Sins of the Father

*He quickly throws up a barrier that takes the Flare before shattering.*

"He didn't use Atomos."

*More Sinspawn rise out of the ocean. Unlike the others, they all have faces or butterfly crests burned into them somewhere.*

Bevelle<What began with the Machina War will end with a small band of heretics. Sin is the most powerful summon ever to be made. And it will soon be mine.>

*With that, he teleports on top of Sin's head.*

*Hitomi casts Holy on St. Bevelle.*

Oh crap, this isn't good. Ingrid thought, casting Meteor on Bevelle, hoping to take Sin out with it too.

*Ark pokes Hitomi.*

Ark: <Can I get a Reflect please? I'm quite certain Ingrid's trying to kill us all.>

*He gets Shell as Reflect doesn't protect against Meteor.*

*He throws up a quick barrier to take the Holy, firing an Ultima off to vaporize most of the Meteors. He grunts when the main one hits him. By this point, the modified Sinspawn are re-fusing with Sin.*

<I swore I would survive, to unlock the secrets of Zanarkand's summoning magic. And now, thanks to you Senthose, I have that secret! If Sin absorbs a Sinspawn-Summoner hybrid, that hybrid can take control. But one isn't enough. There are just too many souls that comprise Sin. The obvious solution was to create Sinspawn with copies of my own mind, to attack Sin from all sides. That's why I had Yevon give heretics Trial By Ordeal. Plenty of time to capture them and create these masterpieces. No one would miss them. In fact, the rest of Spira would just assume they were dead.>

*As the Sinspawn fuse with Sin, the flesh at the back of its head bubbles, the Unsent's cloak fusing with it. The horrible new abomination rises higher & higher into the air on a twisted filament of Sin's skin.*

"How are we going to kill something like that?" Ingrid asked, daunted by her last spell being blocked by an even stronger spell.

<We get up close and personal.>

*The filament stops growing when it's about 100 feet tall. The Unsent waves a hand, causing 3 chunks of Sin to break off & fly the whole way across the Calm Lands to the party, hovering around them as floating flesh flowers.*

"Why isn't he using Atomos? That defeated us easily last time."

*The flowers open & shoot lasers at Hitomi, Luna, & Ingrid.*

*Hitomi casts Protect & Shell on herself.*

Ingrid tried to dive out of the way of the lazer while casting Meteor on Sin's head filament thingy.

*Sick of their shit, Bevelle casts Osmose on both of them, then Reflect on himself. Luna uses Spiral of Death, causing the flowers to dissolve. Senthose starts running towards Cordysin.*

*Hitomi downs an Ether, casts Dispel on St. Bevelle and follows through with Holy.*

Ingrid uses Phantasm on Sin, and Osmose on Bevelle.

*A dome of flesh surrounds the mages, trapping them in darkness. Meanwhile, Cordysin casts an Ultima on the warriors.*

[I don't want to do this. It's cause so much trouble, but I have no choice.]

*Hitomi casts Blizzaga, hoping the spike will punch through the dome.*

*Ark casts Flare followed by Aeroga on St.Bevelle.*

Ingrid flares whatever is trapping her.

*As the dome breaks apart, the Cordysin surrounds itself with some kind of dense white fog. Meanwhile, tentacles burst from the ground near the old Al Bhed camp, trying to latch on to Senthose, Luna, & Ark. Senthose cuts the tentacle attacking him, but Luna's dodges her attack & whips her in the face.*

Ingrid flares the tentacles attacking Luna.

*Ark draws his daggers and starts slashing away at the tentacles.*

*After the tentacles, it sends out half a dozen more flesh flowers, which circle the area. Also, a translucent clone of St. Bevelle forms in front of Senthose, casting dispel on everyone, then Ulima on the Final Aeon. This blows his arm off, which slowly begins to grow back.*

*Ark hurls a grenade at a flesh flower and casts Flare on another one.*

Ingrid casts protect on herself, then Meteor on the flesh flowers.

*Afterwards, the clone casts Osmose on everyone. Senthose slashes at it, but it disappears, reappearing behind him. Up above, the Cordysin casts Ultima on the party.*

Ingrid casts osmose on Bevelle then casts Meteor on Sin.
