In Zanarkand

*Luna blushes.*

"Umm...well...we need to find a way out...and Yunalesca's probably after us...and such...."

[She knows we're here? That does explain why the one I bumped into was acting strange.]

Ark: <Let's start looking then?>

"All we know is that the city is basically a giant Aeon. Even if I had enough power to dismiss an Aeon so monstrously huge, I don't have a pact with the Fayth at Gagazet, & we might just end up as more Fayth. The real Maechan could get here because he was an Unsent, & therefore didn't have to worry about trivial matters such as dying horribly. So, the only option I can see is leaving by boat, which might just get us lost at sea. Still, it may very well be our only choice. Other than staying, of course."

Ark: <Let's go then! Where can we find a boat?>

"At the harbor."

*The trio of guards from earlier spots them. One points.*

2<Freeze!>

"What? I don't understand, what's going on?"

[Ark did something stupid, or this has to do with Yunalesca.]

At the sound of freeze Ingrid half wanted to shoot a blizzard spell at the guards, while making a witty one liner, but instead she simply turned to the group and said, "We should probably leave, if Yunalesca doesn't like us, and she has status and rank here, then those are most likely her goons, and thus, they are out to get us... How did you guys manage to piss off people in a dream world?" The last bit was said in a slightly annoyed tone.

Ark: <Yeaahhhhh... she kind of sent them after me earlier.>

"Even so, this might be our last chance. If they know we'll return to the harbor, they can just get more force to guard it."

*The guards come closer to them, drawing their weapons cautiously.*

"Besides, whether we run or fight, we'll be wanted criminals either way."

"They're only here for Ark."

[I see no problems with giving him to them.]

Ingrid let out a sigh, "Fine, then let us be done with them now." With that Ingrid extends her hands and closes her eyes, as she opens them a black sphere forms around the guards then collapses in upon itself making audible crushing sounds. As the blackness dissipates Ingrid breathes out the word, "Phantasm." Before finishing up the guards with a Firaga spell.

*Having expected danger, one of them survives long enough to hit a button. A crane connected to a large tower sweeps over Ingrid, sprouting a cage around her & lifting her into the air.*

Emergency protocol enabled...deploying Anti-Magic field.

*The top of the tower detaches & starts flying around the piers like some kind of asshole. While that's going on, sirens start going off. Also on the pier is a small, unattended motorboat.*

"...I can't help but think this would be less of a problem if our ranger hadn't disappeared mysteriously."

Ingrid doesn't know what the fuck is going on, "Uh, what the fuck is going on?!"

*With the anti-magic field deployed there's nothing she can do.*

[Handing over Ark was a bad idea why?]

*Had she not caught Ark's brain parasite, she'd note that she's in a cage attached to a crane, around 4-5 stories in the air, & can't cast magic right now. The crane is a simple tower with a beam attached to a joint, the cage on the end. Below, she sees guards running into the worf from both sides.*

*Luna twirls her spear, causing the jackass robot to revolve around her, & move a bit slower, as well. Unfortunately, the draw isn't strong enough to actually attack it.*

"Someone hit it!"

*Ark hurls a grenade at the crane.*

Ark: <Watch out, Ingrid!>

*Because Ark's dumb and didn't attack the Negator, Hitomi proceeds to look around on the ground for something to throw at it. Like a rock or something.*

Ingrid now understanding the gravity of her current situation lets out a sigh, and begins to try and kick open the door to the cage. When the grenade comes she ducks and tries not to get shrapnel in her.

*The Overdrive ends & the Negator flies away. Luna shakes with rage for several seconds before punching Ark in the face. Also, a group of 5 guards runs towards them from behind. On the plus side, the grenade damages the joint of the crane, causing it to lower by a few feet.*

Ingrid lets out a scream as the cage violently lowers a bit thanks to the grenade.

*Hitomi stops searching for anything to throw. The docks having been sweeped clear of all litter or something.*

[Would we be able to just hand the two over to the guards?]

"Hitomi, try to find a way to destroy the crane...but don't actually DO it until we get Ingrid out! I'll handle the guards!"

*She runs towards the guards, who start shooting at her.*

Ingrid hears what Luna said to Hitomi and silently begins to pray that Hitomi doesn't kill her while she is in the cage.
