Heathen Frolic

*Belias rush-tackles Luna & keeps going towards Hitomi.*

*While casting Osmose on the newly non-petrified Ark, Hitomi does her best to get out of Belias' path.*

*Ark rolls in front of Hitomi and double slashes across Belias' belly.*

*Luna spears him from the side. The combined attacks prompt Belias to back off slowly down the path.*

<You think you can win? You're as stupid as you are ugly. If you kill me, every Ronso on this mountain will consider you your enemy, to say nothing of the rest of Yevon. How is that "protecting Spira," hmm? You'd be better to lay down your arms & simply let me toss you off of this mountain now.>

Ark: <So what if they hate us? I haven't known Luna for that long but I'm pretty sure she isn't doing this for the fame, especially when...>

*He glances at her and shakes his head.*

Ark: <Your life isn't worth more than anyone else's, Maester or not. If anything you're worth less for lying to the people of Spira with your friends. Letting the Al Bhed be hated for using machina when you're using them for much worse purposes. So--I don't know--if killing you is what it's going to take to save everyone else, I'm down with it.>

*Ark dashes forward and double slashes him again.*

*Hitomi reflect Fira off herself.*

Luna reflects Fira off herself as well, being too far away to really make out what anyone was saying.

*Belias grabs Luna's spear & runs himself through with it, just under the chest. He then bellows loudly.*

<I AM SLAIN! NO RONSO IS SAFE! LET SUMMONER LUNA'S BLOODLUST BE KNOWN FOR GENERATIONS TO COME!>

*He then slides the spear down, causing a gruesome wound from chest to waist, splattering the snow around him, as well as anyone unfortunate enough to be near him, with blood. He grins as he topples sideways off of the mountain, & as he falls, his shadow seems to dart down ahead of him.*

"Well, that could have ended better." Ingrid said, putting away her weapon, "I suggest we get going now, before every Ronso comes for us with revenge on their minds."

OOC: Yes.

*Rather than wait for Luna to say anything, Hitomi begins to make her way up the mountain.*

*Ark trembles, rubbing his hands against his legs to try and clean the blood. He then slowly follows Hitomi silently, staring at her feet as she walks.*

"They're probably going to surround us before we get to the caves! He's got us trapped!"

*Luna is running along the path, brandishing her spear at any small movement of snow.*

"The important thing is not to panic!"

*Ark looks up as Luna runs past him and starts running too.*

Ark: <The important thing is not to panic...>

[Then stop panicing.]

*Hitomi's pace increases into a brisk and not at all imposing walk.*

Ingrid follows at a comparable speed.

*They arrive at a plateu on the mountain path that leads to a cave. The only problem is that there are about a dozen Ronso blocking the entrance. The only OTHER problem is the dozen Ronso coming up the path behind them.*

Ark: <Well, that can't be good.>

*He draws his dagger and turns to the ones coming from behind.*

Ark: <Luna, can you use an Aeon to make your way past the ones ahead? I can try to stall those.>

Ingrid pulls free her stave, getting ready to defend herself while waiting for Luna to give an order.

*Being low on MP and the group being wicked out numbered she stands there waiting for Luna's decision.*

*She touches the ground & the snow melts. Ifrit bursts from the snow underneath.*

"All we have to do is push through into the caves!"

Ingrid casted Drain, then Fira on the forward group of Ronsos.

*Hitomi casts Osmose on a Ronso.*

*Ifrit shoulder-rams the group in front of them, opening a path. The group behind them then catches up, & several of them leap over Ifrit to bar the path.*

*Hitomi casts Thundara at a Ronso in front of them.*

Ingrid casts Fira on the group of Ronso that jumped over them.
