"Wait! Euryale!"

*Taiyo runs after her.*

"Did it involve a wrecking ball and a palace?"

Azuma:<Yeah, how'd you know?>

"I had the same one."

Azuma:<That's unsettling.>

"Uh-huh."

*Mimiru goes back to sleep, Azuma just stares at the ceiling.*

[I don't like this place.]

Aiden also runs after her, "Wait... Euryale!" He runs and runs till he catches her and between breaths he asks, "Well... maybe you can... tell us... what happened... to you... that you ended up... in modern times?"

*Allina throws his stuff on the sand and shoves him aside, waving at the girl*

Allina: <Hi there! So... what's up with water? Oooh, are there sharks or something? I wanna see one! I wanna buy one!>

???<Something like that.>

Vendor<Hotdogs, get your hotdogs here!>

*When they look back, the woman's gone.*

"Bah. She's just playing hard to get."

*She dumps some old-looking coins on a noodle stand. The spikey-haired employee stares at them like "what the fuck is this shit?"*

*When they go back to sleep, Mimiru has dreams about beating people up while Azuma has dreams about zombies trying to eat him.*

Allina: <Weird ...So, can we get swimmin' already?>

*Taiyo looks at the coins*

"I think we will."

*She takes out her wallet and opens it up looking inside.*

"Did anyone bother exchanging Australian money for China bucks?"

"I will Euryale" Aiden smiles. "I did Taiyo."

"Well, my sisters & I lived for thousands of years after being cursed. The reason Medusa's head still had power is because she wasn't dead. You have to destroy a monster's head to be absolutely sure, sometimes. My memory goes blank after that, but apparently I was frozen like a statue for a long time after that. Then someone finally finished the job. The curse was lifted, & I was turned back to normal. Only in this case, 'normal' meant restrained & blindfolded somewhere. I was fed something that tasted a lot like a powdered brick & suddenly I stopped speeking Greek. Eventually, I got to this Eengliiish stuff, & when I woke up the next day, I was in some school being told I was just confused after a...curr accident, or something."

*She hurriedly crams noodles in her mouth after getting all of that out.*

"Didn't you JUST voice concern that there might be sharks in there? Meh. Do whatever you want."

*He flops down on a towel, puts sunglasses on, & begins applying sunscreen.*

*Taiyo stares at her like "Did I just hear that?"*

"Powdered brick?"

"That makes no sense... the part about feeding you something to get you to speak English. Never heard of something in all the ancient myths and legends about that. Medusa's head was broken, I was there right after it happened. Nero, Allina, Azuma, and Mimiru were responsible" he chowed down on some noodles before speaking again.

"It would take a lot of money to transport you from Greece to Australia. Undetected and with no questions asked. It would always require a purpose, a motive. Ms. Psyche had been funding the school, donations and what not. This also included what they thought, and what did indeed turn out to be, the head of Medusa. I'll make some phone calls back to the UK and see if my people can dig up some info on Ms. Psyche."

Allina: <I didn't voice concern. If there ARE sharks, I wanna see them.>

*She runs off towards the water*

[It feels as though right now, in some remote and possibly asian country of the world, someone's trying to look smarter than they really are.]

*When she gets out to the water, she's quickly pulled out to see by a rip tide. She ends up floating precariously in very deep water, the tide still pulling her out, when Nero unexpectedly goes all Baywatch & dives in, rapidly swimming after her.*

"I never said I didn't believe you. It's just a lot to take in all at once."

Allina: <The hell!? ...Help!>

*She tries and swim back to shore*

"When one reads up on myths they tend to learn when to see the truth in the them. Also I'm pagan so I believe in them anyway."

"Yeah, well...so you say this Thiera Psyche was behind this? Odd. She seemed like such a nice lady."

Allina: <What kind of stupid question is that!? I almost died!>

"She's a candidate for being behind it. She was suspicious but it could be anyone else with enough money to pull it off..." he trailed off.

"Almost? Then you're fine."

*He starts swimming them sideways.*

"With all that's gone on recently, I'm thinking this was more than just coincidence."

Azuma:<Oh, fuck!>

*Azuma's eyes snap open as some red fruity smelling liquid oozes from his nose. Mimiru is sitting on his chest wearing a tank top and flannel shorts holding a squirt bottle with some red liquid inside of it.*

Azuma:<Even in a foreign country, you still choose to wake me up by squirting Kool-Aid up my nose!>

"I was thinking about switching things up and squirting it in your ear, but you need to be able to hear."

Azuma:<What do you want?>

"I wanna see Red Square."

Azuma:<Fine, now get the hell off me.>

*Struggling a bit, he manages to roll over tossing Mimiru off followed by throwing the blankets at her before crawling out of bed wearing the same clothes he was wearing the day before.*

Allina: <You think the wave was more than a coincidence. Oh. My. God. It's a freaking conspiracy. Look! More waves! Run for your lives! Or swim.>

*At the square, they find a great deal of hustle & bustle. Standing at a podium is an obscenely old guy with a long beard, wearing a pinstripe suit. Beside him is a young woman. The man is making a speech & people are talking about him & the woman. Unfortunately, they're all speaking in Russian.*

*Nero sighs impatiently.*

"Listen. We kill a weird snake monster. Ms. Psyche just HAPPENS to be there & just HAPPENS to award us with what basically amounts to cheap flight tickets. Then we just HAPPEN to be warned by a vanishing mystery lady about a riptide, which isn't something you can really see from the beach. I think there's a larger game being played here, something we should look into tonight."

*By this point, the riptide has lost its energy, & Nero swims them inland.*
