

Titania<Enough. Let this matter wait to be settled. They draw nearer as the sun descends.>

*Sure enough, it was sunset. In the distance they came from, they could see more lights dazzling the surface of the water than can be explained by the sun.*

Green Knight<Mordred & his Djinn, no doubt.>

Arthur<And that bastard Seraph.>

*Arthur draws his sword. Oberon waves his hand, causing an immense wave to form & push towards the advancing Djinn. The night goes dark as the waves subside.*

Oberon<There. Your worries are over, your enemy no more. Now leave.>

*Just then, the ground starts to rumble.*

"Merde" Lune swears, "This isn't over yet."

*Ari falls on his butt, his sword sliding away from him. He holds a hand out and it flies back to his hand, Kelphy holding his free hand and helping him back up*

Kelphy: <Oh, no...>

*The makeshift castle breaks apart as Mordred, Senthose, & Seraph rises over them all, atop a cliff face. The sun sets & the full moon rises, & the Djinn streak out of the water behind them, vitrifying the sand on contact. Titania holds up a hand, causing it to storm rain & hail over them & Oberon guides twin tornadoes through their ranks, but it barely seems to slow them down.*

"Kelphy, the diary! See if there's a way to increase their magic NOW!"

Kelphy: <...All right!>

*She opens the diary and holds it on her left hand, holding her right hand out. A large wave springs out of the sand, bursting over the Djinn. Ari steps forward, holding his sword*

In my studies, I have found that magic has a curious nature: It cannot create or destroy. Whenever it seems to do this, it is merely drawing essence from elsewhere. Perhaps this is why I haven't seen significant rise in my magic for many years now? Maybe I've simply reached the limit of what I can draw from.

*A wheel-like Djinn covered in flaming eyes wraps around Titania, followed by 3 more. Oberon turns to face her, when several of the Djinn leap on top of him, creating an immense pillar of fire. Seraph jumps down from above, landing before them.*

<Why do you all look so upset? LOSE SOMETHING ON THE WAY HERE?!>

*He lobs a blast of fire at Kelphy, which hits the diary & destroys it instantly. At this point, he begins laughing, skipping away from Arthur when he tries to attack.*

Kelphy: <No!!!>

*She clenches her firsts and runs towards Seraph, a large whirpool rising around him*

Kelphy: <You will never be half the wizard Master Merlin was!>

*Ari runs towards Oberon and rams his sword into the wheels*

Lune draws his swords, two long swords this time. They were finely made, "DIE YOU FUCKING SHITTY OLD BASTARD!!" and rushes Seraph.

*Where it impacts the eye, the monster screeches & starts shooting him full of flaming arrows. Titania breaks the injured wheel & grabs another, slowly destroying it. Seraph stops the whirlpool by turning it into rock as Senthose appears out of goddamn nowhere, blocking Lune's attack with a black sword resembling Lilith's.*

Seraph<You just can't stand the fact that your mentor was an old hack! Come on, kid. Come with me & I'll teach you some REAL magic!>

*Arthur runs towards the cliff face, deflecting arrows of flame that Mordred generates & flings at him. Oberon finally frees himself, binding the Djinn who attacked him with golden chains.*

Oberon<Interesting creatures, these...what are they, again?>

*Adding to the chaos, Roatha shows up out of fucking nowhere.*

"Hey, what did I miss?"

Kelphy: <...I will not allow you to talk about Master Merlin like that!>

*She runs forward holding her hand out until she's really close to Seraph. At the last second, she raises her other hand and leaps forward, punching at his face with all of her strenght. Ari holds the sword up in front of his face as he feels an arrow graze his right leg and another one stab into his left shoulder. He lets out a groan.*

Lune smiles and breaks away from the block before approaching from another angle, a right feint and he moves inside Senthose's guard for an abdominal slash with his right sword.

