*She opens the door.*

*It leads to another hallway with a T-intersection.*

*Thiera doesn't turn around to face the man in the red suit, & makes her voice much higher pitched.*

"Yes, sir!"

???<Cool. That department's under me, maybe I've heard of you. What're your names, if you don't mind me asking?>

*She looks down the paths of the T-junction.*

Zell pretends to be a mute and doesn't say shit.

*They both lead to L-bends that go deeper into the area.*

"That's, uh, Angela Jenkins."

<Oh? Any relation to Casey Jenkins?>

"Uh, no, but I've got to say, you're not the first person to ask me that." Zell said with mock levity.

*She follows the left path.*

*It goes about 20 feet before culminating in a dead end.*

2<Mr. Arelaz, sir, we've just been informed that Thiera Psyche has infiltrated the building!>

1<Oh...that's bad, isn't it?>

2<...Yes, sir. Yes, that is bad.>

*She goes back to the right path.*

"Oh, thank god it is only one person." Zell said, "Us three will return to our floor, or else we might get caught with this intruder in the halls."

<A-ha! Thought you could fool me, but--oh, sorry. Could've sworn you were a blond, but I guess you were both brunettes the whole time. Well, besides the redhead. Weird, huh?>

T"Let go of my arm before I file sexual harrassment charges!"

<Okay, okay, take it easy, I said I was sorry. Come on, corporal, let's go search on the upper levels.>

*They turn & head down the hallway as a drip of ink falls off of Thiera's bangs. She turns to grind her teeth at Lilith.*

T"I will take you apart in alphabetical order if you ever do that again."

L"...So I take it you won't buy me a new oil can when we get home?"

*It leads to a door.*

"But... I'm blond... and I have red eyes. He didn't even notice my eyes..." Zell said, feeling entirely ignored.

*She opens the door.*

T"Not since Lilith sprayed us all with her spare oil you're not."

L"In my defense, you really should have thought to disguise your appearance more thoroughly before we left."

T"Just because you're right, it doesn't mean I'm not mad."

Zell runs a hand through her hair and feels the oil in it. "I feel dirty in more ways than one..." Zell said. "Still, I doubt Casey goddamn Jenkins has red eyes." She finished, still upset.

*Growing more and more frustrated, she takes the right path.*

Cooling off a bit Zell looks at Lilith and Thiera, "At least this place isn't built like a maze. It is surprisingly easy to get to where we need to go."

*It leads to a T-shaped intersection. Vera is walking down one end.*

T"We had several advantages. They never expected someone to come in from below."

L"But it all means nothing if we can't find an elevator."

*She takes the path Vera is walking down.*

"Well, we're doing good so far."

*Vera turns around.*

<What are you doing here?>

T"We're going about this all the wrong way. What we should be doing is asking ourselves, 'Where would the elevator be?'"

L"We don't know. That's the point."

*Lilith narrows her eyes.*

T"No, you don't understand: The elevator will be closest to whoever is privelaged with the most conveniences. In other words, all we have to do is look for the bigger, nicer offices."

"Lead the way then." Zell said, trying to catch a glimpse of herself in whatever she passed that showed a reflection. "So, how do I look with dark hair?"

"Searching for Thiera Psyche. Why somebody who is familiar with the layout of the facility isn't doing it I don't know."

*Following Thiera's directions, they eventually find the elevators.*

"Then it would appear I'm lost."
