<A statue of Bastet, all the way out here? By jove, I think Taiyo's found our Djinn City. Alright, Allina, work your magic.>

Allina: <Let me out of the car.>

Thiera<This plan is simple. Why do you seek idiotic complications? Besides, you'll have to use the handle. I don't have an "open door" button, that would just be needlessly extravagant.>

"That could work. I've never tried freezing a large body of water or even a body of water. The water being kind of murky might be a problem as well."

*Allina gets out of the fucking car and holds her hands out towards the statue.*

Allina: <Okay. Powers of the sun, the moon and the--I suck at improvising.>

*She starts refracting the light in multiple directions. Several rainbows appear, and any illusion in the area is dispelled.*

*The horn blares behind her. Thiera had smacked her head on the steering wheel. She then lifts it.*

<You were supposed to make the mirage more solid, not get rid of it.>

Allina: <But that's stupid, why do we need a mirage?>

*The rainbows shift positions to make the mirage more solid.*

"I suppose."

*Azuma hunkers down by the shore and splashes his hand about on the the water. Ice forms around his hand and begins to spread through the pond.*

*Roatha & Nero hop onto the ice & start looking around. After a while, Nero points.*

N"There it is. Looks like it's about 5 feet down."

*Roatha turns around & points in Azuma's face.*

R"Ha! Fuck you!"

*Thiera adds her own mutterings in. After a few seconds, the mirage shines a bright white, & when it clears, there are 2 stone statues of Bastet, flanking the gates of an old-style desert city made completely out of gold & marble.*

<Ladies & gentlemen, I present to you, Djinn City. Now, let's get moving, as I'm sure you're all getting quite hungry.>

*She takes the keys & gets out of the car.*

*Allina walks into the city.*

OOC: W'ever.

"So I was wrong."

[With water that deep you'd think there'd be an alligator or something in it.]

"You want to hurry up and get it? I'm not sure how thick this ice is."

Allina: <Shhh. Just go with it.>

*Ari exits the car and follows Allina in.*

N"...Actually, I didn't plan on how to GET it."

*Just then, some freaky-ass monster that looks like a cross between Gollum & a frog with a lilypad full of water on its head bursts out of the ice. About 5 more follow suit, surrounding the trio.*

*As they stroll through the city, they notice several orbs of light drifting in-&-out of buildings, despite there not being any doors. The further they walk, the more stay outside, clustering around them. They begin to fly around in an agitated fashion.*

<I do hope that means they like us. Not that it really matters. I'm packing enough heat to slay a God. Literally.>

[I would've been happy with an alligator.]

"I think ducks are going to be the least of our worries."

*The two continue to follow, Taiyo following awfully close to Mimiru.*

"You're pretty close, you know that?"

Taiyo:<Yes.>

Allina: <I think they're cute.>

*One of them leaps at Azuma, clawing at his face.*

*The orbs of light clear a path for what looks vaguely like a 12-foot-tall bundle of flapping bird wings made of light. The next thing that happens is that everyone hears a high pitched screech that leaves their ears ringing for several moments after it passes. Thiera looks unphased.*

<That is because Mordred was a man. I am not.>

*Azuma falls backwards and kicks at the monster.*

Taiyo:<Owie...>

"What was that?"

*Allina shakes her head.*

Allina: <...That was so weird!>

"I was... afraid and... confused" Luna hadn't actually spoken to anybody in a while, so she felt odd doing it now, "I've been going all sorts of places of my own f-free we.. will."

<Okay? You, ah, want to elaborate on that?>

<Roughly, it asked why I have growths on my chest, as the last humans they spoke to did not. I suspect the Djinn aren't really "up on" human anatomy. You didn't understand? Guess you're not very good with your powers.>

*It screeches some more. Thiera looks back at them.*

<I'll understand if you want to wait outside the city.>

*It skids backwards across the ice. While it hops up, two grab Nero's coat & another steals his gladius. Another pair try to do something similar with Roatha, but he stomps on the head of the one trying to grab his coat & slips, thus avoiding the other. The ice cracks when he hits it.*

*Azuma holds up a hand and an ice crystal forms and fires at the monster trying to steal Nero's gladius.*

"Not to you" Luna frowned slightly, "If I'm going to reveal my secrets to anybody, it'll probably be your senior officer."

<I don't think he really cares. We checked out the circumstances behind your disappearance. While they were certainly suspicious, unless you could shoot a bullets that curve or bite people, you clearly had nothing to do with any of it.>

Seraph didn't lie, as I knew he wouldn't, because the only way he can influence the world anymore is by telling people what they want to know & hoping they end up accidently killing themselves.>

*She turns to the Djinn.*

<I'm simply here to make sure you do not ally yourselves with my enemies. It's self-preservation, you understand.>

*The crystal tears through its arm, causing it to drop it. One climbs on Roatha & starts clawing viciously at his head. Nero punts it. Another jumps on Azuma from behind & begins clawing on HIS head.*

"Can you.. uh, check out my house and stuff for me?" Luna asked, "Please? I need to know if I can go back there without finding out it's been sold or demolished."

*Azuma reaches around and grabs it with both hands and attempts to freeze it.*
