Golden Age: Revival

Allina: <...I don't really have any ideas ei--Ahh!>

*The lights go out as they're absorbed by the glowing opal.*

*Nero grabs the gem, examining it with a finger to his chin in thought.*

N"Hmm...that could help...maybe...what else does it do?"

Allina: <How am I supposed to know!? Ask creepy stalker, he gave it to me.>

"It can release the light too" Isaac says.

"Looks like we just saved some time and money."

R"It still doesn't reflect bullets!"

N"Look, you shoot lightning & I have super speed. We may just have to hope that we're first on the draw. Unless anyone else has some powers they want to discover in a convenient fashion?"

Ren holds his left hand up and for a brief second nothing happens. Then he begins to speak, "Huo" an orb of flame sparks to life on the tip his index finger, "Tu" an orb of earth forms on the tip of his ring finger, "Jin", an orb of metal forges on then tip of his thumb, "Shui", an orb of water appears on the tip of his middle finger, "Mu", an orb of wood grows from thin air on the tip of his pinky, "Wu Xing, five elements" he closes his hand and the elements merge and spiral down his arm before dispersing around his body.

Lune claps, "Well, I'd call that a successful awakening of your abilities."

"You're still an ass for attacking me" he responds.

*Allina shrieks and kicks Ren in the crotch.*

Allina: <Freak!>

*He stares at the book.*

Ari: <W-Who wrote it? ...What is it about?>

Ren dodges.

"Isaac can turn into a berserker, I can control the wind, and you think ancestral taoist magic is freaky?" Lune points out.

Allina: <Aidaac can turn into a what? And I thought fauna was the weird part of Australia.>

*She glares at Ren like "You won't be so lucky next time."*

"Can said convenience be when those two stop being stupid?"

E"I'm not waiting any longer! I'll figure it out on the way!"

*She angrily strides into the jungle, Roatha & Nero following.*

N"You'd think she'd at least buy some better shoes."

"I'm sure her immune system is better than ours."

*Azuma, Mimiru, and Taiyo follow follow the other three. Mimiru walking beside Azuma.*

Mimiru:<(Taiyo's been eerily quiet since before we left Australia.)>

"(Try talking to her? You're female, you'd understand, right?)"

Mimiru:<(No. No I wouldn't.)>

Ren, Isaac, and Lune follow.

Allina: <All right, then! Lemme see how to make this thing work.>

*She holds the opal, the light can be seen swirling around inside of it.*

Allina: <..."Let there be light!">

*She chuckles as the opal starts glowing intensely.*

Allina: <Ohh, pretty.>

*Ari stares at Thiera, waiting for an answer to his question.*

*Thiera says nothing as the book smacks him in the face because he's too stupid to catch & read it.*

*When the opal activates, it illuminates a panther standing a few feet in front of them, just staring at them. Euryale, having gone ahead, has practically bumped into it, & takes several hasty steps back. It continues to stare, unmoving.*

"I'm not zoologist, but that's definetly not normal. Shouldn't it be growling and maybe roaring?"

Mimiru:<Yeah, there's probably something else happening besides Euryale's sister appearing out of the blue.>

Allina: <Big kitty!>

*She hides behind Nero 'cause he's disposable.*

"Yeah, not normal indeed" Lune says.

*The panther turns off of the path & runs into the underbrush.*

N"So...which way do we go now?"

"Dunno" Ren responds.

Allina: <Towards the nearest pyramid thingie? Now that I think of it, shouldn't we have gotten a map or something?>

"Because it's so easy to map a jungle, right?"

Mimiru:<How about the panther pyramid we saw when the plane was landing?>

Allina: <Dude. Turism pamphlets have maps with historical marks and stuff like that. Like pyramids.>

*The book stops just as it's about to hit Ari in the face, floating above his palms. He grabs it and opens it.*

Ari: <"Kelphy Colsun"? But that's...>

*No, it hit him in the face, then fell into his palms.*

<It is a very old book, & as I said, the secret to my great prosperity.>

N"I've got a map bulled up. This path leads to a pyramid. I can't tell you if it was the one we saw earlier, I have no way of remembering that. I don't know where that panther was going. Maybe to the cave nearby."

E"The one my sister came out of?"

N"Maybe. The people who found Stheno don't remember which cave they were at."