*A rock juts up beneath her, slamming into her chest & knocking the wind out of her. As she falls on the floor, he steps on her head, grinding it into the mud.*

<USELESS! OLD! HACK!>

*The lacerated skin immediately begins weaving itself back together as Lilith dashes forward, clashing blades with him. Thiera glances upward & does a quick double-take.*

T"Roatha, can you cover me? I want to try something."

R"Umm...sure."

*She runs behind a rock & starts staring at the sky, muttering, as Roatha draws his sword & stands watch. Arthur slashes at the cliff face, demolishing it. Mordred is left with no choice but to jump down & face him. Titania finally breaks free as Gallahad & the Green Knight rush to Kelphy's aid. Oberon is snapping his fingers lik castanets, causing Djinn after Djinn to just extinguish, but he's covered in burns, & they're quickly overwhelming him.*

"Well that's new" Lune moves back to his original target and charges with Gallahad and the Green Knight to take down Seraph.

Kelphy: <No matter how much power you obtain... You will never be as good a wizard as Master Merlin. ...Envying him won't tell you what you are lacking... Nor will killing. It's about seeking knowledge through hard work... and having a good heart.>

*She clenches her right fist in the mud and produces ultrasonic waves that blast mud all over. She rolls aside and gets back up, laying her right hand on his chest*

Kelphy: <Water makes up for 65% of the human body.>

*She once again produces ultrasonic waves, this time inside his body. Ari drags himself over to the Djinn and slashes at the nearest one*

*Seraph steps back, bleeding profusely. The Green Knight takes the opportunity to plunge his hand in the mud, causing a great many vines to spring forth & bind Seraph. Mordred disappears from Arthur, reappearing at his side. About 20 Seraphim stream over him, colliding with Arthur & tearing at his armor viciously. He takes the opportunity to decapitate the Green Knight & then proceeds to go blow-to-blow with Gallahad. Seraph is still laughing at Kelphy.*

<That's it...one more good shot, that's all it takes. Think you can do it, whelp?>

*Senthose quickly overpowers Lilith & then appears at her side. She tries to block, but he palms her in the chest, sending her flying into the air. He then disappears & Lilith falls back to the ground, covered in lacerations. He reappears, stepping on her sword arm. As she screams, he readies the blade over her head. Oberon falls, turning into leaves, wind, & water. Titania, seeing this, goes wide-eyed & produces a blast of sheer energy that destroys most of the remaining Djinn.*

Lune sees Mordred and spins on his heels. He was the one who started this. He was the instigator. Lune goes after Mordred. "MOOOOOOOORDREEEEEED!!" before Mordred could slash Gallahad again Lune is in the knight's stead locking blades with Mordred. "Gallahad, go help Arthur, Mordred... is mine now" to drive this point home he spits in the usurper's face. "Try your hand at taking me on bastard."

*She holds her hands out towards him, wincing*

Kelphy: <...You... You have killed so many people...>

*She can't seem to be able to attack, tears swinging at the corner of their eyes. That same moment, Ari sees the confused look on Malegant's eyes as he was being murdered by Mordred, Tom's serene expression as he was being carried by Arthur after being killed, and Seraph's laughter upon killing Merlin. He glances at Lilith and leaps forward, ramming his sword into Seraph's back*

Seraph<People aren't worth dirt.>

*Blood starts pouring out of Ari's stomach & back as the Seraph in the vines turns out to be a hunk of wood & straw.*

Seraph<The Voodoo Doll Spell. Magic that hack could never dream of.>

*He then pumps Ari full of lightning all Emperor Palpatine style, which throws him into the ocean. Afterwards, he calmly turns back to Kelphy, grinning broadly, still dripping with blood from his many wounds.*

Seraph<Who's next?>

*Gallahad runs to Arthur as Mordred roars, swinging with both arms, although it feels like he's swinging with 10 or more. Titania cleans up the Djinn & also goes to help Arthur. Roatha stabs Senthose in the back, but of course, he kicks him backwards & starts to regenerate.*

R"I hope you're almost done...."

*Thiera nods, but keeps muttering.*
