Basically it is a teen with a "Valley girl" mentality, though I could be wrong, I'm not Finnish.

The link says it's a Scandinavian term. And I'm pretty sure Finald isn't a Scandinavian country.

Finland only borders to Sweden and Norway, surely it cannot be Scandinavian... [/sarcasm]

You live in Canada, right? I'm under the impression that country also get bitterly cold winters.

Anyhow, Finland is a part of Scandinavia despite speaking a language not related to the Germanic languages. So unlike Swedish, Norweigan and Danish which is possible to understand by knowing one of the languages, Finish is impossible to understand without any previous knowledge. For example, my native language is Swedish and thus I'm naturally able to communicate with Norweigans and Danes. However, I cannot communicate with a Finlander. I'm not sure what example there might be in the English speaking world.

And also, Finland has been a part of Sweden untill 1809 when it became Russian.

None. The English speaking world speaks English. It's sort of their definition.

What I meant was that I'm unaware of a language that an english speaking person can understand without previous knowledge about the actual language. And I'm too unfamiliar with Spanish and Portuguese or Spanish and Italian to make a comparison, if it's even similar to that extent to begin with.

There really isn't one, just different forms of English.
