<It doesn't look very good. I've fixed most of what was damaged, but I doubt that, if he recovers, anything on his right side will work the way it used to. I have to admit, slip-shod or not, if he hadn't been healed before he'd gotten here, he'd already be dead.>

*Anyone who happens to look into the bowl sees Nobunaga swing his sword, sending a crescent of blue-white energy that smashes into the section of roof Nero is standing on & creates an obscurring explosion of dust.*

Noctis shrugged, "I only found out I could do special things with my shadow a few months ago, I guess it just never dawned on me that there might be others, and if there were I certainly never would have guessed they would be in some kind of blood feud. What exactly are you fighting over anyway? It can't be money, you're incredibly affluent, and the man who attacked me introduced himself as the Emperor of Japan."

<Oh, we were in the Illuminati together, but I've started doing my own thing now, & they're pretty upset about that. So they want to kill me and get control over the situation as quickly as possible. And, as you can see, they're doing such a great job at that.>

*She points to the bowl, where helicopters were now patrolling the area around where Nobunaga & Nero were fighting last.*

"The Illuminati? Really? Like, full blown new world orders, and shadowy organization Illuminati? I thought that was nothing more than some urban myth, and even if it isn't, how long has magic been a part of all this. How come more people don't know about the things you guys can do?" Noctis asked.

*Thiera sighs & turns towards Noctis.*

<Alright, here's the history: Do you know the guy who lost out on being President of Russia recently? Koshkey? He's actually one of the first Tsars, & he made himself immortal by sealing his soul into an egg & hiding it away on the island of Avalon. Well, a long time ago, he went to see the sons of Alexander the Great. Together, they conspired to make an organization that would allow them to rule the world in secret. Of course, long before that, most magic was sealed away, during the fall of Camelot. It was less than a year ago that it really began to return, and they have been gathering items & persons of power ever since.>

E"Yeah, yeah, but they don't have Australia or the Americas, we've heard this story before. Will you just tell us how to defeat Nobunaga?"

"That worked wonders for us before. Why not use that lance? He's supposed to be a desendant of some goddess, so shouldn't it work on him like it did on the snake-god in South America?"

"If we catch him when it's night" Luna said tiredly, "Then we'd have a better chance of killing him... my illusions might help a lot."

Noctis furled her eyebrows, "Wait, if they're trying to gather people with power than why did they try to kill me instead of recruit me?"

T"That's not what I meant. I meant beings of godlike power. Speaking of, the Lance of Longinus is just an ordinary spear that can happen to injure Gods. The reason it pinned Quetzacoatl to the cave wall is because he had it & the Caladbolg jammed through his heart & brain. That makes it very difficult to do much of anything. But, fortunately for you, Nobunaga is not immortal."

E"Then let's just go. We can use the sword fragments to teleport us there."

"Oh joy, 'godlike power'," Noctis said, shaking her head. "Wait, did you just say you killed Quetzacatl, like, the Teotihuacan one?"

<It was Longinus. Besides, Gods cannot be killed, only contained. Quetzacoatl was freed & then sank back into the Underworld, where not even Koshkey dares to tred.>

"If you're done asking questions that can be asked any time we should get going if we're going to rescue Nero."

"We? I don't plan on going anywhere within 100 miles of that guy!" Noctis said, "You said America was still free, so I'm taking the next flight back."

Noctis felt a pit in her stomach, "So then what do you assume I do, go galavanting over the world fighting gods, and shadow organizations with you. If I go missing someone is going to notice, and what happens when my face shows up in the news with the headline, 'creepy magic girl kills Jesus'?"

While Kyoujin got a glass of water, Luna stood up and spoke, "Maybe we should go? We are wasting time. There are lives at stake here."

"Oh, I'm sure he'll be fine."

E"I'm teleporting now. If either of you are coming with us, this is your last chance."

*She snaps her fingers & a post-it note on a nearby table detatches itself from the main stack.*

Realizing that 'You can't just leave me here!' would sound entirely hypocritical after what she just said, Noctis let out a sigh and said, "Fine, just tell me how to get out of this house and I'll find my way home."

"I'm going" Kyoujin announced after finishing her water.
"Me too." Luna nodded.

*Taiyo collects her lance from where she dropped it and returns. She holds the sword piece that wasn't yanked from her hand out.*

Taiyo:<He might need this if it can be fixed.>

*They teleport out without telling Noctis what she wants to know.*

Noctis lets out a long scream to release her frustration, before finally calming down. "I've got to get out of here." She told herself, I realize they saved me, and that I should be thankful, but this is too much. All I can do is a few parlor tricks, good for scaring people, and intimidating others, but... I can't go around fighting... Quetzalcoatl, or Japanese gods, or whatever the hell these guys do. I've got a life to live, expectations, and obligations to meet.
