*She conjures a sphere of highly compressed water and shoots it at one of the soldiers*

L"I don't know. Mordred might have the power to turn invisible or teleport or something. It's too hard to say."

T"The winds say he went back to Camelot. Anyway, we can't move her until we stop the bleeding. After that, we have to take her back to Camelot. I couldn't possibly fix the damage to her organs. Hold her down."

*Thiera slips on a glove & removes some kind of leaf from her pocket. Crushing it, she smears it around the gaping wound. This results in instant, but short-lasting agony.*

T"All I could do was kill the blood vessels so they wouldn't leak anymore. Now we have to move."

*After slaying the traitor knight, Lancelot polevaults up to the gallows. Slinging Guinevere over his shoulder, he steals a Roman shield & points his spear at the phalanx warriors.*

Lancelot<Come at me all at once. Mayhap you'll knick my armor.>

"Whatever it takes. Is it safe for me to carry her on my back?"

*Marcus tries to ignore Rayna's short screams of pain as he comes over and grabs her arm ready to hoist her up.*

"I like his style" Sophia comments.

"Do you need some alone time?" Lune retorts as he smashes his armored elbow into the jaw of one of the guards.

T"It should be. We're not too far from Castle Pendragon."

OOC: Railroading.

*When they enter the palace, they find it completely empty, except for a man with a dishevelled mane of purple hair & golden eyes in a purple toga standing on a balcony above them. He grips the railing with 1 jewelry-laden hand, looking down at them all with a sly grin.*

Lucian<You are tresspassing on Imperial Property. That's an act of war, Knights of Camelot. But I'm in a forgiving mood. You see, before long, Camelot will just be another province of my empire. Those 2 have already departed. The Frankish army won't be able to stand up to my own. Forget a ragtag band of surviving knights.>

Kelphy: <You can't do that! (Can he do that?)>

*She stares blankly at him*

*Marcus hoists Rayna up onto his back. She lets out a whimper of pain but is too exhausted now to scream.*

"Let's get going."

"That's really a matter of opinion, can you state with absolute certainty that you will win? Do you have some flawless guarantee that what ever force will ensure your victory won't just stab you in the back?"

Lucian<You believe I should fear Seraph, Senthose, & Mordred? They are but 3 malcontented former knights, while I am a Living God. What do -I- posibly have to fear from the likes of them?>

*When they start to near Camelot, they can see that the town about the castle is in flames. Strange beings of light are moving about within it, shearing solid stone & causing buildings to disappear nigh instantaneously. Mordred stands on a nearby outcropping & raises his sword. Out of it shoots an arrow of shadow, which pierces the sky, seemingly tearing a hole in it. Before long, it stretches, the entire scene cast into unnatural, pitch-black night, from horizon to horizon.*

"Even gods will fall in the face of ill planning."

Kelphy: <My uncle will never let you take over Camelot!>

*She holds her hands out towards him*

Ari: [The city...]

*The looks at Lilith*

Ari: <Master...?>

*Duon merely shrugs and points his sword at Lucian.*

Duon: <You're mad.>

Lucian<Recognize how insignificant you are...and begone.>

*He walks through a doorway behind him as dozens of phalanx warriors pour into the room.*

L"We still have a chance if we get to Merlin or Arthur before Mordred does."

*Lilith runs down the hill towards the flaming city. Thiera follows her.*

*Kelphy steps back*

Kelphy: <What are we going to do?>

*Ari runs down after them*

"Fight of course, and no pulling punches this time" both rapier and longsword are unsheathed by Lune and Sophia swings her polearm weapon into an offensive position, ready for the coming assault.

*The Phalanx Warriors don't move.*

*In the city, one of the fires leaps from the building, taking on a vaguely humanoid appearance & charging at them. Lilith & Thiera roll out of the way.*

L"Mordred must be using rare foreign monsters. But how did he get them?"

*Duon takes out his broadsword and infuses it with darkness.*

Duon: <Feel the wrath of the void!>

*He slashes at a few of the Phalanx Warriors*

*Kelphy holds her hands out, causing two water bursts among the soldiers*

*Ari stumbles out of the way, falling on his face. He gets up and stares at Lilith, rubbing his nose*

Lune slashes at the soldiers whilst Sophia attacks them were her polearm.

*They don't even budge. They use their shields to block blows while stabbing at anyone who gets near them.*

*Lilith slashes at it a few times, but her attacks go right through. The creature slaps her, leaving a burn mark on her cheek.*

L"I can't hurt it. Ow! But it doesn't share the same handicap, let's run!"

*She grabs Thiera & Ari, running through the streets. When they get to the palace, they find it locked, but see Roatha sawing through a grate in the moat.*

OOC: So we're fucked... fantastic.

Lune and Sophia dodge the retaliatory blows.

OOC: No, you're idiots. What in the Hell makes you think you're supposed to attack them?

OOC: Because its that or wait? And waiting means being thrown in a prison for the rest of the game?

OOC: It's called "leaving."

OOC: Implying that's not what I was going to do the moment they showed up.

Kelphy: <We can't defeat them, we're going to end up getting hurt..>
