Sins of the Father

Seeing the smiling faces of her lost mother and sister Ingrid's eyes tear up a bit, but she still smiles, happy to at least see their faces again. This was the first time she had ever been to the Farplane, and the experience was far from what she expected.

Ronso<I take it you're here to learn what you wouldn't listen to while we were alive?>

""Yes...but oh, where are my manners? Ingrid, this is Lilith & Gilgamesh. We, uh, kind of killed them in the name of Yevon."

Ingrid heard Luna call her and turned to her family, "Um, goodbye, and I love you." She said shakily. To her surprise they smiled and waved goodbye back to her.

Ingrid rushed to Luna's side, wiping away tears that were forming in her eyes. "Hello, nice to meet you. I'm Ingrid. As for killing in the name of Yevon, I can assure you that no such thing was done while I've been a part of this party."

Gilgamesh<So we've heard.>

Lilith<As it so happens, we want to help you.>

"Really?"

Gilgamesh<Oh, absolutely. You're continuing where we left off. And look where we ended up.>

Lilith<Frankly, we can't think of better vengeance than setting you on the path of your systematic capture and execution.>

"Well...thanks...I think...."

Gilgamesh<What I can tell you amounts to this: I used to think my father was behind the conspiracy, but since it hasn't slowed down since you killed him, there must be someone above even him. If anyone would know more, it would be Senthose or one of the Maesters.>

"Like the one we just killed?"

"Senthose said Jyscal didn't know anything."

Gilgamesh<Pfah. That arrogant whelp has been sealed away for months.>

"'Whelp'? He's like 200 years old, or something."

Gilgamesh<147, actually. But he's still small & insignificant.>

*The 2 vanish.*

"They seem pleasant." Ingrid said to Luna. "So, what now, we track down a maester that we didn't already kill, and ask for information?"

"We could just ask Senthose. He's already here."

Ingrid tenses, and looks around, "W-where...?" She asked, trying to suppress memories of the shower.

"He's...he's my Aeon. He comes when I call him, & sees everything I see."

*Luna puts a hand to her mouth & blushes.*

"O-oh dear. He sees everything I see."

Ingrid fidgets, "I don't like that."

*Hitomi goes from staring at Pyreflies to the bracelet on her wrist.*

[He was an enemy, so why was it wrong to eliminate him? And he called Luna a monster. She scolded me.]

*She holds up her hand and stares at it.*

[I don't understand how I did something wrong. I don't like it when Luna's called a monster, but if it's wrong to react to it then what should I do?]

*The Pyreflies Hitomi was staring at turn black & whirl around, forming Senthose.*

"ARK DID!" Ingrid yelled almost out of reflex. "I mean, what art gallery?"

*Ark sneezes as he's heading out of Guadosalam towards the Moonflow.*

*Ark's road is blocked by a sleeping dragon because fuck that wanker.*

*Ark goes back inside and peeks down the tunnel leading out to the Thunder Plains, quite certain it's blocked as well.*

Ingrid raised an eyebrow, "Why is that more important?"

*Hitomi stands up and fucks on off out of the Farplane. Unlike Ark, she just lingers around outside.*

"That's nice, but about those Sinspawn Labs."

<What happened to "We can't attack the church"?>

*Hitomi sits outside the Farplane.*

"Oh, so it is simply personal." Ingrid said, running a hand through her hair. "Then again, I guess it is good for Luna not to be spied on by her Aeons. I imagine that must make things weird when it comes to intimacy with Hitomi." Ingrid then looked around, "Where is she anyway?"

"Outside. But I don't know what you mean, 'problems with intimacy.'"

*Senthose sighs.*

<What I can tell you amounts to this: This has been going on since long before my time.>

"So you think it's been handed down between Maesters?"

<Either that, or there is an Unsent involved.>

"Aren't you and Hitomi in a relationship... never mind, it doesn't matter." Ingrid said, letting Senthose continue.

*Ark doesn't go outside anyway because the lightning bolts don't look very friendly. He decides to just sit down outside the inn for now.*
