*Mimiru grabs on to the pyramid with her free hand.*

*Azuma groans and stands up looking at the man with the spear.*

"I think he's got that covered."

*Taiyo gets up groaning and bleeding from the cuts on her feet and abdomen.*

Allina: <Why the hell is he attacking the dude?>

Ari: <W-What? I want food, please. I think I have money here.>

*He takes the wallet out of his pocket and stares at it, feeling somewhat embarassed from knowing he sounds like he's retarded.*

*There are several hundred dollar bills in the wallet. And a few 10s.*

<What? Boy, are you gonna order or not?>

*The wind breaks over his armor. Scowling, he disappears from sight. Because of this, the monster blinks confusedly for a moment, before turning on them & charging.*

*It does not. It bounces off of the first step of the pyramid.*

N"He shouldn't even have been able to follow me at that speed! Is this guy even human?"

<My new contract...is to eliminate everyone who may know too much about my clients' plans. And you know, it's really a bother. I got this kid I had to use as bait...surely she knows something's up by now.>

Allina: <You moron!>

*She hides behind Lune and kicks him forward.*

Allina: <You attacked the dude, now deal with the monster.>

*He stares at her awkwardly.*

"It's not our fault she has a habit of blabbing everything. You have the same bad habit. (I'm not carrying you up the pyramid. Start climbing or prepare for landing.)"

"Call it a personal issue" the wind rips through the cave digging deep gouges in the stone and slamming into the monster.

"DAMNIT" Ren swears.

*Lune feels something kick him in the same spot he was wounded earlier. Seizing upon his distraction, the monster grabs the ceiling of the chamber with its remaining foot & hurls itself at Taiyo, opening its jaws wide.*

*In this time, Roatha has run up the pyramid & fired another blast, this one narrowly missing Schwarz. He angrily kicks Stheno to the ground, dropping to the ground beside her, gun aiming over the edge at Mimiru.*

*She walks away & comes back with a plate featuring a shiny, steamed crab set atop a lot of rice.*

Allina: <Taiyo, watch out!>

Ari: <...T-Thank you.>

*He reluctantly starts eating with his hands.*

"It's not my fault."

*Mimiru lets go of Nero and rolls grabbing on to a step with her newly freed hand in an awkward and uncomfortable way. Rolling again to right herself, she scrambles to her feet and runs up the pyramid.*

*Taiyo shrieks and ducks, covering her head. A dome of water forms around her before tendrils fire out, grabbing the monster.*

Lune grits his teeth and launches some more wind blades at the creature.

Ren is useless.

*With the monster lacerated to death, Euryale punches the air. The man from before reappears, the helmet flying off his face. He smiles.*

<How did you know where I was? Ah, I see.>

*He looks at his foot, which has a small blood stain on it.*

"You have Perseus's equipment?"

<Well, most of it. Also got this.>

*He pulls a cross attached to a necklace out from under his chest plate.*

*Roatha clears the last step & swings the blade, firing an arc of lightning at the man, but he's gone before it can connect.*

R"What the--"

*Roatha gets shot in his wounded shoulder as Mimiru clears the last step, Nero close on her tail: The man is now standing where beside Roatha. He points the gun at Stheno.*

<Don't. Move.>

*She walks away, leaving him to his meal.*

"The chains of Prometheus, hand them over" Lune demands.

Allina: <Yaaawn. So... do we continue looking for Little Euryale?>

*Mimiru clenches her firsts and grits her teeth.*

*Taiyo looks up, the dome opens up and the water splashes to the ground.*

Taiyo:<What was that?>

*Azuma grabs Lune by the collar and pulls him back.*

"You want to stop being stupid for five minutes and do something productive?"

"I don't know, but we'll figure it out later. This guy has Hermes winged sandals & Hades' helmet that makes you invisible. Obviously, at some point, Medusa was removed from Athena's shield, so we don't have to worry about that. But there's still whatever he did to evade Lune's attack. This guy is really dangerous, & we don't know what he's up to yet."

*The man frowns slightly, walking over to pick up the helmet, a simple leather cap with a plume of red that turns invisible when he touches it.*

<How do you know about the chains?>

*Schwarz leaps into the air, but before he can fire, Roatha lets loose a blast of lightning & pushes Nero & Mimiru over. Large wings sprout from Schwarz's back & he glides around the pyramid.*

N"Okay. Definitely not human."

*Nero grabs a kicking & screaming Stheno & runs down the pyramid at normal human pace, sheathing his gladius.*

*Mimiru gets to her feet and runs down the steps.*

"That's nice. What else is he sporting for the winter catalogue?"

Allina: <So overpowered. So Taiyo, teach me how to make water shields!>

*She pokes Taiyo's nose with her right index.*

"A little coyote told me" Lune says. He's got his defenses up this time for sure as a there's a small breeze blowing around him.

Ren runs like hell.

*Small bands around his ankles unwrap themselves & start fluttering. He lifts off of the ground &, with a smirk, flies deeper into the cave.*

*Roatha occasionally fires a burst of lightning back. Eventually, they make it into a the jungle. Roatha looks around as Nero consults his map.*

N"Just as I suspected. We're lost."

The wind bursts around Lune's feet and he rockets after the man. "Hey now, no one said anything about a game of tag!"

*Mimiru punches Ren in the mouth.*

*Taiyo bats away Allina's hand.*

Taiyo:<I don't know how it happened.>

Allina: <You're mean and I don't like you.>

*Euryale follows into the next chamber of the cave. A long, feathered snake is wound around a pillar with a spear stabbed into its heart & a sword through its head. Even with a hundred-foot snake in it, the room is remarkably spacious, looking more like a Greek temple than a cave. The panther they were following is curled up sleeping beside another pillar while the man is wiping blood off of his shoe.*

<I don't know why you're giving me grief. I just came to reclaim my lance & tie up the big guy. It's Schwarz who's supposed to kill you all & unleash it.>

E"How did no one ever find this place?"

<We aren't in South America anymore. You see, any cave can be made into a gateway to the underworld, provided you know the right trick.>

N"At least there's plenty of cover in the jungle. We need to get away from this guy & find out what the Hell is going on. Seriously. And why won't this chick stop squirming? Ow, she bit me!"

"It could be because you look like the type who'd bite her for nourishment."
