Allina: <I'm going to the pyramid!>

"Sure lets split up gang, that's sure to turn out well. I'm half expecting Taiyo to say "Jinkies" at this point anyway" Lune snarks.

Ren and Isaac try hard not to laugh.

R"Since he thinks it's a bad idea, I'm all for it."

N"Maybe it IS a good idea. I mean, we shouldn't just walk right up to the guy. If one group finds him, then maybe the other group can sneak up on him."

Ari: <"... I haven't tried reading it yet. Roatha said he would have wanted me to have it, but do I really deserve to enter Merlin's mind?">

*He flips a few pages to one with a nice sketch of him, except younger.*

Ari: <"...I wonder what will happen to him." ...T-This is her diary.>

*He widens his eyes and flips a lot of pages, looking to read about what happened years after the events at Avalon.*

Ari: <"They gave their life to save the world, and now everything is gone. Camelot, magic... After all these years, I still don't know how I am able to continue living as if nothing ever happened. Oh, I almost forgot: Aera Turmill gave birth yesterday. She says she's thinking of naming her daughter 'Allina'. It's a lovely name.">

*He bites his lip, tearing up, and closes his eyes.*

Ari: <...W-Where did you get this?>

Mimiru:<Then turn it off.>

"Then it's settled. We'll split up and search for clues."

N"Well, we need to keep 3 things in mind: Who's best equipped to go after a gun-toting maniac, who's more useful in a cave, & Roatha won't go with Lune."

E"Which way will get me to my sister faster?"

N"That I don't know."

"I'll go with Roatha" Ren says.

"Allina would be more useful in caves, and I'm not going with Lune."

Mimiru:<Neither am I.>

N"So me, Roatha, Ren, Azuma, & Mimiru will go for the pyramids. Everyone else can head for the caves."

R"How the Hell did you decide on that?"

N"You can shoot lightning, I have super-speed, & half of the group is being bitchy."

"We could just not like Lune."

"Fair point, I did try to murder Roatha."

Allina: <If this dude goes with me, he won't have balls by the time we meet back.>

*She points at Lune.*

Allina: <I can go with Taiyo, Euryale and creepy stalker. He can stay here and... watch the.... perimeter.>

N"Alright, fine, he can watch the perimeter. In that case, take Azuma with you, too. God, why are you people all being so high school about this?"

"It benefits the groups if they're made up of people who can co-operate. Have fun with, Ren."

*With the last sentence he looks at Mimiru.*

Mimiru:<Shut up.>

"Cause I tried to kill Roatha?" Lune suggests.

"Cause Isaac is a puss?" Ren adds.

"Cause Ren wants to shag Euryale?" Isaac finishes.

Allina: <Let's go!>

*She walks off towards the caves.*

*The cave group does find the panther outside of a cave. It then darts inside.*

*The ziggarat group is about to come onto a clearing. As the clouds break, moonlight fills the area, & they see cobblestone roads overgrown with gras, a few broken-down stone buildings, & the ziggarat. Unfortunately, it's too tall & too dark to see what's on top of it, let alone inside the entrance at the top chamber.*

*Lune is approached by a man. He has dark skin & is wearing Greco-Roman armor, minus hand guards & helmet. His long, black hair is tied back into a ponytail. He has a long gladius at his belt, & a spear & shield on his back.*

<So...how old are you?>

*Mimiru stares up at the pyramid in awe.*

"We're climbing that, right?"

[I'm gonna brag about this to Azuma so much.]

*Azuma follows the panther into the cave.*

"Old enough to know not to answer that question. What do you want?" he puts his hands in his pockets.

"Dunno, depends on if I can make a tree grow from nothing" he slams his hand downward "Mu, Wu Xing, Five Elements" the ground shakes... and a tiny plant pops up but nothing else happens. "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF"

"I think it wants us to follow it" he follows the panther.

*He unclips a strap across his chest & stabs Lune's stomach with the lance, the shield in his other hand.*

<You were a fool to drop your guard.>

*Yanking it out, he continues into the jungle, leaving Lune bleeding all over the damn place.*

*Soon after they enter the cave, a horrifying beast slithers up out of it. It appears like a hairy humanoid, but with twisted, deformed legs curled up over his head. He also has a forked tongue & a number of fangs.*

"Are cave monsters common in your era?"

"He's gotta be up there. Probably at the top, where he can see us, but we can't see him. That bastard chose the perfect vantage point...even if we called on the others to approach from the other side, almost all of us would probably get shot before anyone managed to get to the top."

*Mimiru steps on the plant because fuck Ren.*

"Even if it's just us, we still outnumber him. That has to count for something, right?"

"Cave monster? That looks like something that's been exposed to radiation for an extended period of time."

Allina: <Mutant snake! I hate snakes.>

*She hides behind Azuma and pushes him forward lightly.*

Allina: <Kill it with fire!>

Ari: <...But then how do you know King Arthur is still alive?>

"No... I handle this" Isaac steps forward and his yellow eye turns purple with purple lines stretching from it as opposed to the cracks from before. His skin doesn't turn black this time. "Back me up" he charges.

Lune groans and grabs his stomach, "Shit, that hurt" he stumbles and wobbles.

E"It doesn't even look remotely like a snake."

*Euryale steps forward, punching at it, but it grabs her fist in one of its feet & grins, biting into her leg. Euryale screams.*

N"All right. There's only one thing for it. Someone cover Roatha while he blasts the pyramid."

R"Hold on there. I've never sent lightning more than 10 feet. I don't know how much control I have over this stuff."

T"Simple. He & Roatha were on Avalon together. If Roatha is still alive, then so is King Arthur."
