A Tale of Two Cities

*She punches in an authorization code on the keypad, entering when the door opens.*

Zell simply tags along, slightly proud that she fooled the guards.

*She ends up on a catwalk in a poorly lit hall of pipes.*

*The next area was a contrast to the previous one, crowded & full of cubicled computers. Everyone was wearing a military uniform, no one below the rank of major general.*

Zell followed Thiera and Lilith, assuming that they were moving anywhere.

*Holding on to a guard rail and stepping lightly Hitomi follows the catwalk.*

*She comes up the stairs to a spacious, empty, white hallway.*

L"They must do research on Megadeuses down here."

T"That's great, but it doesn't help us get back up."

*She goes down the hallway.*

Zell just listens along.

*She winds up at a T-intersection. The left has a staircase, the right leads to another T-intersection.*

T"I've got it!"

L"Shh!"

T"Sorry. Zell, climb up on Lilith, then you should be able to see over the whole room."

*Hitomi takes the stairs.*

Zell blushed at the thought, "Don't you think that'd be a bit conspicuous, plus... my dress is kind of short."

T"All right, we'll move behind this cubicle in the corner, then you can do it."

*Hitomi comes up to see a lot of military personnel working in office cubicles full of computers.*

[Wrong turn.]

*She begins to make her way back to the T-junction.*

"I don't really know what I'm looking for..." Zell said, trying to put off climbing up Lilith for as long as possible.

T"Just hurry up before someone gets suspicious."

*At the next T-junction, it's a choice between a long hallway to parts unknown & a short hallway to a water cooler & an L-bend.*

*She takes the hallway to parts unknown.*

Zell fidgets and relents, "Fine, fine, whatever..." She said, climbing up Lilith. "What exactly am I looking for anyway?" She said, cheeks tinged red.

*The hall eventually leads to a door.*

T"Anything that might get us to the next floor."

*She spies another stairwell.*

*She opens the door.*

"There is a stairwell over there." She said pointing. "C-can I come down now?" She asked, still blushing.

L"I suppose."

*It turns out to be a janitor's closet.*

*She closes the door and goes back the way she came to take the L-bend hallway.*

Zell tried to get down as safely as possible, without tearing anyone's dress.

*This hall also has a door at the end.*

*The next floor is similar to the last floor. It's still mostly high-rank military, but not limited to it. The other main difference is that the cubicles contain office spaces, not computers.*

Zell looked around, "Now I know the real reason they commissioned me, this place could use more than a bit of sprucing up..." She let out a sigh, "It's so... drab in here."
